To all others commenting on the broken layouts. It's MAL fault and I'm tired of their shit. I'll move to Anilist for the time being, whether or not I come back to MAL is totally up to them. They NEED to get their APIs back online, and fix the import code. And no I DON'T FUCKING GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THE FORUM, OR THE STORE at all. Are they trying to sell their shit to disappointed customers? That's not how you run a business.

I've installed GochiUsa layout and it works perfectly. I've come to say my thanks to this amazing CSS designer! I hope the layout won't break though.

Alrighty, here's my thoughts on it. Hope it helps.

The UI is a bit confusing as a first visitor, and in my opinion there's some things that could be cleaned up.

First thing that caught my eye is the envelope icon. It doesn't scream "homepage" or "main feed" to me, I've never seen it in that context. I would replace this with a home symbol or perhaps simply "Home".

Another quick comment is the date at the top left of the page (left of trending). It is aesthetically pleasing in a certain sense but adds unnecessary clutter. Do users need to know the date? Is it any more convenient than their system's date?

The header drop-downs are varied in style and in my opinion should be condensed and simplified. Their purpose is to find the correct category, nothing else. There are already articles and even category-based articles displayed on the main page, adding articles into the navigation header just muddies the water. I would remove all articles from the header and simplify it a lot. Make it extremely clear that these are article categories and expand them to fill the entire page-wide dropdown. Don't have more than 1 extra layer of dropdowns, and only for very minor cateogries (such as "Đạo diễn" category and such, where you're more likely to have few articles). I don't have time to make a mockup right now, but I was thinking a menu such as NewEgg's could potentially be useful here, as they have logical category/subcategory navigation that makes clear what you are looking at [Example].

This is a biggen. The hamburger menu. It's great on the smaller mobile version of the website, but on the wide desktop version I strongly believe it should be trashed. It's not in a common location for a hamburger menu activator and the only info it lists that cannot be found on the main header is the comprehensive category list. I don't believe the category list is worth keeping either and should be scrapped, in favour of users searching for what they want or navigating from similar articles. They're not going to find what they want there anyway once you have 100 or more categories with dozens of artist names mixed in with broad categories used for article types. Instead, I would keep the main categories people might look for in the main nav and remove the unsorted category list entirely. Or, if not removed, then moved somewhere more intuitive (maybe near search somewhere).

This one is very subjective, but I feel the trending text and the article slider could be slowed down somewhat. It would give the users a bit more time to swallow the information and first timers would have an easier time drinking in the page flow.

On a minor note, the animation of the header dropdowns overlaps with the other header items. I don't personally like this. Tiny other thing, the header is off by one pixel on each side that lets the article images peak through and it bugs me lol. [Image]

Finally, I just wanted to ask what the "Bài chọn lọc" section is for? I have no critique on it except that I don't know its purpose. Google Translate's answer of "Selected Articles" does not help (lol).

I hope it doesn't come across too harsh, but I don't want to overly filter my feedback either. I will admit some of the first-time confusion may have been alleviated was I not an English-only scrub. :)

Oh that's really good of you guys then! That's fantastic if you're the first and they aren't familiar with that kinda content. I definitely take that kind of content for granted now.

How did you get involved with the blog? The idea just came to you? Also I can promote it in a future mass message in my group if you want.

Unfortunately a lot of it isn't readable - something other than English - so I can't really give a decent impression about how useable it would be. Thats an important part. Translator makes it seem ok tho. I saw some very long articles, so someone would have to really like the material. Personally, I like shorter articles and interesting news that would open me up to something new rather than the majority of anime blog content which is all the same. imo the new anime itself is interesting enough to watch but not interesting enough to read articles about it, the culture around it is.

And it doesn't look bad, which is something you do not want, and it looks useable and professional which is good. Good job! Tho I think content is most important. Knowing and learning to have stuff your audience wants. If you're making stuff they say they like, that's great! And having ratings helps to track that :D
