Hibike ! Euphonium: I just love this show so much, it has solid character developments, great camera works and every little details you can imagine.. The art has a little touch of Hyouka's feelings, lots of subtle movements, interactions between characters that make them so real and a progressive plot line which distinguishes it from K-on! Oh and those yuri scenes really bait me in.

Kekkai Sensen: Tbh I wasn't sure what to expect from this when I first watched( maybe another disaster like Soul Eater Not?). But KS just blew me away with its premise. Concepts are good (I really like how the city was surrounded by mysterious mist, it was gorgeous. The story telling is impressive (nostalgia Baccano feelings), plots are not in chronological order but they become a big picture when connect. It has touching, fun and epic moments. But the downside is that KS may not appeal to some people due to episodic nature and not-too-serious at times.

Oregairu ss2: I really don't want to write a long paragraph and Yui is the best girl xD.

Sidonia no Kishi ss2: I fall in love with it from the first season, can't tell you guys how exciting am I waiting for it every week, and why does every episode have to end with a cliff hanger lol? The show put me on the edge of my seat. Post apocalyptic settings are not something new but SnK handles them extremely well and it just keep getting better when the story advances. It has many good twists and interesting new characters who were introduced in this season(Tsumugi, etc).

Plastic Memories: I'm a sucker for romance genre, although PM might be too overdramatic at the certain situations but seeing the 2 love birds's interaction always warm my heart. The end will be unpleasant for some of us (it's a kind of show you already knew the end) but I always wish for something magically happens.

Yamada and seven witches: after thinking where should I put this between disappointment section and favorite, I will just go with this. It's not really your typical harem comedy show but it focuses on 1 main heroine as the plots progress. Too bad the show has potentials to be a decent harem-rom com but it feels extremely rush in later arcs. Still one of my favorites. I'm thinking of picking up the manga really soon.

Shokugeki no Soma: although this is a cooking(and ecchi) show but why is it so interesting? I never know a food show can be this fun to follow. Yukihira easily becomes one of my male-favorite characters. He has confidence and a hard working chef(we can see how much time he spent on thinking and preparation just to create a perfect dish). Lots of memorable and fun characters as well. This show literally restores my faith in J.C Staff when it comes to main stream shows.

Guilty pleasure:

Danmachi: nothing much to say beside this is a SAO version 2.

Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha ViVid: I did enjoy a few episodes at start but now the subs are no where to be found :(.

Big disappointments:

Fate UBW: probably I will receive a lot of hate for saying this, but the show seems underwhelming to me. The story and plots are not but trying to be mature (Shirou's idealism), lots of deus ex machina and plot conveniences. Good things about the show that stands out to others, are solid art and animation.

Arslan Senki: It has a good premise and I was really looking for it when hearing Hiromu would be involved. But it quickly became worse with each episode passing by. Poor usage of jokes, inconsistent animations and poor delivery of the story.

Denpa Kyoushi: literally the worst show this season. I really think A-1 just make this to fill in whatever the slot they have left. Story extremely lacks of maturity, art and animation are a joke.

Ore Monogatari: It has a good start but turned out to be mediocre since the middle part. Every episode is the same as each other(dragging too much) and I really dislike when Takeo is forced to use his orge strength just to solve some dramatic situation. Such as he save Yamato's friends by risking his life into a burning house (which is okay, idm), but then they pushed forward by using his strength(again) when some construction were falling down over Yamato, and then(again) Yamato slipped down the mountain just so Takeo had another chance to save her. What I need is more story, actual plots, not some damsel in distress situation all over the place. When I heard the staffs were involved in making Chihayafuru, my expectation was really high though.

Seraph of the End: I was hoping for a great show but unlike the quality W.I.T had displayed in SnK, OnS did not really live up to my expectation(and WIT standard). Right now I feel like they just add some big baits to hook the audiences. Animations/art styles are inconsistent and just plain bad. Immature/trying to be cool dialogues make it disturbing to watch.

Underrated anime:

Re-kan: the pacing is very slow, it's hard to digest at first but there are some good touching story in later episodes. Simply put, I come here for the slice of life and comedy but did not expect all the feels.

You can find every Fall season anime on this chart:
http://i.minus.com/iN9XVEaLZSu7d.jpg

And this page is for the count down time if you're interested:
http://countdown.mandragon.info/

Finally, I'm gonna use the a,b,c scale to justify the pros and cons of each anime first episode.
Base on: 1 - Story/plot
2 - Characters
3 - Sound/Music
4 - Art/Animation

Okay, I'm gonna start first.

The list is in the order of my enjoyment.

1 - Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!:
Very entertaining episode, solid start with a com-rom anime. I wouldn't expect more from Kyo Ani, but I want moar of their anime xD. 12episode as expected to adapt their own light novel, so it's obvious that this anime is just a mean to advertise the original novel(2volume currently).

Good music, quality animation, nice art styles, comedy in chuuni doesn't bore me even a bit. Oh it's Kyo Ani btw, moeness is always over 9000, but as long as the show itself is entertaining to watch, it doesn't matter.

Story/plot: C
Characters: B+
Sound/Music: B
Art/Animation: A

2 - Shinsekai yori:
Mystery, supernatural, based on the atmosphere I think thriller/horror genre would also fit the series.

The start was rather slow, but I like it, I really like the dark theme and its atmosphere disturbed me(well in a positive way), I felt like the whole village was setting up something and there would be nasty secrets wait to be dig up.
Music fits the show quite well.

Story/plot: B
Characters: B-
Sound/Music: C+
Art/Animation: B+

3 - Hidamari Sketch x Honeycomb:
Finally, after 1 year waiting, here it comes Hidamari xD.
It never gets bored, as a slice of life sucker, I love every second of it, the feelings when watching 1st episode was just like the old day when I knew about Hidamari. Relax atmosphere plus some nicely short comedies made me smile the whole ep.

At least after high revenue from bd sales, Shaft finally put some love and efforts to Hidamari, I can see they have improved the arts, visuals.

Hiro x Sae ftw xD.

Story/plot: B
Characters: B-
Sound/Music: C
Art/Animation: B

4 - Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun:
How can I dislike anything about this one?
It has some comedy moments, the couple was a bit wacky but very entertaining to see. And glad to see there was a quiet moment they comforted each other, warm my heart a bit.

Unlike many annoying and timid female lead. Shizuku is quite special, she made the mc fall for her, she's arrogant, but also a kind person inside. And obviously the mc isn't an indecisive dude. The only problem this show was fast pacing, everything happens so sudden.

Story/plot: C+
Characters: B+
Sound/Music: C
Art/Animation: C

5 - Magi:
Wow, I'm hooked, damn you sneaky little pervert Alibaba-kun xD.

A-1 did a good job here honestly, I was really amazed by those simplistic art styles yet quality animation. The music reminds me of a fantasy Arabian world. The story also seems to be interesting as well, aladdin and alibaba, what a combination. All the mythology creatures as well. Overall enjoyable episode.

Definitely a must follow show this season.

Story/plot: B
Characters: B-
Sound/Music: C+
Art/Animation: B

6 - Btooom!:
First episode is quite good actually, for those who have already read the manga and knew that the mc isn't a useless scumbag xD, he might have problems in his real life, being a hikkimori, play games all day, but that's how the story works( if he isn't, then btoom wouldn't exist in the first place). He's gonna be more mature later on, a badass or at least he uses his brain more than muscles.

And people who haven't read the manga first, his weak and coward characteristic in the beginning could be a thing they dislike the show.

Himiko is pretty much a mobile fanservice device, I do like her though. But after what Madhouse had done last season with Oda Nobuna, you know what to expect.
Music is good, I enjoy this episode.

Not gonna watch low quality raw 2nd episode though.

Story/plot: B-
Characters: C+
Sound/Music: C
Art/Animation: B

7 - Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo:
Lol very funny and entertaining first episode. Well I wished J.C could have poured money on LB! instead, but it doesn't matter anyway since I like this ...

Yeap pretty much this show is a rom-com show(maybe harem too). I laughed so much during the first ep, that was one wacky place where only the mc is considered normal but people would just see him as one of the weirdos. Now he's gonna take the responsibility for the pure white girl. The artworks were catchy, especially the char designs. I guess I'm gonna follow this show.

Story/plot: C
Characters: C+
Sound/Music: C
Art/Animation: B

8 - Bakuman 3

This adaptation is faithful to the manga, J.C Staffs make me wonder if they are only bad with VN/LN adaptation, cause most of their goodies came from manga (Hayate, Kimi to boku, nodame, etc).

The artworks are still the same as previous one, but it was interesting to see the main couple's developments, now that was a big progress when they held hands together (lol). Okay no complains so far.

Story/plot: B-
Characters: B
Sound/Music: C
Art/Animation: B-

9 - Sukitte Ii na yo.:
Feels like kimi ni todoke, isolated girl x hot boy. This one was more predictable when stranger came and she asked her knight for help, typical shoujo setting but I like it, the pace was rather slow, but enjoyable. Along with Tonari this season, both will be good to follow.

The animation and art styles are pretty decent over all.

Story/plot: C+
Characters: C+
Sound/Music: C
Art/Animation: C+

10 - K:
Visual's stunning, the animation is so much win, and what words can I use to describe the quality of music? superb? No it's not enough.

Although the plots seem to lack of substances but it's just only the first episode, whoever wishes to see a coherent plot really need to be patient.

Oh well, music, animation are worth watching even if the plot could turn into crap. But just don't hype up your expectation since it's a shoujo after all. But wait, neko-chan can be one of the reason I decide to follow this :P.

Story/plot: C-
Characters: C
Sound/Music: B+
Art/Animation: A

11 - Zetsuen no Tempest:
Damn I like Bones :X, and i believe Aika hasn't died that easy cause she's one of the main characters.

Good animation (although the art isn't on pair with K), music is catchy as well. But the plot was a mess, or at least it wasn't relevant to me. As most of the super natural/sci-fi always start with a big question. Gonna follow a few more episode.

Story/plot: C
Characters: C+
Sound/Music: C
Art/Animation: B

12 - Kamisama Hajimemashita:
The plot is kinda lame, like many other shoujo: due to family matters, poor little girl ended up being helped. Then suddenly she met a tsundere bishi, nothing really new. But the episode was somewhat funny to watch.

I think I will stick to this one for several more episode before decide to on-hold or drop it.

Story/plot: C-
Characters: C+
Sound/Music: C
Art/Animation: C

13 - Busou Shinki:
lol why is the score so low on MAL?

first episode wasn't so bad, and the fighting animation was done well.
So it's gonna be a shinki harem for the mc after all lol. Nevertheless, with this type of setting, this won't ever be a decent show for the Fall season.

Story/plot: C
Characters: C
Sound/Music: C
Art/Animation: C+

14 - Code:Breaker:
Exciting start but no more than typical shounen. By coincidence she met him while he was burning pp alive, after that he's a school transfer and her classmate, mediocre setting, nothing's really special.

Have too many actions this season, guess I'm gonna follow this show for a few episode before decide to on-hold it. The only reason I like was those scenes when pp were burned alive lol. Good animation btw.

Story/plot: C
Characters: C-
Sound/Music: C-
Art/Animation: C+

15 - JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (2012):
Okay, the story looks good, but not impressive. But not sure if I want to watch a shounen show like this one if it's not for the plot, cause the animation was done terribly bad. And not because the art looks old that it stands out or has to be good tbh, and yeah I don't like the arts.

The characters remind me of Zetman for some reason(especially Jojo was being spoiled so hard, then Dio turned out to be a bad version of Zetman), but the show's an old school gem so that kind of feeling is wrong though.

Gonna watch this for the plot.

Story/plot: B
Characters: C
Sound/Music: C
Art/Animation: C-

16 - Hayate the Combat Butler! Can't Take My Eyes Off You:
The first episode is quite horrible, and I have to say Hayate franchise should stick with J.C Staff cause J.C is always good at adapting stuff from manga (bakuman, kimi to buku), they aren't good with LN/VN though.

As for enjoyment, seems like I didn't enjoy much compare to the time I watch the first episode of Hayate ( especially Hayate 2nd season, so much love with Hinagiku <3).

So, comedy was lame (make fun of nagi's dad death to create comedy!? Seriously? It wasn't fun), horrible paced, and felt like dejavu with the chasing at the end.

Nothing new, the arts felt awkward, they should do something about the character's hair btw. I want J.C Staff designs back!

Story/plot: C-
Characters: C
Sound/Music: C
Art/Animation: C-

17 - Onii-chan Dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne:

Nothing much to see here except fanservices and moe. The only thing motivated me to keep watching this is how moe the imouto is. Beside the plot which has nothing.

This looks like a plotless harem ani with cute arts. Nothing more.

Okay I'm gonna put down this one here cause I don't know where should I put it on the list.

# Little Busters!

Tbh, as a fan of Key, and Key's anime adaptation which mostly came from Kyo Ani, you guys know that art/animation hold a large percentage of success in Key's adaptation. Whoever doesn't care about the artworks is lying.

Just look at this scene gave me a chill

Honestly? low budget that much? And those slide-show scenes at the beginning. J.C Staff should have dropped a portion of their projects this season if they want to animate LB!
Look at Kyo, just only a few anime each year(this year Hyouka and Chuuni --> see the differences? ), meanwhile, J.C does a few anime each season (bakuman, LB, sakuranosou pet kanojo, last season? I didn't even remember cause I don't want to). That's just too much if they want to make something good.

I know J.C staffs tried their best to adapt LB!, but the animation is nowhere, yes, nowhere near Kyo Ani. As a fan of Key's adaptation, I expect more, and I require more. If they want to make a cheap animated adaptation, they better not to do it in the first place. Not because it's J.C Staff that we have to keep our expectation low. It's fking nonsense.I blame J.C for the cheap budget!

Beside, the first episode was enjoyable cause I managed to withstand the artworks. I felt a little rushed, but it can't be helped due to the time constrained. Okay, I'm gonna stick around for several episodes. Hope they won't screw anything, beside the artworks which have already been screwed. Btw It's a good thing that they still use ost from the novel though.

Sound/Music: B

Dropped anime

# Ixion Saga DT:
Lame, bland, boring ... I regretted wasting 20min watching the show.

It doesn't require years to develop a taste, but it does not mean that you will be bound to a specific "taste". The longer time you spend on anime, the more "tastes" you will find to be interesting. Let's put this simple, your taste does not bound to a single genre. Let's assume that you only watch shounen show right now, but later on, you will find fun in other types, genres as well, it can be horror, thriller, comedy, science fiction, and so on.

You find Death Note to be interesting? How about Clannad? Baka to test?

Taste, you can argue, in general it has nothing to do with genres, but there is always a show out there that suit your taste which you haven't found, and your taste can be varied from time to time.

I haven't found Code Geass to be interesting since I first started watching anime, but after watching anime for a while, I rewatched it, and was amazed by the show, Gurren Lagann was the same too.

I don't like it at first [ due to my taste], but now it [my taste] probably has nothing to do with the enjoyments I've been through while watching a show, you can say my taste has changed. Actually, I think "develop" is the precise word to use for my taste now.

Anime Relations: Sword Art Online
When I heard they were gonna cram 4 volumes into 25 episode, I knew that the potential for SAO adaption to be flawless as the origin was minimal. [ As I've experienced, there always lack of details, poor developments, several plot holes which affect on the flow of story due to the limited length which any adaption has to face with ]. Keep that in mind, without rising any expectation, I watch the anime for its own merits, I enjoy what the adaption tends to deliver. Sometimes they failed to deliver a scene I like, or cut it off the script completely, I would feel bad, but ... I understand that each adaption has its own circumstances, and we - audiences - have to bear with it.

Sword Art Online is a seinen, fantasy, action, romance novel which attracts a majority of anime fan when it was first announced to have an anime adaption. It was written in 2002, but the author refused to shorten the manuscript into 120 pages long, he decided to create a website to put up all of his works, and continue on writing. During this time, he received positive comments which encourage him not to give up, and improve his writing skills. Six years have passed, as his efforts have not been wasted, Dengeki Bunko published SAO novel, the author's website recorded a exceeding number of 6.5 millions page views. Three years later, the anime version had been green-lit.

As a novel reader, I always distinguish adapted products (including manga, anime, visual/light novel) into 2 type: the one which has potential to be good, and the other does not ( or has a lower chance of successfulness).

In most of the case, light/visual novel adaptions hardly tend to be great as its origin. Which would be the case for SAO. Sometimes they failed to deliver a scene I like, or cut it off the script completely, of course I would feel bad, but ... what can they do about it? Each adaption has its own circumstances, and we have to bear with it.

I'm sure that a majority of MAL community has payed attention to SAO only when they announced it got anime. And the audiences should be grateful for it. You guys have no idea how much fun, happiness when I heard my favourite novel got an anime adaption. But 4vol in 25ep was a different story though.

Now back to the anime, in general, I want to ask you guys a question: What do you watch anime for? ( if you want to reply my post, please answer this question first)

I, myself, came to anime for fun, and enjoyments. What is the point of watching an anime, if it's not for fun, or enjoyments?
People have different tastes, point of view. I agree, people have many way to judge an anime, and express their opinion on it. They even have different scale of rating, standard. But, to the extend that they degrade a show by posting shitty comments, and talk trash about it, is unacceptable. By trash, I mean when they insult people who watch it, or call the show "sh*t", garbage. What for? Is it a way to prove themselves superior? or to attract attention? I call them haters, and I don't like them. People will soon learn that it is a waste of time involving with haters.

It's no fun watching an anime alone, or when you find some anime(it can be manga, novel, etc) interesting, you want to share, share your feelings with other people, by participating on forums, posting comments, talk, interacts with people who has the same hobbies as yours. I have friends of course, but most of them, don't like anime, they have other hobbies as well which I do not find joy just by mentioning about. So it all comes to MAL. A place when we can all be equal, respect each other's opinion, and freely voice out our thoughts.

Well, I want to write more, but it's enough, and I'm afraid it's kinda long to read. So, what I want to say is, if you don't like a show, simply just drop it. But if you're still watching it, it means that the show somehow still having good points which attracts you, then find something positive to discuss about, and use kind words when mentioning about negative aspects. I don't see any reason for a guy who is completely not interested in a show ( by this I mean he/she does not find any joys in every second of each episode of that anime), to stay and watch it until the end. For those who like to give 1,2 for an anime and call it sh*t, garbage or use dirty words for it, I know they have their own subjective reasons to do that, I'm not criticizing their tastes, nor their opinions for doing that, but tbh, I despise them.
