Alright, alright, OP is good. Judging by the visuals, Tokai Teio will get most of the screentime this season, alongside few others.

But going back to the root of the problem, Tokai Teio's leg injury is more serious than Trainer thought, so a devised plan for Team Spica to get her back in track through recovery and rehabilitation. Maybe...her treatment would've fared better if the other team members didn't interfere too much out of goodwill...

But being a highly-prized horsegirl, Teio has to push through her injuries, despite how much negativity the injury has caused her to relapse. Both Team Spica and Trainer working around the clock to get Teio back in shape before her next race, and Symboli Rudolf overseeing her progress, that's some looking-up to.

Being in the crowdstage as compared to being a competitive horse girl, without Teio, the Derby feels same-but-different, could see a new worthy adversary of trumping down her unbroken streak. The joys of competition seeing someone else win instead, gives her courage from the competitors in the Kikkashou who are used to having her for a good race.

Ganbatte, Tokai Teio! Hope to see you back on the horserace.

Teiou doesn't like needles but that made for some funny scenes.
Hopefully she will recover from her injury so that she can run a race again.
The other girls trying to help her out was nice and even the competition was trying to encourage her.

It was nice to watch.

Poor Teio and her leg, it was heartbreaking to see her crying like that but the end was heartwarming, she knows how to positive + she has the trainer who's very dedicated to her and ready/motivated to help

The OP is too catchy and funny, literal gem by itself.

Teio will definitely come back stronger than ever after she recovers, because she just get herself a mental boost, we can see from her eyes alone there that no one will beat her, especially mentally, for sure.

Special Week really loves carrots, she even sent a ton of them to America for Suzuka. 😂

Poor Teio, it is a very sad and depressing moment for her. Hopefully, with her positive mind, it will help her to pass this situation, and she will come back stronger than before for sure.

Special Week's addiction to carrots is something to be feared. The amount that she sent to Suzuka over in the USA is rather alarming. Another reason why I really like her personality. =3

Either way, Teio's ambitious attempts to be fit enough to run in the race was sadly not to be, which did leave her really upset. Rudolph, Grass Wonder and all of Spica were really saddened as well, but seeing all of the other horse girls in the race showcasing their passion of not wanting to let Teio beat them was very motivational.

The OP song and animation was catchy and enjoyable, as was the relaxing ED combo, too. Overall, this episode was really good. I do hope to see Teio back in action soon. ^_^

But great episode, plenty of funny moments and feels.

Even as Spe–chan fan I really like the Teio focus in this season...I think we will gonna see much more from her.

It feels so bad when you cannot enter a tournament which you would start as top seed...everyone who had to cancel any tournament knows this feeling...I can feel with her, it simply hurts so much. But Teio is a strong girl, not only in the real horse Racing history she came back, but she will be back again here as well!

That Dumbbell nan Kilo reference!

Special week is going to give Suzuka an OD on carrots, simmer down girl XD

Poor Teio, she put so much effort into rehabilitation to be able to enter the final race for the triple crown, but the doctor said a no-go :( That race was something else though, I loved how all the girls were all mentally racing Teio as if she were there on the race track. That was quite special!

I really liked Teio attitude in this episode, I was afraid that she will lie about the doctor's checkup result to the trainer and that she will totally wreak her leg. It takes a lot to do what you need to do in that case.

Stop sending Suzuka carrots Spe chan or she won't have any more space in her room XD.

So Teio's leg's broken but ofc she didn't give up on the Kikkashou and went through a lot of rehab but life is harsh and she didn't make it in time. When Teio cried during the race it almost made me cry damn.

This season is going lit af so far. Hyped for upcoming episodes.

BTW, IRL Teio entered and won the race, but injury got worse later and led to her (IRL his) retirement. So now it's hard to predict there the plot will go.

That was quite an emotional episode. It was very unfortunate that Teio's leg got injured. But it was very sweet to see the Trainer and all the members of Team Spica support her during the rehab.

Even though it was sad that she didn't get to participate. I'm kinda glad that Teio kept her promise with the trainer, if she were to force herself to participate in the Kikkashou there's no guarantee that she's going to perform the same way as before and she might even injure herself again.

It was very sad to see her cry while watching the others participate in the Kikkashou. But I know for sure that Teio will come back even stronger.

nice to see that Spe-chan's obsession with carrots and with Suzuka hasn't let up.

it'd really be something special if Teio managed to stay undefeated all through to the next year's kikkashou. I'm pretty sure that's not how the story goes though.

yes, but the plot are actually based on real life event (with some modification) of the real horse so its not that strange for a them to have leg injury

Dude the feels train ain't going to stop anytime soon, aye? :'(

in other news: yes, I think I can push trainer x Teio ship now. This is a very strong base to set an after-story. Since you know: irl these horses go to breeding houses. But these are girls and (part) humans and tbh it's odd seeing Symboli Rudolf still around the school now when they bothered showing Teio kid mode when Rudolf was already active.
but ofc it won't happen. this is an idol show, after all

With Suzuka they had to force the plot (since you know what truly happened with the irl Suzuka)
Same reason is why Suzuka is "in America" during this timeline.

Its a yes, then. The story repeated when its start out from Tokai's fracture problem again. It was a heartbreaking, after 5 months with all of the waiting and effort from everyone. Tokai still didn't make it in time, and doctor said no, obviously. Its needed at least one year to be healed completely, girl, its natural. However, when Tokai looked at all of her rival, that feeling, was the right choice to get, among all of the sadness. That's a good respond, girl. Its nice to see she realized that in the middle of a heartbreaking day like that. You need to still believe that there is always tomorrow to recover what was missed on that day....

Ah yes, I love Uma Musume. (they're all so cute)

Anyways... watched ep 1 and 2 today, cause I was finishing up last season's anime cause I am slow.

Looks like our MC changed, I wonder if they'll have more seasons after that where each season have a different MC to focus on, would be interesting. (like Idol anime that usually have 1~3 episodes of character focus, we'll be having seasons of character focus, lol)

Teio looks interesting, and I noticed that they went with Teio who has similar color-style as our previous MC, Spe-chan.

Teio is pretty much a Hyper-Spe-chan.

Too bad, she isn't so Hyper anymore with that injury, already some drama and we're only 2 episode in. (also, LOL @ the carrot on a stick at the end)

Hm, the fracture drama was very cliche.

And that was probably a stress fracture, it usually takes 6 to 8 weeks to heal. How the hell it would take 6 months? xD

Of course, this is just anime, but still... xD

Let's pick up where we left off, therefore, a very funny but also dramatic episode, the change of animation studio did not affect much on this juncture, on that of the chara instead known very small changes of style. The narrative proved to be balanced and not too unbalanced in favor of too funny or too serious situations, in certain contexts it was also able to be very emotional, especially in the final part; I did not believe that this anime could show off a narrative aspect of this genre. At first, when the doctor gives that treacherous injection to the character of Teio, I felt a thrill too, perhaps because I hate the sight of needles. I really like the opening and the ending, the OST is catchy.

Not gonna lie, the tears started flowing once they started shouting out Teio's name. She wasn't the only one imagining that she was racing there right beside them. For me, Tokai Teio is one of anime's top 5 most lovable characters. We're only 2 episodes into the second season and I'm already a sobbing mess.
