| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This series' finale turned out to be very underwhelming. Sigh, I didn't feel attached at all to any of the main characters in the end. At least Montmorency is back to himself though so yay? Entire episode focused on bringing an end to the struggle that has been building up, which imo itself is rushed. What a letdown. This was one of my least favorite shows this season. |

| Well well well, what happened to the English-French war that suddenly become secondplace against the finale? All for naught... The buildup was too rushed, too convoluted, too complex for its own good. It's as if this show has defied all logic to give the most hysterical ending ever. Atrocious, a false historical reference. And a lot of random thoughts that make this show a trainwreck. |

| Jeanne and Mont's teamwork against the god sure was impressive. Poor Philip though being pressed into such a position by the ghost of her father. Its good that Glasdale didn't miss his shot though. Funny how Batard become a chick magnet though. La hire's little side effect lol. Charlotte's attachment to Jeanne was really something though. After such an experience Astaroth wanting to leave as a result of seeing herself as useless is to expected i guess. The meeting with Catherine and Jeanne's response was quite surprising. It was cute seeing Mont force Charlotte to be the one that spoke to Richemont. For such a young girl Jeanne sure had quite the open mind. Decent episode that did well to end the series on a high note by wrapping up all the loose ends and showing the beginning of the french's counterattack against the english. |

| I didn't expected anything good from this last episode, and what I got was even worse. The God-mix-of-Dio-and-Gilgamesh was a complete joke, and they even had the nerves to skip some battle and the coronation of Charlotte as a passing comment, but focus on the loli jokes. | In the end it was a great history lesson through an anime where Jeanne D'arc prevented a lovecraftian alien invasion through the power of love, I just love japan. Jokes aside it was at least an enjoyable trash show which was simply fun to watch and an excellent brain rot material. Also the ass and boob pump helmet will stay in my memory of the beauties of anime |

| I really don't understand that low ranking but I know MAL has always totally contrariwise ranking than my one (lower are in my highest rank and highest ranking are in my drop list) so I don't care anymore. I just love that anime, action+fantasy+dark(little bit)+beautiful characters and interesting story I don't need anymore, also there are not annoying parody/comedy thats the most important point in good animes for me |

| if it hadnt been for the delay, this shit woulda been over last week....that had something in episode 1 and figured the story would get by the meh animation but damn does it get worse week after week. so bad like with imoimo, i had to skim through only to see that i really missed nothing |

| Hehehe, the title of this episode starts with "Kono Subarashi." Konosuba! Wait that's it? Well I gotta say it. The animation and especially the sound effects were HORRIBLE! Ehehehe, La Hire is turning into a pig... I'm certain that it's ok for a woman to French kiss a girl in France...right? Polygamy! Catherine is probably the most level-headed girl in the series anyway... So they attack Patay and Charlotte becomes Queen. Yay... Ulysses: Jeanne Darc to Renkin no Kishi...*sigh*...No direction whatsoever...They just scrapped parts of French History, put it in a blender, added a god and spaceships, turned it on, and ended up like this. The studio was just struggling to keep this up. The character designs are at least better than Endride though, but the art and some of the animation just really fell off in the later episodes. Gilles was an Alchemist who did jack shit the entire series. Jeanne was supposed to be that badass saint who gave hope to France, and all we get is this loli? WHO WROTE THIS SHIT!? I thought nothing was going to be worse than Lord of Vermilion this year. I was wrong. Final Verdict: Astaroth/10 |

| I thought Dies Irae was trash, this show makes the former look like God's gift to this wonderful world. The only decent thing about this series was the soundtrack. Everything else should be burned away...like Jeanne should have been at the end. |

| Well this was pretty bad including the animation quality. I looked at the ratings for the novel and it is quite high so I don't know if the creators screwed up the adaptation or what. But either way I feel like this is the work of some amateur writer who simply took historical figures and spiced it up with fairies, magic and some sci-fi shit. The story is just weak and dumb. It also annoys me that Joan of Arc is depicted as a lewd loli and a pedophile/serial killer like Gille De Rais aka Montmorency as the useless alchemist. I don't know if this show had a harem genre but it seem like the writer stopped caring after few episodes and so did I. |

| Well... It could have been so good. So much potential just went through the window to never come back. No reference at the end at all about the Maiden's fate? Meh. The only decent thing was the battle between the god. Astaroth was saving episodes and had some decent story and behaviour. Didn't even feel guilty about fast-forwarding half the time. |

Also who cares if it's not historically accurate, it's not an historical anime, there are fairies and alchemy actually does shit...it's called fantasy ffs lol To cite a comment in another topic: I am amazed to see that after 12 episodes with magic stones, gods, demons, aliens, etc. there are still people who think that these series will follow real history or put this as a negative point I'm literally laughing my ass off at the top review lmao "Remember that time when a good anime and a decent anime almost had a bastard baby, but decided to have an abortion when it was clearly too late? Somehow the embryo survived and got raised by another very good anime. Then, at the age of 9, it discovered that its upbringer and role model is not the only thing that exists in the world, and learned about bad adaptation anime, debatable quality anime and overrated anime. That baby is Ulysses." When you want to utterly insult something but you end praising it lmao. That said, the ending wraps up the story nicely. England army retires for now, then France makes some new conquest and crowned the new queen. (Nobody said the war was over, but keep complaining, heh.) Philippite finally faced her own weakness and stopped following the ghost of her father, nice scene where he says "take the helmet, you can't escape your fate" and she goes "no" and leaves lol, like, if I never go to that place, the helmet can stay forever intact lol Richemont and Charlotte made up with each other, and that is good. Astaroth will stay to look over humans, neat. And Jeanne wants a child, don't let her down Montmorency! Lol. 7/10 for me. This is why I don't trust MAL scores lmao. |
