| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Ah yes, more background storytelling this episode especially with the focus on Montmorency. Pretty much a development episode in the aftermath of Jeanne's demise. No doubt Montmorency wants revenge too. I smell a big fight coming up so that means a lot more deaths coming, most likely. |

| Interesting episode that did well in showing Mont's past and his relationship with his grandfather. Its good that Jeanne didn't die but a coma's not much better. The condition for borrowing soldiers sure was surprising. Catherine's statement certainly was a bold one but showed just how much she loved Mont. The insight into how Mont and Catherine met was cute as was the way he took on the role of her brother. It was amusing seeing the things the two did when they were little. La Hire's reinforcements that Charlotte sent was a nice surprise. The discussion between the grandfather and Nicolas Flamel was intriguing. Catherine really was an understanding girl sacrificing her happiness for him. One of the best episodes of this season so far. |

| Well we got a fire, just not the one with Jeanne burning in it. Marry the cousin? Well...it's a cousin! It shouldn't hurt, should it? Cousin marriage is a crime though? So why have the cousins marry each other? Wouldn't France look down on them? GIVE HER THE BABY! GIVE IT TO HER! Eww. Gilles' grandfather is a cuck... And all Catherine had to do was tell a lie...and get cucked in the process...Sad. I wanted more Catherine... Let's not forget the important lesson this episode. This one is for the ladies! |

I just wait until it finish and put it on complete list So anime that portrays 14th century era should follow 21th century westren laws because it airs in 21th century so it won't hurt the feeling of some of the people who watch the anime ?! |

There wasn't rare that they already at age of 10< to whom married was, and in age of 15 they already mothers/fathers was. And to cousin/incest marriage: if you me believe or not, it was the norm at that time. Especially in the noble cast/class was this normal that the princesses to their actual cousins or uncles (even in 1st, 2nd or 3rd grade and so further) given was to marriage - mostly out of political/tactical reason of course. |

I know all of this I am just having a hard time swallowing this because of story wise and character development wise this anime has disappointed me it starts with Mont as a protective brother then he starts to use her as an asset to fulfill his promise while there are many other option improve his influence for some reason all the girls are like take me Mont and there is all he wanted was to unlock the potential of the stone when Astroath said there is more to be gained from no he doesn't want to do that if you don't want the girl reject her like every other one you did take the power but nope After all of this and this him saying hmm love her triggered me hoping all of this will be washed away by the fight on the next episode It's a half assed harem but doesn't want to admit that so pushed in some battle some magic and politics and half the episodes are done it's going Romance route for my love I really hope I am wrong about this and I am writing all of this for nothing |

I am still confused about how are they going to add 2 more volumes within five more episodes but they've already showed that won't be impossible for them which means they'll cut off many of the details from those two volumes. Anyways, since I couldn't find any of the LN vol but I've managed to find these. Check them out. |

After watching this episode what he did to Catherine I've changed my mind as well. He doesn't really deserves any of the girls. But I am just worried about Richemont. Just praying so they keeps her away from those situations and let her play her original role as knight. I'll be so happy if she's the one who gets to kill that Duke. |
