A few simple words...
Chuunibyou Syndrome.
Both of the main male leads have ex-chuunibyou syndrome and then a girl appears who finds out their secret and so they stay together.
Although in Chu2byou Koi Shitai the girl has chuunibyou while in Oreshura she doesn't.
((I actually haven't finished Chu2byou yet so uhh... I'll update this when I finish both.))
Anime in which the main male characters desperately want to keep their highly chuunibyou behaviors in the past a secret, so much so that they panic whenever their old acquaintances try to bring up the protagonists' past syndromes. Both series are comedy-based romance series in which the male lead is in a club with many girls.
Each of these stories revolve around the characters suffering from their past "8th grader syndrome" only to be bribed or threatened into helping the female protagonist, Each have that light hearted comedy aspect as well as the main character fighting his feelings for the Main female.
If you've watched and liked Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai then Oreshura should already be on your list seeing as they're both very similar anime that give off the same feelings as you watch with a good flow of enjoyable and serious moments to keep you following along.
Both series have very similar plots, characters, and humor. If you like one you will probably like the other. Chu2 is not a harem but but still feels similar and the MC has mostly girls for friends. While Ore no Kanojo is definitely harem but shares many recurring themes with Chu2.
We use to play things when we were little by having these strange delusional syndromes that we remembered and had fun playing with it... In the series the main male character was use to be a delusional teen, but then has to erased it all as it was too embarrassing. It all went smoothly, until a person messed up his life, and having those fantasies come back, forcing him to go along of what they are doing.
Oreshura is somewhat a harem comedy, while Chuunibyou focus on romance, and somewhat fantasy-action scenes.
-Both shows involves characters who got Eighth-Grade Syndrome
-Both main characters wants to put that away from themselves but keeps coming back
-Both the characters has a club together
Both MC's past is filled with cringey chuunibyou tales. They attempt to start their life anew, void of their embarrassing past. The truth is however discovered by the heroines and forced upon them once again, for better or worse. The primary difference is that OreShura has a harem while Chuunibyou! does not.
Both of these anime are rom-coms. The only big difference is that Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru is a harem and Chuunibyo is not. Both of the male protagonist suffer from a past involved with being a Chunibyo, and both are now trying to leave that past behind, but can't because of the women in their lives.
An anime with a character who also suffered something similar to the eighth grade syndrome which there will be a girl who would take advantage of that shameful past to force him to be her boyfriend.
-Both have ex-chuunibyou characters
-Both are romantic comedies
-The plots are pretty similar (MC tries to forget embarrassing past etc etc)
-Both anime include a small group of characters in school who form a club together
-["Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai"] isn't a harem, whereas ["Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru"] is.
There aren't many things to write about in terms of similarities, but I can say that if you watched one, you will be reminded of it when watching the other.
So, that said, I think that if you liked one, you will like the other.
Both mc gets around mg due to their old imagination fantasy, both react funny,, really like u would feel when found out about your embarrassing past. Both do not fall for the girl at start and starts to develop love later on. Both mc is somehow controlled by mg.
In both anime, the main character had "chuunibyou" in the past, which ends up bring up troubles when he goes to high school, in Chuunibyou having another classmate relive his chuunibyou times, and in Oreshura it was used to blackmail him. And in general, many scenes that happened in Chuunibyou also has similar scenes happening in Oreshua (but in a shuffled order).
Note that Chuunibyou is more focused on the chuunibyou itself, while Oreshura is much more romance-oriented, thus making it a harem as well.
A main male protagonist gets caught up in multitude of romance angles. Both Nisekoi and Oreshura display relationship angles between various characters. The MC also pretends to date a popular girl at school (although for different circumstances). Throughout both series, there is implication that the main girl (Chitoge from Nisekoi, Masuzu from Oreshura) might see more to their "boyfriend" than meets the eye.
Expect comedy, drama, and misunderstandings. The main male protagonist also attracts attention of other female characters that complicates his life.
In both shows, the main male and female characters are in a "false" relationship, where they pretend to be lovers. Also, other female characters are also interested in the male lead, to a point that many female compete for the affection of the one dense male lead. Misunderstandings, drama, and comedy are sure to follow.
OreShura and Nisekoi are similar for me because first, in OreShura, Eita, the male protagonist, has two main love interests, and have two (or more) girls included in the harem. In Nisekoi, it's like that too. Eita even has a fake girlfriend, like Raku in Nisekoi. But the reasons are very different from each other. In OreShura, the story is more focused in the quarrels between the "childhood friend" and "fake girlfriend," as the title suggests. While in Nisekoi, it's more about the character developments and how they interact with the main character and develop feelings for him. Both have pretty art that is pleasing to the eyes. But Nisekoi has better art and a more interesting storyline. Both are funny, but OreShura definitely made me laugh more. If you like romantic comedies with very interesting characters, try Oreshura or Nisekoi. read more
If you liked the arranged relationship in Oreshura then you'll love Nisekoi! The story's are somewhat similar, but the story line in Nisekoi is more in depth and really pulls you in more. Both are harems in which the main character has to pick between some very different in personality girls. Words can not explain how great Nisekoi is though! If you like Oreshura then you'll love this recommendation!
Similarities:
-Both had their male and female protagonists put up the "fake" couple act, but romance was still manifested...
- Both had equal number of girls for the harem of the male protagonist
-Three girls in the harem were childhood friends and one was not
-Both possessed the same genre (Romantic Comedy, School Life and Harem)
Minor Differences:
Nisekoi
- feud between two clans was present which cause the protagonists to frame up as a couple
-the female protagonist is a tsundere
- the female protagonist is mostly friends with the harem
Oreshura
- the protagonists put up the fake couple act in order to prevent stalkers as both are "anti-love"
- the female protagonist has split personalities for she has an identity crisis
- the female protagonist sees the harem as her real rivals

Let me just outline this out for you-
--> A harem light-hearted comedy based around the MC and 4 girls.
--> Set in School
--> A fake relationship with the beautiful foreigner due to "personal" reasons
--> The Foreigner falls for him by the end of the series
--> The MC has simple aspirations just to work hard and have a good life, is unnecessarily burdened and forced to go along with the relationship because reasons.
--> Quite relaxing, no deep plots or jump-scares
--> The character personalities match a lot. like the Tsundere, the manipulative girl, the cute girl etc. Pretty much the same type of characters really. (Tropes)
If you like Nisekoi, you'll appreciate OreShura, pretty much the same concept, burdening a hard working guy with girls and watching their antics.

Both protagonists are forced into a fake relationship with another female they don't enjoy being with. Other females are also interested in the protagonists, but keep their distances thinking its an actual relationship. Overall, they give the same kind of feel and I would definitely recommend both series to anyone interested in watching a romance anime.
Both of these revolve around a guy in a fake relationship surrounded by girls who want to date him, however in Nisekoi, the lead male character is infinitely more dense making this whole story infuriating.
School
Main characters get together early, and female character is a beauty.
The relationships are both "forced"
But they slowly start having feelings for each other as the anime progresses.
Harem, but not as big as the one in Oreshura, it's actually a love triangle.
- Both are comedy, romance, school, harem.
- In both the male and female protagonist pretend to be dating, in Nisekoi to avoid a war between the organizations of their families (Shuei-Gumi x Beehive), already in Oreshura he is forced by the own girl (Masuzu) to prevent that other boys stay on top of her.
- In the course of the anime is created a harem with other girls who were already or fell in love with the protagonist. But the relationship that was false is becoming real, feelings are developing.
Both are harem romantic comedies with a "fake" relationship and promises with childhood friends. Chances are that if you liked one, you'll most definitely like the other.
Both shows display a fake relationship at the begin but builds up a genuine relationship as the show progresses. And both shows have to deal with secrets from the past.
Both of these anime contain similar styles of commentary and comedy. They both center around the male narrative of a guy who's had a fantasical past he's tried to put behind him. The main character often has long monologues with himself with a metaphorical cynicism of the social order and events at school. Other than that both main characters also are a bit socially inadept and seek (or forced to seek in Hachiman's case) the help of a very intelligent girl also dealing with her own problems. Both anime take place in a high school club focused on self-improvement.
Both feature a cynical guy jaded about love who is forced to join a school club. Both play with the standard high school love comedy tropes and feature witty dialogue and a sassy female lead.
In essence, both series takes place at a school life like setting. However, the main male protagonist gets caught up with a female protagonist who seems to have a strong independent personality.
The main male protagonist from both series are also considered anti social and rejects the idea of love. Similarly, the main female protagonist comes off as a cold beauty.
Both series also involves a club at school. This club consists of the two main characters as members although with different objectives.
The series also makes usages of comedy with humor through dialogues and interactions.
In both stories, "anti-social" protagonists are forced to join a club with one guy and a couple of girls.
Also, Yukino in oregairu strongly resembles natsukawa in oreshura in that they are both beautiful, sharp-tongued tsundere.
Both are comedy, romance, school;
Both have characters with fanciful thoughts;
Both main characters (Yukino and Masuzu) are objective, they go straight to the point;
The characters form clubs to help others;
Both have characters with problems to relate to people.
They are almost exactly the same.
Anti-social guy who had a past case of Chu-2 Byo.
Female lead have the same personality, and characteristics.
school setting,harem.
Male lead who does not seem to care much for relationships or love.
Chiwa and Yui look similar, and are both outgoing. Yui reminds me heavily of Chiwa(mostly due to looks)
Both comedy and romance.
A club is formed(or existed, in the case of Oregairu) with the intent helping others(Maidens club to be popular, Volunteer club to help others in general)
First of all both are light novels based anime which are fairly popular in Japan. Protagonists of both anime are both loners and the main heroines of both are ice cold beauties with almost similar nature. They both seems to be light heart comedy but are very dark at the core. They are both based on High School life.
Similarities:
Both involves pesky girl who transferred to the guy's school.
Both involves the same pesky girl who turns guy's life upside down.
Both have the same school, romance, comedy and harem genre.
Dissimilarities:
The pesky girl in one anime is highly talented, but an airhead while the girl in the other anime is domineering and a manipulative.
The harem genre in one anime is a 2 way competition........of sorts (co'z it doesn't look like there is) between the airhead girl and the guy's classmate. While in the other anime's harem genre has a 4 way competition.
The school uniform for boys in one anime is not good, while the boy's school uniform in the other anime is cool.
The guy in one anime is a study bug, while the guy in the other anime is game developer wanna be.
One anime is 13 episode long while the other one is 24 episodes long.

The character personalities are very similar.
Eita is more or less like like Sorata in terms of how they react to things; Masuzu isn't really like Mashiro but she takes the place of the female transfer student; Chiwa is like Misaki because both of them are full of energy but still have their serious moments; and I haven't read the manga but I believe Himeka is to be like Nanami, one sided love and what not.
The artwork is somewhat the similar as well. Setting mainly at a school.
However, although OreShura has only released 4 episodes, I think Sakurasou is more emotional.
Both of these animes are similar on a number of points
-1st they are both animes about awkward love or people who are hopeless when it comes to understanding love
-2nd the art style of both and the sounds are fairly similiar
-3rd and last is the fact that the characters are somewhat similiar like the best friend and the sempai due to the fact that they are both energetic an free spirited
Both Anime are very similar in style, though Sakurasou No Pet Na Kanojo definitely is better executed.
In both shows, there is some sort of problem with all the protagonists, and also, the guy in the middle (Sorata & Ei-kun), both experience changes to their lives throughout the shows.
Also, both anime feature girls that are rather active than quiet, both shows guarantee active-living students at their peaks.
Both are mainly harem, Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo has a better story in my opinion, but both are similar, OreShura is more going to harem and comedy while Sakurasou develops more the characters and has more serious scenes.
Haganai and oreshura incorporate light-hearted humor in the daily interactions of the male lead with the main female characters.
Due to joining a certain club, the male lead slowly discovers that he is placed in a situation where several girls are fighting to determine who will be his love interest. Drama ensures.
The similarities between Haganai and Oreshura start from their light novel origins. Both anime's incorporate lighthearted humor along with a tendency to highlight social awkwardness, mob mentality and general social commentary.
If you intend to dive into the Winter 2013 season, then definitely give Haganai a watch, simply for the fact that Haganai NEXT is also airing during the same time.
Both have a similar feeling. Both of these anime focus on a club and gain additional members as it progresses (all of them weird to an extent). The comedy in both anime are similar as well, except Boku wa Tomodachi is more direct and evil while Ore no Kanojo is indirect hides the puns in between speech :)
Similarities:
-Both become better friends through a club
-Multiple girls liking one guy
-Guy doesn't have love on his mind (or doesn't make it clear)
-Lots of things that take place are club activities
-Both are based around a school
-Both are comedies
Non-similar features:
-All the members of the club share feelings for the male
-The club is based around making friends rather than becoming "better maidens"
-The male doesn't seem to care about his education
Overall they're pretty similar so I would recommend watching it.
When I watched the first episode of Oresuki, I had the feeling it was like Oreshura. The girls have lots of similarities to each other. There is a boy MC who's dream is to have a love story. The art style is also very similar and in a more "cute" way.
Charcters that at the start are not loved by the female cast(except for one) and everyone start to slowly warm up for the MC, eventually falling in love with them.
Same premise with its complex. On the first glance, the main character hated the main heroine until they fell in love and became a couple at the end. It also has the same related reference such as harem and comedy either.
They both have the main character basically being forced to be with another girl, while trying to work out their own love life. While in the process getting closer with each other.
-Similar Harem Anime
-The main character has the same voice actor.
-Every girl has some sort of interest with the main character. She will do anything for him.
-We have a hot/popular, a childhood friend and many more to come XD
Both anime involve a harem of girls forming around a guy who doesn't really want a harem; both anime focus on comedy with some light drama throughout. Characters in both anime mostly fall into expected archetypes:
-Unnoticed childhood friend
-Verbally abusive rich tsundere
-ect
Also, both anime do a good job of making it unclear who the protagonist will ultimately end up with (a rare thing in harem anime)
-Both harem animes where there is intense rivalry within the cast to get the MC so the humor is very similar.
-Both MCs voiced by Ryota Osaka.
-Both MCs aren't that interested in having a girlfriend or a harem. Oreshura MC is more of a self proclaimed anti love whereas OniAi MC just doesn't like any of them romantically and pushes away any advances towards him.
Similarities:
Both involve guys who want to avoid romance.
Both involve girls coming into guys' lives.
Both have the same school, comedy, harem, and romance genres.
Dissimilarities:
Guy in one anime is gynophobic, while guy in the other anime he is simply too busy for romance.
Guy in one anime is a very good student while guy in the other anime he is just an average student.
The guy in one anime is centered around one girl, while the other guy in the other anime has all his harem members competing for his affection.
Both seems like sadistic nature though they not ended up together in Mayo Chiki but Kanade reminds me of Masuzu in someways and the protagonist is both tortured mentally to obey
Similarities:
- both Comedy, School & Romance genre'd anime
- both main male characters dislikes girls because of their personal reasons
- story is almost similar but, oreshura has a much serious vibe than mayo chiki
- both anime has few funny parts
- makes you want to watch more
Both anime has a male and female character with chuunibyou or used to have chuunibyou. In Oreshura, the male is embarrassed of it whereas in Inou-Battle, the male is proud of it and vice-versa for the female characters.
The romance is really similar in how the main girls has feelings for the male protagonist. Additionally, Oreshura is a harem and contains a bit of ecchi whereas Inou-Battle doesn't. Instead, Inou-Battle has supernatural aspects.
Anyways, the series both give me very similar impressions!
Both have a MC male who is Chuunibyou and has a harem (or harem situation)
"Inou- battle" however has real super powers and action in it, where as "Ore no Kanojo" foucuses more on the harem and "romance" in it.
Both contain a group of likable female falling in love with the mc. This is not done in a typical familiar fashion that harem shows used before. Instead, they use the stereotypical story with out of the box methods resulting in hilariously good time. If you love one of them, the other is a must watch
These 2 shows are not similar in regards of plot or characters. The main themes are severely different.
But Oreshura has a lot of jokes that are built on references from JoJo. The comedy is hilarious if you've already seen JoJo, and if you haven't, you'll miss out on a lot of them.
So if you've watched JoJo, give Oreshura a try. And if you're looking to give Oreshura a shot, consider watching JoJo first. As stated in the anime; "at least watch part 4".
Oreshura has JOJO references in it, so its a great way to link what the characters are talking about so people can understand what JOJO is about.
an its an easy way for people that Finished all 4 Parts + OVAs to say "is that a JOJO Reference??? an make a meme out of it lo. an the shows alright i guess.
Only watch Oreshura if you watched/read JoJo, otherwise you probably won't enjoy it as much. Though with that said, its still better than most generic rom-coms on its own.
Of course these two are similar because they are both your standard, vanilla harem show, but what what makes them noticeably connected is the main male leads mentality. Both are very studious and value education more than your typical youthful fantasies, especially the idea of falling in love. They share this sentiment largely because they want to help their family financially. The art styles are both surprisingly unique but similar to each other. Boasting bright pastel colors and giving the female characters bold hair colors that really make them stand out.
-Not only are they both a harem, but the main characters are both introverts (or at least in some way anti social).
-The girls in the anime takes time to develop feelings for the MC.
-Kawaii waifus
-Both MC's arent dumb, and are actually quite intelligent and get high grades
-Both MC's have a past that is a lot different to their present self
They are really good animes that i think anyone who likes romance could watch. This is not your typical harem, and they both have average character development. Not bad for a harem at all.
Both have main female characters that are mean yet admirable.
Similar plot provisions.
Slice of life | school drama
Both have well made characters and humor.
Well, both anime involve a Main Character who gets bullied/humiliated by the other Main Character. Also, both MCs have a notebook which is very precious to them. OreShura is more comedic & lighthearted (where our main protagonist didn't really care about getting humiliated), while Koe no Katachi is more serious & darker.
If you like the idea of having one particular character get involved with numerous women and trying to figure out why, then this one is perfect for you. Just know that the animation might be slightly different from the former, but it should still be a great expereince for you.
Similar relationship between the two main characters. The girl (Masuzu/Takagi) is invincible, while the boy (Eita/Nishikata) keep getting teased/embarrassed.
The couple is formed at the first episode
>main character is intelligent
>Both have characters with secrets that they are trying to hide
> this is harem anime(oreshura),horimiya is more on couple.
Both are concerned with a club that is designed to help other students. Quite different in tone and comedy aspect. Well SKET dance is much more retro, Oregaru is much more modern in its sensibilities. Much more romance and shipping. Also much more realistic.
These two series are extremely similar to each other, both anime having a main character who has their own harem but both of them have a disability to restrict the main characters to do what they want. This aspect included in both of the anime can lead to very cringy, heart-breaking, or even side-splitting laughter.
They has the same Harem thing. But they do have different plots and Date A Live focuses on each character more while Oreshura focuses mostly on only one.
Both are harem club anime that can be entertaining and funny.
Seitokai no Ichizon is much more potent and memorable because of the awesome male lead and the biting parodies.
same gender of otoko taking care of an onanoko.,.,also same drama, comedy romance thing.,., but in ore no kanojo there is more romance and some harem.,.,
Both series involves a main male protagonist who gets involved with a strange girl in the very first episode. They form a relationship and endures many events together.
Both series' main male protagonist also has other love interests that occasionally causes mayhem for the duo.
Both series makes various jokes with the main female protagonist being the center of it all that often results in embarrassing moments for the main male protagonist.
Both series takes place at a typical high school setting where there is drama, comedy, and romance.
chuunibyou protagonist and some main character,
the protagonist also try to forget his embarassing past but end up use that as his weapon sometimes
romance in chuunibyou,
although the story is more focused on fake lover like nisekoi
Similarities
-Both anime have leading male protagonists that prefer a certain activity over love
-Both anime have leading female protagonists that manage to change the main males life style around by using their activities to benefit themselves
-Comedic moments throughout the show though Kami's humor is more over the top than Ore's humor
Differences
-Keima [Kami Main] prefers bishojo games over love / Eita [Ore Main] prefers studying over love
-Elsie [Kami Main] uses Keima's skills at beating bishojos games [GOOGLE IT] in order to conquer the hearts of real girls in order to regain the loose souls / Masuzu [Ore Main] uses Eita's "Study Over Love" personality in order live her life free of confessions and love
-Kami's story is broke down into arcs with each arc focusing on a different girl / Ore's story is the typical 13 episodes that all relate to each other

Same clueless guy surrounded by plenty beautiful girls
Same comedy wrapped around their friendship and the girls open fight for the main guy
Similar love story.
Difference is IS is based around mecha fighting.
- Both of them start with a pessimistic guy that eventually accepts his new life
- Harem shows with a significant amount of girls
- Both of them have a bishonen
- Both have childhood friends
The art is close to being similar to the art of Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata, and has harem in it which in turn they both have. The only difference of this anime from OreShura is that the MC here is a game-maker while in OreShura, he's an anti-love kinda guys.
In both anime, the main character is forced into a relationship with another character. Both of these anime contain a little bit of drama, but overall they are lighthearted romantic-comedies.
both are definitely worth watching!
both are Romantic Comedy.
both are my two favorites harem anime.
all the girls in these two anime are like a box of chocolate you'll never know what you're gonna get. If only i have to choose i"ll choose all of them
The main character is not at all interested in engaging in a romantic kind of relationship, but later on falls in love with a character of the opposite sex.
