I scored it fine cus the tiring end, ok family stuff, oz/internet topic, all good since I expected something different and calmly in this movie, loved how the family developed themselves just like a normal day in a big family in fact the movie is totally worth the time at the first 1 hour but then it fell off in the classic cliché, yeah I may sound like I hater(I´m a hater of the same)Anyway if the movie didn't fall off in such cliche of until everyone appear I cannot win this I would score it up to 8 but unluckily it didn´t happen, oh well...next.

This film is fantastic and deserves this award. Finger crossed that the director makes more anime films.

Loved it! I just saw this movie at MIT and I got to talk with Hosoda, Mamoru and he drew this cute pic on my blank card.

If you hated this film, you didn't watch this movie with your family.

Because obviously, it was oriented for more wide variety of people. Although it was a topic that has been done millions of the time, still managed to be somewhat entertaining and touching.

I took up Hanafuda because of this movie. Seriously.

personally think its deserves it for the trippy animation in "OZ" and the general story

Definitely deserved it.
Although I can see why many people were disappointed at the movie and storyline.. I was too when I discovered it used a lot of CGI(?) scenes and portrayed characers differently. (Compared to Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo)

But, just because they share staff people like to compare the two. Please don't.
If they did, there would be no reason to work on another project.
(Just like the ongoing references to Baccano in the Durarara thread. Please, for the love of god.. we know.)

Anyhow, I thought this was actually quite refreshing, and seeing how technology has been dominating our lives for so long, it was perfect. Remember Second Life, that used to be a small hit a couple of years ago? I could completely imagine taking part in such a grand community like OZ that's accessible via desktops, laptops and phones. And all those opportunities it offered? I would love to see such a thing being realised on the net in the future.

Oh, and for the R2 users amongst us, the movie has been licensed by Manga Entertainment, and will be released September 2010!~

Another mediocre work that gets more attention than it really deserves. Well, considering it as animation (not anime), western spectators whose anime experiences are limited to Ghibli works could be in awe.

I've had this on the list for a while now, and anticipate it being very good (same director who did Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo). However, I'm still waiting on a good sub...
