According to their official site, FUNimation has acquired the home video, broadcast, and digital rights to Gainax's Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. The TV anime series aired from October to December of last year. FUNimation plans on releasing the 13 episode series on DVD in 2012.
"Tonight, I sit in the eye of the storm. As fire boils around me, I press forward, winds and lightning lashing my wings. I am no match for what I face. Yet I will not back down, and though fear may place it's stranglehold on my heart, courage will see me through. With tears in my eyes, I hit full throttle. My engines become an inferno, and my weapons light up, awaiting my command.
If I die tonight, I will do so fighting for everything I believe in."

Oh man. Those were the cartoons of my time. :)
I'll give Panty and Stocking a watch. The fan hype is convincing me.

Yeah, Thankfully we don't have to worry too much about censorship now a days, especially in straight-to-DVD/BD releases.
If this boosts its popularity, resulting in a second season, then great!
I still think about censorship spoiling stuff; people like me (20+) have often seen/heared some bad cove-up and for that reason, I avoided watchng dubs, yet it seems that in recent years, the West have eased up on it.
Too bad Funimation reuses so many of the same voice actors, though. ;/ I can already kind of predict who will play who...Vic Mignogna as Brief? Laura Bailey as Stocking? Pleaseee prove me wrong, Funi! ;A;
