A.D. Vision will split its assets into four newly created companies. Each company will take over a certain area of A.D. Vision. Film library assets and other intellectual properties were sold to AEsir Holdings, account servicing and distribution operations were sold to SXION 23 (also called Section 23), Anime Network to Valkyrie Media Partners; and Amusement Park Media (ADV’s production unit) to Seraphim Studios. All the new companies link back to the same person Griffin D. Vance IV, A.D. Vision's former Senior Vice-President of Business and Legal Affairs.

A. D. Vision (parent company of ADV Films) is officially closing their doors and working on transferring their assets over to other companies such as SXION 23, Valkyrie Media Partners, and Seraphim Studio.

Considering that ADV has pretty much done nothing for the past couple of years, I can't say I really care what happens to them either way.

Although, their people were kind of annoying and egotistical back when they were doing really well, so I guess I could say I don't care still.

Meh, as long as it doesn't mean the titles I'd be interested in buying will be taken off the shelves completely forever and they will still be released under another label, I could care less.

lol its merely the next installment of the various companies being bought out sold out split and butchered. only those who actually own a part of that company might pay heed.

Meh, just a split. The headline sounded somewhat more dire.

I just realized this. I love ADV. It's one of my favs besides Funimation. This is a SAD moment in anime history. =(

Thank you ADV for entertaining me.

Indeed, seems to have be discussed some already. I'll add that link to the news. What wasn't stated was about the companies having what looks like the same owner. So in the world of buisness, there will probably be a reason for that.
