Director Kinji Yoshimoto Dies at 55

The official website of the Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou (Arifureta: From Commonplace to World's Strongest) television anime announced on Wednesday that director Kinji Yoshimoto died on November 5. He was 55.

Yoshimoto was a prolific director who helmed series such as Machine-Doll wa Kizutsukanai (Unbreakable Machine-Doll), Yuusha ni Narenakatta Ore wa Shibushibu Shuushoku wo Ketsui Shimashita. (Yusibu: I Couldn't Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job.), Genshiken 2, and multiple installments in the Queen's Blade franchise. He most recently directed the first season of Arifureta Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou in Summer 2019.

Yoshimoto also co-created Plastic Little with Satoshi Urushihara and directed the original video anime adaptation in 1994.

Directed Queen's Blade and Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai. He did a lot for the culture and knew what good ecchi needed.
