The official website of studio Khara has reported that animator Shouichi Masuo died on Monday due to chronic illness despite having been under medical treatments. He was 57.

Masuo began his career in the anime industry as a key animator for Sengoku Majin Goushougun (Macron 1). He was well acquainted with Hideaki Anno, Katsuhiko Nishijima, and Kouji Itou, and established studio Graviton. Masuo was also a key staff member of the 1984 anime film Macross: Do You Remember Love?, Fushigi no Umi no Nadia, Musekinin Kanchou Tylor, and the Evangelion series.

@VyseLegendaire @mozgow @Retro_Chocolate Based on the Sadamoto/forgot his name from a few years ago, they're probably in need of money to fund it and are still trying to make things in order to gather the money. Like "Tri-buster" and those recently announced Matsumoto-based movies.

Hopefully Top! 3 won't suck, seeing how much Gainax has gone downhill

I'm aware. Gainax today is like the sickly, AIDS-stricken leper step sister of the strident Khara. Pleas to emotion are all they have left for funding.

Honneamise 2 is just like Half Life 3 - we heard about it for years (and in Honneamise case for decades), yet there is no sight of them on the horizon.

I would say that chances for Honneamise 2 are even lower now...

But Uru in Blue (aka Honneamise 2) was given a 2018 release date. With it being that close, the film is probably almost done already, or at least pretty far in production. This isn't valve who isn't actually working on Half Life 3 and has given no confirmation about is whatsoever, we HAVE information on this. It might get delayed a bit, but I doubt it will be cancelled

I was certain that nothing new was announced after 2014, but now I read that as of June the movie is in production. How could I miss this?
