'Isekai Quartet' Gets Second Season

A second season was revealed for Isekai Quartet during the current season's 12th and final episode.

The crossover anime features chibi versions of the main characters from Overlord, Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!, Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu, and Youjo Senki.

The first season, directed by Minoru Ashina (Re:Petit kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu) and produced by Studio PuYUKAI, was divided into twelve 12-minute episodes and began airing on April 10. Crunchyroll simulcast the series and Funimation provided an English dub.

During the Fan Kanshasai Event, it was announced that 2nd season will add Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari main 3 casts.

My main problem is that all other isekai shows don’t fit with the current 4, and most of them are mediocre pandering or are overrated mainstream trash.

The only isekai show that would work in Isekai Quartet is “That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime”. Unfortunately, I’m betting the creators will use something like NGNL or Smartphone (UGH) instead.
Would be better to just leave it as-is.

I am both surprised and not surprised. On the one hand, I did not think that this show would receive so much attention, but on the other hand, its idea and performance are really good.

Kinda curious to see who the new transfer students might be. Might be characters from anime like "Rising of the Shield Hero", "No Game No Life", "The time I got Reincarnated as a Slime" and so on. Sadly though chances are it won't include ones from the next season since they'll be just released (Like Arifureta).

Though also hoping they don't bring in characters from something like SAO...and if you're going to ask why, its because I say their case is not being sent to another world, but merely having their minds trapped in a digital world. So I don't think that there would be a good explanation as to why they got teleported into Isekai Quartet.

Surprisingly fun show. I remember chibi version of Overlord that aired years ago and this felt pretty similar to it.

They'll probably add more popular franchises to the next season. Looking forward!

Basing on the featured article above, haven't watched Log Horizon but I think it and Shield Gaybro will be the possible candidates for filling the remaining seats, then there's Kenja no Mago and the more older one Mondaiji-tachi, or they'll just add more characters from their respective shows. And they better include Betelgeuse next season.

Great to see this getting a 2nd Season!

Isekai Quartet consists of my favourite Isekai shows (3 in my top 5, that is) so I couldn’t ask for more from this bustling isekai genre. Here’s to hoping we get a Isekai Quintuplet next season!

Their class still has some empty seats, and the transfer students could be characters from other isekai anime. I could only hope. They could probably upgrade the concept from "Isekai Quartet" into "Isekai Octet" or something. x) Nah!

Still, it's pretty nice that the greatest isekai crossover anime is getting a sequel! Besides, all of the characters are much happier in this crossover world. :p

You can't, because it needs to be approved by Micro Magazine which is the LN publisher and Kodansha, which is the publisher of the manga adaptation.
