'Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon' Receives Second Season
The comedy fantasy manga began its serialization in Monthly Action's inaugural issue in May 2013. Futabasha published the seventh volume in April 2018. The magazine also serializes three spin-offs centering on different supporting characters, the latest of which, Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon: Lucoa wa Boku no xx desu, launched on January 25. The manga has a cumulative 1.3 million copies of its compiled volumes in circulation.
The 13-episode anime series produced by Kyoto Animation aired in Winter 2017. The seventh and final Blu-ray and DVD disc included an unaired episode in September 2017. Crunchyroll simulcast the anime with subtitles while Funimation streamed an English dub. Funimation also released the anime in North America on a Blu-ray and DVD volume last April.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English in December 2015 and shipped the seventh volume this past November. The company is also publishing the Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon: Kanna no Nichijou and Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon: Elma no OL Nikki spin-off series.

I saw the news on twitter and I can't express how happy I am. This series was one of my favorites in 2017 and is so dear to me so I'm happy to see it return.

Tbh she was very bland. Her entire gimmick relied on arousing the kid and that was it.
Never said or did anything useful.

did the anime not explain this?
she is in observer/Spectation faction. and one of most powerful figure in the faction, that even kimun kamuy and tohru father know not to mess about. she used to be god of the wind and teaching, but abandon it. she is way stronger than tohru. she can do something, but she chose not to. and this will be important key of her position in future plot.
I'll probably end up watching the sub unless Jamie Marchi isn't the dub scriptwriter. I don't need her inserting her political opinion into an anime and drastically changing the initial context of the scene.
there is no context there, just usual dumb joke about honorifics argument, which is lost in translation. then replaced with even dumber jokes.
