An anime film for the High School Fleet franchise was announced at its second anniversary event on Saturday. Aniplex also announced a smartphone game for the series titled High School Fleet: Kantai Battle de Pinch!, scheduled to launch later this year.

Animated by Production IMS, High School Fleet premiered in Spring 2016 for 12 episodes. Aniplex of America licensed the anime, which was simultaneously streamed on Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Daisuki. The first part of a two-part sequel OVA aired last March and the episode was shipped on a Blu-ray and DVD volume in May 2017. The series ranked among the top ten best TV anime in the 2016 Newtype Anime Awards.

Haifuri was enjoyable to watch like GuP, so it's good that more is coming.

So apparently this is actually happening

I mean, I heard the show and OVAs sold pretty well, so it's not hard to see why there'd be a movie for it as well

More Haifuri for everyone, I guess
