At a special stage held on Sunday at this year's AnimeJapan, it has been announced that the TV anime adaptation of Kotobukiya's model kit series Frame Arms Girl will receive a sequel project. More information will be revealed at a later date.

The franchise began as Frame Arms model kits designed by Takayuki Yanase (Comet Lucifer mechanical design), then later remade as girls with designs by Humikane Shimada (Strike Witches). The franchise's first anime series was a short anime bundled in May 2015 along with the release of "Frame Arms Versus Set Zelfikar vs. Hresvelgr=Ater" model kit. A 12-episode TV anime series was produced by Studio A-CAT and Zexcs and was broadcast in Spring 2017. The Blu-ray box of the series was recently released on March 7, which ranked seventh in the first week of the ranking. Additionally, the fifth drama CD volume will be released on May 9.

All anime money should go to making more plastic girls.

The best toy advertisement I ever watched, I really think this anime was underrated and I'm glad that it's getting a second season, I wonder if they'll focus on Innocentia considering where the first season left off.

Amazing classics don't get a sequel and there are project literally trying to survive after delivering heartbreaking stories, challenging the industry... and Frame Arms Girls 2 gets a sequel. Amazing.

If I'm not wrong I remember the girls parting ways to find their own owners, so I hope Architect ends up being with Ao 's friend Bukiko Kotobuki. The pair would be awesome as they are both smart.

It was cute and shit but it looked kinda weird with that lackluster CGI most of the time even if it somewhat got better near the end. Plus the characters were a little too quirky for my taste. It was clear that it was all about advertising their toyline but they shoved in the main story a little too late. I thought everyone parting ways in the end meant it was over. Guess I was wrong.

I hope this sequel goes for relatively consistent 2d animation from the start and tries for an actual story this time. I mean I already got enough of the Busou Shinki formula, no need for more of the same.

They kinda hinted for a sequel when they showed that new robot waking up at the end, so that's nice.

It's just a matter of time tbh, iirc it averaged 20k per volume(correct me if I'm wrong) so it getting a sequel was not surprising while "muh fevorite animus can't get a sequel wkwkwk". Great news to me.
You can probably thank the discs getting bundled with model kits for that.
Well a good selling anime hardly ever sells on its own anymore so whether it be mobage codes, event tickets or what not it doesnt matter.
