There was no "fujoshi boom". Lots of sequels this year have dropped drastically. Even new shows aimed at males are selling less. Examples: Owarimonogatari, the new entry in Shaft's series averaged ~17k.Sounds like a lot and it was expected to drop but it dropped to less than 20k.
Ousama Game, Inuyashiki, Animegataries, Centaur no Nayami, Idol Jihen, Akiba's Trip, Zero Kara Hajimaru Mahou no Shou, Kuzu no Honkai and many more male oriented titles failed among female oriented ones too. Even the popular series on MAL/reddit Maid Dragon only averaged ~3k.
Katsugeki TouRabu, SideM, MahoYome, Starmyu s2 and the like still sold well. Did they sell like YOI or UtaPri? Nope. But what show in recent years have come near those two? They're like the Madoka and Monogatari giants i.e very rare.
Shows nowadays are getting sequels even without selling 15k or so like New Game, Umaru-chan, Made in Abyss and many more including female oriented shows like Starmyu, Boueibu, Servamp, Meiji Tokyo Renka, B-Project etc.
Ahh, this became long but basically, both male AND female oriented shows have seen a decline in disc sales over the years. For every Yuri!!! on Ice, you have a Dive, and for every Love Live Sunshine, you have a Tsugumomo.
Nah, the fujoshi boom is over
Come now, you can't just give me that short reply without stating the reasons you think why. Tell me, when was this so called "fujoshi boom" and why is it over?

I don't think we need a S2 for PrincessPri, i am happy with the ending but maybe a spinoff of some sorts.
Happy with an obviously unfinished story? tf

>30k for No Game no Life. Second season is imminent. Great sales for Code Geass and Girls und Panzer compilation movies too.
In the other hand, Osomatsu-san is selling only 7k (almost 90% drop from first season) and Idolish7 is selling good but it's because of a event ticket. Later volumes without event tickets are going to drop a lot (10-15k at most) so it's going to finish in term of sales very far from UtaPri or YoI. Looks like the fujoshi boom is beginning to end.

Aaaaahhhh!!!! I'm so happy it sells well!! After all, As far as I know from the little experience from the game, the anime adapts the game story pretty well~ XD

I was actually expecting a little more for NGNL Zero but I assume it's gonna go up over the next few weeks as well.
Code Geass sold pretty damn well too. Huge profit for Sunrise this week. xD

Eh... fujoshi boom is not really beginning to end. And you can't really call them fujoshi imo. Idolish7 is going to average 20k+ at the least and that's probably will end as the top 5 for the year. UtaPri and YoI is a different beast tbh, you can't really compare them to idolish7.

So, Gundam 00 and Code Geass are still popular in Japan, eh?
