Okusama ga Seitokaichou v1 finally crack 1014 units on BD sales.... (it started at less than half of its current sales.)

For short anime, it may has chance to make its budget back..... It is still very unlikely for making Season 2, though....

Based on the latest daily chart (9/15/2015) from Oricon, looks like "Himouto! Umaru-chan" is outselling "Monster Musume" sightly.

On the all-genre Blu-ray chart, "Himouto! Umaru-chan" is No.10, and "Monster Musume" is No.11.

On the Anime DVD chart, "Monster Musume" is No.8, and "Himouto! Umaru-chan" is No.11.

Go Utapri, go....

*4.6k Monster Musume

Looking pretty decent. Hope it can sell a bit more than it's estimated because if the manga boost is paired with some real nice sales we might be able to see a second season.

A bunch of new releases next week, so here are the pre-order estimates from stalker.
*4.4k Himouto-chan

Himouto-chan sure is popular there.... Though the MC there is like every otaku's wet dream, so I guess it's not something surprising.

The Uta Prince figures doesn't surprise me. Shame, I was hoping pre orders for Rokka no Yuusha would be high enough for a sequel..

The answer is always 'it depends'.
Sometimes sales don't even matter if the anime is only set out to boost source material/merchandise.

Some studios would do it willingly if the mangaka is popular (Rumiko for example)

Aslong as they get money for it.

In addition, Baby Steps 2 from the 2015 Spring season:

364 estimate for DVD-BOX Vol.1

It may not chart though, as Baby Steps Season 1 had an estimate of 342, but did not make the Top 300 DVDs for its week of release.

Oh, yes. Forgot about it somehow.
I did not see it on the stalker summer releases thread.

Question, how many thousand sales is the chance to get a sequel?

Depends, but it usually is 5k for a Aniplex show, 4k for a Kadokawa show, around 2k for VAP show. Producers like NHK don't need money, and others small producer that do 1-2 anime each 2 years have high chance making sequel of an anime
To look at your producer (company) for each anime, use this list
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10gZAy20oupz0WSpaX9yFfa8GhqwIXPTvrv964mBLbwA/edit#gid=1725542060

also if your manga source is in top 10 sale of the year or something, your anime will have 100% chance of getting another season

Pre-orders for Rokka no Yuusha and MonMusu are quite disappointing. Both got primary source bust but it wasn't good enough for S2 IMHO.
