This is the reason why comparing series based on their printed copies number is useless. A lot of it can be unsold copies due to the publisher's expectations being too high for a series, although in this case DanMachi will make significant steps to closing that gap due to the anime (as long as it maintains or increases its current sales momentum).

All the volumes posted is only 600K or so, just goes to show the difference between sales and in print.

Are you talking about per volume sales or overall sales? If its overall then I don't see why hxh and bleach wouldn't sell millions a year after their debut.

Snk did it, I'm sure those 2 did as well.

I am well aware of the inconsistency of its sales, not that it has dropped, more so #76 is an anomaly compared to the other volumes.

Yes, I didn't know that Shingeki no Kyojin only reach 1.2m in 2 weeks. Every time I spot it on the list it is usually around 1.6m so yea, my bad.

Here are the weekly total sales for Souma in the last 3 weeks...

132,808　[Vol.1~11 sold 89,696]　←　Apr 13~19

200,167　[Vol.1~11 sold 55,510]　←　Mar 30~Apr 5 (Anime started on Apr 4th)

Clearly there has been a boost in sales if you consider Vol.1~11 (because Vol.12 was newly released in the Mar 30~Apr 5 week), but not yet strong enough to move Vol.1~11 into the Top 50 weekly manga yet, but Vol.1~11 is probably hanging around rank 51 to 150 in the last 2 weeks. It has been in the Top 10 weekly manga series for the last 3 weeks, and for 5 out of the last 7 weeks. Just give it a few more weeks, as not every anime has an effect instantly.

@ToG25thBaam nope. Snk usually sells about 1.5 million after its second week on the list. I think you're forgetting about the limited edition sales as well.

Anyways the Normal edition usually drop off the list around at 1.6 million. But even if vol 16 drop of the list before reaching to those sales, its nothing to worry about since not everyone rushes to buy the latest volume.

If you really want to know if snk or any other series is loosing sales then you should wait until the end of the year to compare last year sales with this year.

Nobunaga Concerto is doing quite well. I wonder if they will make another season.

Yes it is, all volumes could be getting a boost each week but not ranked, let's say 10,000 per volume per week and that's 110,000 copies per week extra, Nisekoi was similar when it aired last year and the end of year rankings showed it got a good boost but volumes rarely ever ranked whilst airing.

Besides, imo they haven't even got to the real good part of the story.
