Having lost his parents, eight-year-old Yuuichirou Amane is taken in by the Hyakuya Orphanage, where he struggles to bond with his new "family." However, this soon becomes the least of his worries, when a major pandemic suddenly strikes, killing all above the age of 13. Taking advantage of the chaos, vampires—who previously laid dormant underground—rise up and enslave the surviving humans, using them as livestock to harvest blood.

Four years later, Yuuichirou and his family have adjusted to life under vampire control, although Yuuichirou still aspires to kill all vampires and end their reign of terror. This often puts him at odds with fellow orphan Mikaela Hyakuya, who emphasizes using wit and ingenuity to survive. Having garnered favor among high-ranking vampires, Mikaela gains inside knowledge and uses this to plan a daring escape. But during the attempt, the group of orphans is intercepted by vampire officer Ferid Bathory, who proceeds to massacre them. Yuuichirou is the only member of the group to escape to the surface, where he is discovered by the Moon Demon Company, a military unit dedicated to hunting down vampires. Given an invitation to join, Yuuichirou swiftly accepts, finally being presented an opportunity to achieve his ambitions and avenge his family.

Seraph of the end is one of the shows that made my childhood great.
I recently found out there is a manga and started reading it. And it truly is a masterpiece deserving one of the top places with the whole theme of vampire ,family ,demons ,bonds and best of all mikayuu's relationship. The story in the recent chapters is truly beautiful and interesting with Shikama doji/Sika madu's past and his goals.

It truly makes makes me sad as to why this doesn't have a season 3 , I mean they have more than enough content for making another few seasons so why not?

I liked the series from the first time I saw the anime even knowing that it probably wasn't adapted as well as it should.
Reading the manga has been quite interesting for the most part, I think it has been declining with the passing of the chapters, reaching a point that right now I consider that they are prolonging it for the sole reason of selling.

It has several good points such as a fairly well worked story, some characters that offer more than you could expect at first and for some, such as my case, an entertaining theme.

On the other hand, there are characters that as ...

Okay so it's been a while since there has been a recent review. Most recent one I saw was from a year over.

It's, in all honesty, great. The story, the concept, and especially the art are splendid. For the earlier chapters and volumes, that it.

The story was pretty decent up to about the 50-ish chapters. As you read more and progress through the series, plot and enjoyment, in my opinion, dropped a bit at the 60-70-ish chapters. And sunk a bit more when I reached the 80-ish chapters. Then at 90+ chapters, motivation to read just plummeted. And that's me being generous. Very close ...
