I'm really liking the nanatsu no taizai anime, good to see this boost in the manga! o/

It got huge advertisement because it warranted it in the first place. Warner Bros Bleach movie is never coming out, it was announced years ago and we've heard nothing since, it's just like the Cowboy Bebop movie.

They stopped making the movies because they just weren't popular enough to keep making them like the anime. They all made about $6-7 million that's it.

@scabab, yeah and with HUGE advertisemnt but doesn't make a difference does it?
Dragonball evolution :O enough said.

And Warner Bros is holding the Bleach movie rights hostage, that's why no new movies are coming out, otherwhise it would be making tens of millions by now :) based on each movie earning more than the last one.

I remember that DB sold over 150 million volumes while only having two thirds the amount of volumes as Bleach. I also remember how Battle of Gods outgrossed the four Bleach movies put together even though it's manga had finished 17 years prior.

Rmember when DB used to sell whatever it sold in Week 1?
And now it only sells barely nothing by Week 2...man this series is dead.

P.S. the 85 million mark for Bleach is near :)

Kiseijuu and NNT had really nice boosts. The top is dominated by sports manga and WSJ titles.

Kinda surprised that Kiseijuu actually had a boos though. The manga is so old that I thought that the anime was just to advertise the two movies and for merch sales. Anyway, Madhouse is doing a great job with it so I'm happy to see that.

Nanatsu no Tazai's boost is phenomenal. If it continues like that, it might reach SNK sales next year though it's highly doubtful. In any case, the year is almost over so I doubt its boost will be sufficient for it to make the top 5 of Oricon's yearly list since they only count copies sold until around the 20th of November.

Nanatsu no Taizai did came 8th in the tv animation ranking.

I think Nanatsu no Taizai will sell around 2-3 million at the end of this year.

I would say Tokyo ghoul has a better shot of doing it than Nanatsu no Taizai. But I'm probably bias towards Nanatsu no Taizai since I don't really like it.

I bet around 4 million this year and 6-7 million next year.

I'm not a fan of Nanatsu no Taizai either. it get my attention just because I want to see new Kodansha manga having hit, especially the one which published in Shonen Magazine like Nanatsu no Taizai.
