But since he has health problems since 3 years or so he puts out less pages on a chapter and takes a break every 3 to 4 weeks, so we get 4 volumes , or sometimes even 3 like last year. |

Added to the fact that One Piece has around 40 chapters per year instead of 48, due to Oda breaks, you get only 4 volumes instead of the 5-6 possible volumes. I don't really understand why Shueisha accepts this kind of volumes, given that it would make a ton more money if each volume was shorter. This same thing happened with Dr. Slump(1st manga of Toriyama) making the manga only have 18 volumes of potentially 25 or more. |
