New 'Tantei Opera Milky Holmes' TV Anime Green-Lit

A new TV anime series based on the Tantei Opera Milky Holmes franchise has been announced by Bushiroad and KLab's Bushimo, titled Tantei Kageki Milky Holmes TD. The anime is set to debut in January 2015.

The theme song for the anime "OverDrive!" was also mentioned as a part of the announcement. The OP will be sung by Milky Holmes and the ED will be sung by Emi Nitta, who will also voice a new character in the anime named Marine Amagi.

The third season of the anime aired between July and September 2013.

Then again, in the games the Milky Holmes always have their Toys and the same and good sense of humor was still there, if anything is "strange" that was the anime adaptations in the first place.

The third season was boring as hell but the real problem was the new characters, not only the Feathers, but the new Phantom Thieves were nothing compared to the previous ones, it has nothing to do if the Milky Holmes have their Toys back or not.

There have been many cases of stolen songs happening among the idols in Yokohama District recently. Even super idol Marine Amagi's hit song "Kiseki no Uta" was taken away. At the request of Marine, the Milky Holmes team starts investigating the case.

I don't have much hope for this new season... unless that investigation only lasts for a few minutes of the first episode before they lose all their Toys again.

Now that I see the image again, I can perfectly see those annoying brats from the third season again in the cover... Sigh. And I guess that the girl that appears in the bottom right must be the new character in the series.

Especially the second season was a lot of fun, I really hope it doesn't come to be like that trash of third season, at the very least. I wouldn't mind if it comes to be a little more "serious" like the games and the Opera OVA, but whenever the case I expect to be something really worth of it this time.

Milky Holmes, especially season 2 (THE AGE OF FARMING), was one of my all-time favorite series. Then 'season 3' happened and I lost all hope of a continuation, let alone seeing the series redeem itself.

Will watch, but I have my reservations.

The studio wants the CDs to sell because it's one of the few reasons why we are getting a new season, the BDs didn't sell much.

The first 2 seasons were DEFINITELY not for kids. There is some very adult humor in this show. I would not be wanting my 10 yo to watch this!

I'd be happy to have the Season 2 on crack again. I still think the funnest thing was the rooster which saved them in episode 1, who promptly got eaten by the group!! It had such energy and awesome tasteless humor. I don't think it needs an overarching plot. They could do it with american style reset episodes and it would work I think.

Season 3 does not exist ... no it never happened!

Milky Holmes for kids? like in 90's that could pass but in this case it just shows you have no idea what you are talking about.
