Fixing typos/editing 2/3 posts takes a lot of time, but don't worry, i'll still post my comments every 2(or each) week on here. Or atleast untill Symbv gets back, since he's way better at this, since he actually visits Japanese forums.

First season was, for a harem. Hijinks done right, good girls, great art. Not much to complain about. I'd prefer if it sold 5k instead of >30k but oh well, there has to be some mysterious exception in the top. Plus as Ejc (thanks!) pointed out, I said "mostly", not "all".

It won't sell better overseas, at least BD-wise (or if it does sell better, that would only be thanks to dirt-cheap discs meaning they wouldn't provide a lot of money anyway). However it might turn profitable thanks to merchandise, TV re-runs etc.

The first season of Infinite Stratos had amazing sales, averaging almost 34,000 per volume.

Right now that puts the show as the 22nd best selling full-length show since sales were recorded properly, which started around 1999. That number goes even higher if we start talking about individual franchises as opposed to individual shows. For instance both seasons of K-On and 3 seasons of Monogatari take up 5 of the 21 shows that are above the first season of Infinite Stratos, making that rank of 22 even more impressive.

Key words here, "they're mostly very good". He didn't say every anime above 10k+ were very good watches to him. Clearly IS is enjoyable and rewatchable to the people who bought it, because they would not buy it if they didn't. I'm sure you know how expensive anime is in Japan.

No. It sells badly so S2 is unlikely. Rank in the top means absolutely nothing. #1 of one week might be less than #5 of other week.

Depends on the quality of the show but 10K is real good and 3000 to 5000 should be average.
