Too bad KajiKaji's character song for Nobunaga the Fool didn't rank in top 100. Congrats. Mizuki-san. Not much new releases except for character songs.

Why the heck is chuunibyou still selling? That... that... s2 was horrible .__.
But good stuff for Mikakunin. I expected it to be on the top 5.

Another extremely busy week next week, why can't japan spread out the releases more?

It'll be interesting to how 'tesagure!' will perform next month. From its really bad ranking in early autumn, to the top 20 on Amazon Japan. It estimated at 4.2k~, but its sudden boost on Amazon might mean its underestimated.

Pretty much everybody I know agrees that Winter 2014 was one hell of a depressing season for anime sales. But it'll finally be over next week with the last batch of v1s coming out. Even though, aside from 'Tesagure!', they will all flop.

Looking at its quality, I'm surprised Chu2 Ren even managed to sell that much.

Next week looks like more fun.

Looking at 'tesagure!', season 1 was estimated at 1.5k, while season 2 is estimated at 4.4k. A jump of nearly 200%.

I'm hoping S2 is underestimated just as much as S1 was, a 6.2k first week would be huge.

Feel a bit bad for Saki but there's still hope for more seasons.

And while Chuu2Koi Ren sells it still has 3x less sales than S1 which is totally deserved. And glad for Mikakunin. It was enjoyable watch so getting 5-6k average would be deserved for such a series.

Oh, and Madoka Rebellion probably oversold K-On Movie at last.

I don't know if this has been asked yet, but what's the difference between A-version and B-version of Hoozuki no Reitetsu? The A-version sells much more than the B-version.

Also, it's always nice to see some OLDCODEX ranking. 25k copies sold <3

sakura trick 2555 -> 1987 (22% drop)
Weekly light novel releases (from 20/10/2014)
Monthly light novel sales ranks (from Jan 2015)

sakura trick 2555 -> 1987 EVENT TICKET

Saki is the odd one out there. The other drops seem to be explainable. Saki v1 had a bonus manga in it but I don't know if that is considered to be terribly valuable; 52 pages, 8 color pages?; it isn't like it will contain the conclusion to the national finals or anything like that.

Edit: in other news...

Mekaku City Actors is dropping... final predicted number is presently 2.7K. Just 12 episodes, I'd say time is already running out for this to be a hit.

Rettousei is also dropping, now looks like under 10K. It is two cour so it has all kinds of time to get back up there but I think it needs a really gripping episode to pull in non-readers.

Still too early to make too much of Rettousei though imo. As you mentioned, it has time. And as NagiAsu showed us, even if the first volume came out weeks ago, people can still buy it lol =P

Then there's Sidonia....wow...mecha fans rejoice!

It was just a depressing season in general. I think my overall impression and appreciation of current anime took a big hit too and this season it's only slowly starting to recover.

Hmmmm which is more interesting, having 90 friends who like Love Live songs or having 90 friends who like Love Live but haven't already bought it? They might not be friends for long...

Though I'm not much of an idol fan, those who are seem to be quite enthusiastic about it. One might say fanatical. So what self respecting love live fan hasn't bought the op? =p

And unlike the 55 copies of Bluray v1 of LoveLive!, there are no game codes in the OP CD that I know of so he really is just buying them to be silly unless he wants to be sure he gets all the Loveca+ cards possible and he is NOT sharing those with his 90 closest friends.

The songs are actually good on their own without the need to know about the franchise so he can probably give them to anyone.

The cards are probably part of his reason. He has a nice collection there.

So he did open them all, LOL! Fairly well distributed too. Seems he could have just bought 18 or 27 to guarantee himself at least one copy of each...

Keeping 10 copies... just in case he scratches one? And another? And another? And...

In other news this guy apparently has brought 100 copies of the Love Live S2 OP single. He plans to keep 10 and give the rest to friends.

I'm more impressed he has 90 friends at all (supposedly)

It has been reported that the LoveLive OP, first press at least DOES have a Mobile Game code for a set of three rare cards as well so not completely silly to buy multiple copies. You could use or resell the game codes.

Shipping aside it costs the same for them. Japanese CDs are expensive. This one is 2000 yen for the CD+DVD edition, I can't even find it for less than 3400 yen right now and I can't find the CD only version which was 1200-1600 yen or so. 100 copies waqs 120000-160000 yen or $1200-1600 or so...

Too lazy to count? I'd say you were too lazy to count here.

A normal Japanese has 2500$ income each month. So these CDs r not expensive for them

I'll ask my Japanese friends if they usually spend 120000 yen a month on CDs... half their monthly income. I say that sounds high even for most otaku spending to me but this might be a special month. It's going to be an expensive few months for LoveLive! fans!

Too bad KajiKaji's character song for Nobunaga the Fool didn't rank in top 100.
Only sold 236 copies:
145 *** ***,236 *,***,236 **1 Nobunaga the Fool Character Song Vol.2 TOYOTOMI Hideyoshi (KAJI Yuki) (SPEARHEAD!)

And ofcourse 'Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san' starts off doing badly.

What a shame. I actually quite like the series too.
Oh well.

Oh, now that's really a shame cause I really wanted this to do good so maybe we could see more yuri mixed with action/dark themes.

Do you spend half of your money on CDs? I guess parents pays for all your needs so you can use everything on entertainment?
