According to Newtype magazine, the first film will be reassembled version of the TV series with new scenes. The producers try to make the film more than a recap and want the audience to enjoy the background of the story, which was not revealed in the TV series.

Well, this is bad news.

It's going to be terrible. And then the needlessly anti-T&B people will be like LOL WE KNEW IT, THE WHOLE FRANCHISE IS CRAP. And I'll be sitting there going ヽ(●-`Д´-)ノ you're not giving it a fair chance crycrybutthurt, and they'll be like lollolololol y so butthurt, and things will escalate from there.

I've never met an anti-T&B fan in my anime circle of friends... although it could be argued, and very accurately to the point, that of my circle of friends I'm the only one who's even seen T&B. But fear not! I shall convert them to our pro T&B side or else they'll feel the wrath of a Lunatic inquisition!

The TV series director is mediocre anyway, his reputation is very average, so the change might be good idea.

Always thought the series lacking "touch" although I'm enjoyed it. and GGG final is awesome.

I was going to make a similar argument about the fact that the new director might be better and more capable with feature length movies. It may be a better experience. Although I will admit that I was hoping for the same continuity we had with Eden of the East.

Oh, that's good! At least it's not a completely recap from TV series. (like Sacred Seven: Shirogane no Tsubasa)

PR stuff. They say that about pretty much every single recap film I'm afraid, with varying degrees of success. Let's just keep our fingers crossed, I say.

What? How exactly did you see that coming?
Rhetorical question. This is just what Sandileina was saying. *sigh*

lulz, this is exactly what I was going to post.
How can you kinda see a director change coming? What? Hurray for making comments that point out that you didnt even read the first post.

Anyways, I'm on the fence about watching a somewhat recap movie. I did enjoy the first half of the series a lot and am actually interested to see what a different director could do with it.

Isn't there a mistake in Yonetani Yoshitomo's name?

I just hope that the movie wouldn't be a letdown. I enjoyed the tv series very much, and I expect no less for this movie.
