It was actually really good! It was a bit confusing but the creators cleared up a bit of that confusion with out saying too much. There was one character already from the first series and references to another, so its not a totally different story.

First ep was a lot of fun so hopefully the rest will continue to be as good. I just wish they would start using a room for premieres where you can actually see the subtitles instead of the back of people's heads.

I am way happy to hear about this! :D Last Exile is one of my FAVORITE series. <3

Knowing there's another season/series/somewhat-similar-anime-but-not-completely-the-same coming out, I gotta go watch Last Exile yet again. xD To freshen up my motivation to watch Ginyoku no Fam. *-*

Oh god, yes. I'd watch anything related to Last Exile any time. Murata Range's characters are always adorable.

It's not gonna be a direct sequel. Heck, it is not even related at all to the story of the first one. They are borrowing the name mostly, and it seems to share the same style, but that's about it.

It's a good show by all means, watch it if you haven't seen it. But I'm rather skeptical about this.

Different world is good, I can't really imagine a sequel from how they ended it.

Well, I suppose they could have done sort of far-fetched prequel... they could have cleared up a lot of points from the original.
