Even if this one of GONZO's highly acclaimed, I'm sure they'll find some way to GONZO up even their best series.

Cool, I was in the mood for some flying action.

The Last Exile was pretty good except it did kinda tripped on itself toward the end there, in my opinion.

Although I applaud the news, I would still like my Saki S2.

I wonder how they're going to continue the story of Last Exile though. Te closing seemed quite final to me.

People hate Gonzo because it's Gonzo. That's what's making me laugh. It's a like form of bullying.

Once bad doesn't mean forever bad. Once good doesn't mean forever good. People with heavy prejudices should know better than bash whatever Gonzo does.

Last Exile project... definitely will be promising if we get the same amazing soundtrack.

The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

...I think I just died for a moment... Yeah, just did it again.

Are we really talking more last exile? This is what I'm talking about gonzo, the gold that made me respect the studio before I learned of some of it's other works. Just don't screw it up gonzo.

Most corporations find ways of being around after bankruptcy. In fact, not all bankruptcies are the same. This merely means they didn't do the full thing, they are just taking temporary cover under the law while they recover from their losses.

Either way, early build or not, for a public release that screen is horrible. Usually you try to hide the bad looking models and hide in a smokescreen. That's why games, to set one example, most of the time show images and demos which are built just for preview purposes and don't fully represent the actual product. If Gonzo couldn't even create one good looking screen for the announcement...well, it's discouraging, especially due to their string of failures as of late.

So, is this a sequel, or a re-animation of the original Last Exile?

I got no idea how they intend to expand on the story if it's a sequel. It seemed pretty complete to me. Oh well, we'll see.

Didn't the parent company take the name of Gonzo after the previous Gonzo went bankrupt? I remember reading this somewhere, am I wrong? What truly happened to Gonzo?

Anyways, I enjoyed Last Exile. It makes me feel nostalgic (I saw it back in the early days of my anime hobby). I'll have my eyes on this project...I just hope it turns out to be really good, or at least decent.

Yet there still going to Tokyo Anime Fair after Ishihara's speel?

They lose BlazBlue, working on a vampire kitten show, and now working a sequel to a series that largely didn't set itself up for one?

I can't judge the series, but their business decisions are still nothing to smile at for me.

I really liked the 1st Last Exile but now they are making a sequel, it’s not that I think the show will fail but milking a good show that had an excellent ending is not a brilliant decision to make. And to top it off this is the 1st anime they are going to make after 2 years of Bankruptcy. This could really make them or brake them in my opinion.

People writing about some kind of bankrupcy are either just ignorant to what happens in the whole anime industry or all suffering from Alzheimer...

Gonzo never went bankrupt. They just haven't produced a show of their own, that's all. But they never ceased working, and did some animation work on such series as Kimi ni Todoke, Seikon no Qwaser and Senkou no Night Raid, as well as the second Evangelion movie and Gundam 00 movie.

Wilio said:

Yeah, and that too. This is freaking 2011, they can do much better. But if you look at the picture, it doesn't look anime-ish at all, since it looks like the ship was posted to a photo of the sky, so maybe its just fancy concept art. IDK whether to be relieved that the CGI perhaps won't look like that, or that the CGI used in that picture IS what will be used, which is quite horrifying...
