| I know this episode can be a bit crazy but this one took the cake. The jungle setting and the guy with the leopard outfit...I rolled my eyes hard. This episode gave me Tarzan vibes although still very amusing seeing Ataru being the target of jokes. Kinda felt bad for him though since he ended up getting hit hard several times. I just love how this anime loves what it does for the audience, no matter how crazy it is. |

| It's really nice to see Shingo again. But, I can't help feeling a bit nostalgic about Toru Furuya not voicing him anymore. Lum eagerly waited for Ataru at the meeting spot for their date. During that time, she was approached by a man wearing only a leopard-print loincloth. Despite Lum giving him a shock for suddenly trying to hold her hand, for some reason, the electric shock had no effect on him. Ironically, that's when Ataru appears, and surprisingly, he's not upset. Lum becomes even more irritated by his determination to act like the injured party, especially when she figures out that Ataru is genuinely jealous of the stranger but refuses to express it. Feeling the need to make Ataru experience what he dishes out, she takes off with the stranger on his elephant. This episode is a real gem—a rare full-length story episode, and I must say, it's becoming one of my favorites, lol. It's just so ridiculously entertaining. I love how Ataru chooses to skip a date with another cute girl just to be with Lum. Even though he ends up being late, the fact that he still shows up reflects some genuine growth in his character from episode 1. I vaguely remember this episode from the original anime, and I had a bit of a love-hate relationship with Shingo. He's a tad more tolerable than the original version, but still pretty much an idiot. What really got me was how Ataru earnestly tried to save Lum—it felt like the most he's ever cared about her in the entire show, imo. For once, I finish a Urusei Yatsura episode feeling proud of Ataru. |

| Lmao this is truly a " Never Thought I'd Get This Far" moment. 3:01 蹴手繰り (ketaguri) - pulling inside ankle sweep (Sumo) The episode title is interesting. 電飾の魔境 (denshoku no makyou). 電飾 (denshoku lit. electric decoration) - decorative lights; illumination. 魔境 (makyou lit. demon region) - “ghost cave” or “devil’s cave. ” It is employed in Zen as figurative reference to the kind of self-delusion that results from clinging to an experience and making a conceptual “nest” out of it for oneself. Makyo is, in other words, essentially synonymous with illusion, but the word is used especially in reference to experiences that can occur within meditation practice. (Yes I copied this and didn't actually write it myself). So it's like "delusion of decorative lights" This guy is speaking using old-fashioned words like a samurai btw, similar to Kenshin. LMAO that "MASAKOOOOO" was amazing! 12:08 想い (omoi) - "feelings; emotion", 重い (omoi) - "heavy", but in this context it's "serious; severe; critical" The background music is really cool at 13:14! 16:06 蘭学事始 (rangaku kotohajime) - Dawn of Western Science in Japan. 蘭学 (rangaku) - study of Western knowledge through the Dutch language during the Edo period Really enjoyed this one. Tsundere Ataru is always good. |

| Loved this episode. I think this is the first time we see jealous Ataru in the remake which is cute. This was a near-perfect adaptation. I think this episode might actually be slightly better than the original anime version just because it has a better ending. The new instrumental rendition of Lum no Love Song at the end was just *chef's kiss*. The only real complaint I have is that the Remake completely skipped the chapter where Ataru agrees to go on a date with Lum for the first time. I'll always be salty about that. But at least there's already a perfect adaptation of it in the OG anime. It's Episode 39 Thrilling First Date for those who may be curious. The next episode will feature a returning character from Season 1 as well as the debut of a new character! |

| The only thing that would delay Ataru is off course his desire to charm every girl he meets along the way. Lum sure has quite the suitor turning up. One that proved to be shock proof as well. Lum's expression as she tried to get Ataru to be more honest was adorable. The rescue op sure added some nice tension on top of the inherant comedy the show has. Shinobu's angry shout of help me lol. The electric jungle though sure had some interesting equipment that was used to excellent effect during the op. Man Lum playing dodge the loony while carrying Ataru was pretty fun. In the end its nice to see Ataru shape up and get Lum out of there. |

| Man this was a riot from start to finish. What an episode 😂 Ataru came to the rescue for his girl in the end. Honestly don’t blame Lum for trying to bait Ataru and get him jealous. He does it constantly without regard for her feelings, so it’s only fair she gets to have her fun too. Unfortunately, she picked the worst possible person to do it with. Imagine meeting someone who’s shock proof! The whole storyline in this episode was ridiculous in the best possible way. It’s so cute how much faith Lum had in Ataru to come and rescue her which he did in the end. Ataru putting together a jungle rescue search party to go after Lum, rallying the troops etc. you could really feel how determined he was to get his girl back. This was like the 2nd or third time we’ve seen Ataru get really jealous over Lum. Bro needs to realise what he got in front of him and stop chasing skirts. The problem with an episodic story format is progress doesn’t always show in every episode, but I think this episode did show that Ataru is at least somewhat becoming more considerate. He did turn down dates with other people to go on a date with Lum, so we’re getting somewhere. |

Well, it would be "fair" but this just isn't that kind of series, lmao. Also, she does it and the dude she used as a tool instantly and heavily calls her out for sending (seriously-)positive signals and baiting him only to make another man jealous. That was unexpected but also just reinforces the idea of what is considered "fair" here
That's a classic comedy for men moment.

| had a whole lum rescue arc, props to mendo and the boys plus shinobu for going along with that. ataru megabasedchad but cutting time tryna pick up girls and then left her after somehow succeededing lol. lum seeing some jealousy set in, another jokes episode. |

| There's a new rival on the black, though Ataru is just goofing off on his normal stance. Lum encountering a jungle man coming riding on an elephant, who can stand to her thunder shocks, and I have to say that aside from his grandfather existing in TV, he's a rather modest jungle man showing off his new-found "wife", though he's very restrictive on her leaving the place. That said, Lum is rather OK leaving with him, though his electric jungle is not something ordinary people can enter. So then, Mendo requesting one of his old kin, Saigo, he also happens to have an old TV, which can transmit their movements back and forth. Lum staging a rescue effort to pit Ataru and the rest with the jungle boy, it becomes real when not even Lum's electric attacks are working against him. And soon, they realize that the entire electric garden that Saizo failed in, ended up being the dense jungle that the jungle boy has now invaded in, desperate to get wedded to Lum. Oh well, the prodigal son has returned home...or rather, things are back to their usual. What a riot episode, enjoyable. |

| Pretty good episode considering it's an one full episode dedicated to Atalum. I still miss the comedic timing from the OG anime and some of the expression are better expressed there but this is still decent for what it worth. I'm still a little disappointed that they didn't adapted their first date which also the first time Lum trying to be a human girl dating. There are still a lot of good Atalum moments that I want to see they get into like the dolphin date (this might be possibly the very first time Ataru shows jealousy), Space matchmaking operation (the very first time Ataru shown willingness to get Lum back), Night Alone and many more. It's just that sometimes I get annoyed that they skipped some very memorable stories just to get into other characters too fast. Need more Kousuke scenes too, he is genuinely the actual best friend to Ataru not like the Lum Stormtroopers. They should hang out more with Shinobu and Mendou as well. Next week we will be introduced to another new character Asuka, hmmmm....... |

| This episode has felt alot more fun than alot of the ones before it. I really like this series when it goes for more a zany adventure type plot especially with bizzare settings like this. |

| Now this was a nicely done episode, mainly because it was all one story contained in one episode like the original show did things, I get why we can’t always get that with this remake but it makes me love it when we do get one even more. And this was one that happened near the very end of the original, extremely late to introduce a new character which is why I love that the remake has this episode here near the beginning of Season 2. And the character in question is Shingo who I see kinda like Ataru’s opposite, he even has resistance to Lum’s electric shocks which makes him seem like a more ideal partner, but of course Ataru’s determination to save Lum with the help of others persevered, a very nice moment for Ataru, I especially loved the scene here where Ataru first catches Lum despite his tsundere behavior lol. Only thing I think I wish the remake could have had that it didn’t get was the joke about the elephant being Shingo’s dog but it’s a very small bit so it’s not a big deal. Now I’m just hoping we can get more content with Shingo in the remake since I think he only appeared in an OVA after his debut in the original which is a shame lol. And looks like in the next one we might be seeing another character I’m really looking forward to seeing again! And as a final note, after getting a tad bit through Ranma, Shingo does remind me a lot of Ryoga, he even used a move similar to Ryoga’s umbrella attack, not the first instance of an UY character feeling like a Ranma character tho lol. |
| It's been a while since we've seen an episode of Ataru worrying about Lum but here it is. After purposely being late to his date while hitting on girls, one of which surprisingly accepted his offer, this random electric Tarzan showed up and it seems like the Mendo family was behind it all in a pretty funny way. They were pretty much fighting against each other in his garden and it was amusing to see how the recording from that show synched up perfectly with everything that was happening. |

No wonder Shingo thinks he is the perfect match for Lum, but he does not consider her wishes, keeping her captive. Ataru and his classmates are determined to save her and Ataru even risks getting shocked for it. They went passed each other! Like grandfather like grandson. |

| remembered midway through to have already watched this in the original series, but... damn, it was the fourth (or third)-to-last one? Oh, well, this was more entertaining that i thought especially in the long run, even if the final joke of Shingo hugging the television and Saizo hugging Mendo again instead of each other wasn't that unpredictable. Ataru needs to have a taste of his own medicine here and there, and to be honest, the biggest surprise is how that unnamed girl accepted a date out of nowhere with Ataru to begin with. |
