For me it was Shingeki No Kyojin and Fate, both of which I didn't get into until this year, idk how I missed out on what should have been a huge part of my adolescence but oh well, better late than never.

Seikon no Qwaser, because I took the first sentence too seriously from the description and thought it would be dark as fuck.

But literally every anime I watch. I often pick based on screenshots, but people keep missing the little sexy things and don't take screenshots of those.

Haikyuu. I thought sports anime is always unrealistic so i assumed haikyuu is the same.

Its now on my top 3 and its the one that leads me to the path of Yaoi. I love it.

Naruto + Shippuuden. Mainly due to the fact that there are over 700 episodes, idk why I didn't start maybe a few months ago instead of a few weeks ago (half way through Shippuuden already).

I would think to say the same thing about Hunter x Hunter (2011), but I'll eventually get to it once I've finished a couple of series and finished the 1999 version. By the looks of it, it could well be my next new addition to my favorites.

Please show your love for my Kiss x Sis manga review here. It will only take you 2 minutes of your time 🙏🙏

Nothing. I know if I would enjoy a show just from its cover and description alone and I go at them when I learn of them if they interest me. My instincts have never failed me.

Gintama. Should have seen it while it aired. Only started watching it after it took #1 spot in MAL from Clannad AS back in 2010 out of pure disgust yet ended up adoring it much more than anything.

Once I caught up, I saw all the seasons week-in week-out as they came out. Some of the best experiences I have had in more than 25 years of watching anime came from this masterpiece.

Watching Gintama made me laugh harder than I laughed watching Nichijou.
Watching it made me cry more than I cried for Clannad After Story.
Watching it made me love the characters more than I would ever imagine.

Fun feelings, warm feelings, happy feelings, sad feelings, experiencing shock and tranquility, love and hatred, passion and disgust - all the feelings in one package. A powerful story telling of arguably one the best cast of characters, if not, the best in anime. Gintama is an experience I am never gonna forget.

It really makes me think "Why didn’t I start watching this sooner?!"

Embracing myself to see the final installment! Readying myself to relive all the feels all over again when I watch the Right Eye in animated form. And all this after 700 chapters, when one would think this could never have a powerful ending. :')

I guess it would be Naruto. When I was younger, I avoided it because I thought it was a rip-off of Dragon Ball. Once I started to stop caring about Dragon Ball, though, I still avoided the show cause I thought it would follow a similar route to Dragon Ball that I did not like. Thought it would have no plot and only action. I didnt think it'd have any appealing characters (this was probably the most foolish belief that I had). Then I watched the first episode because my sister wanterd me to watch it with her and after finishing the first arc I was blown the fuck away. Now it is still my favoirte show of all time, and it's probably going to stay that way for a long-ass time.

Mine is the Monogatari series. It's so different to every other anime I've ever seen. I've only seen the first 5 series, I'm trying to ration myself and watch the next chapter or series every few months. I want to savour the experience.

That's another one for me also, I'd never seen a sports anime before it & when I saw Haikyuu I thought what the hell have I been missing. I can't wait for the new series to begin airing.

Chihayafuru. When I was first getting into anime, I saw the first 4 episodes my freshman year of college at an event from the anime club and loved them and planned to watch the series for ages. But it always got shunted down the priority list because it's a comparatively unknown series and I had so many classics to catch up on. But when season 3 was announced, I finally took the time to watch it and regretted not having done so earlier. It's become one of those series I try to convince anyone to watch because it is just fantastic.

AOT - two years ago this Xmas. I kept looking at the box set in HMV but kept putting it down again because I didn't like the weird face (Bertolt's transformation state) on the back cover LOL. Also, for some crazy reason I thought it was set on Jupiter's moon Titan (it's actually Saturn's largest moon) and it was in the Mecha genre - which I wasn't so interested in at the time. After the first few episodes I knew I made the right decision in buying it though!

3-Gatsu, Space Brothers and the first season of Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinju.

3-Gatsu has been out and I'd been constantly looking forward to watching it but felt intimidated by how critically acclaimed it was and the mention of an infuriating bullying arc. Space Brothers kind of interested me but not too much, yet when I actually started it damn was it great. Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinju is still pretty recent so I'm not sure it counts, but I'd still been sitting on this show for a while

I would have to say Jojo's Bizarre Adventure because it came on while I was taking a break from anime and I didn't start watching it until I saw the English dub on Toonami. Although Part 1 started off kinda slow, things started to pick up in Part 2 and now I just started watching Part 5. Hunter X Hunter was another anime I didn't watch until I saw the English dub and that's what got me to watching anime again.

I mean I finished it a few weeks ago, and I have it on the "to watch" list for about 10 years...even if it´s not the best shonen I have seen, it is at least top3, and the writing is flawless from around 75% of the series.

Gintama obviously, avoided this anime for 7 years due to many episodes and the "historical" genre put me off from checking this show. Well guess what, that's the most stupid thing I've ever done in my life. It definitely my kind of anime.

For me it was all the older "masterpieces" from the 90's I had avoided for years.
Trigun, Outlaw Star, NGE, Ghost in the Shell, Cowboy Bebop, and Berserk (I had already seen Rurouni Kenshin)
With those it was more of a "might as well see what all the fuss is about" than a "why didn't I watch this sooner". I'll admit I did really enjoy Berserk and Ghost in the Shell though.

Code Geass. By then end of the first episode I was wondering why it hadn't been in my life beforehand. Then I remembered that it was and currently is on exactly 0 legal streaming platforms in the UK (was on netflix for a while but got removed).
If you're reading this and you haven't watched Mob Psycho 100, go watch it and then continue with what you were doing.

Also, for the record, JoJo is great, it's fans are not.

I feel I didn't enjoy Guilty Crown when I watched it, but I have wondered for a while now whether I was too old to really get into it and get my heart hooked on it, like, falling in love with Inori, or having Shu's experiences resonate with me more, or something like that.

I mean, the show has some very nice music and visuals, so I kinda want to get more out of it than I did.

So, hence, "Why didn't I start watching this sooner?".
