Was watching a gaming youtube video and these guys in it were voice chatting. One of em were overusing dude a lot. A bunch of ppl were like triggered in the comments(prob memers or etc).

First Question : Are you one of these ppl that overuses these words/or do you know anyone irl who does? (words like : "Bro, man, dude")

Second Question : How do you personally feel about these people?

Like im not judging anyone or anything just wondering how ppl feel, as it sort of felt like an interesting topic to make on MAL. I actually know some ppl who have been this way since middle school to high school(not friends or anything cause I have no irl friends).

Nah, I probably overuse the word "Nigguh." But yeah, to me, what you use is mostly a hierarchy of how close you feelin' that day:
Man - a man
Dude - he's your dude
Bro - a bro
Nigguh - a nigguh to your soul
Be thankful for the wisdom granted to you.

I do but I do use it in a friendly manner, I also like to use "bud" or "buddy" but I usually reserve these words for people I know, either online or irl.

I have nothing against them, the words they use do not insult me, I mean it would be nice if we could know each other a little more but in my eyes it's a bit more chill to say "hey dude" rather than "hey you"

also dude on top, damn Ryoko looks great in the LWA school uniform

I say things like:

"Because, man" to try and close an invisible gap when I'm trying to explain a difference of opinion.
"Dude..." as a conversation opener, to express my surprise at something.

I only say bro when referring to Persona or Devil Survivor characters.

I use words like those by themselves to express disapproval. Sometimes in lieu of a name, especially if I can't remember it or just trying to get someone's attention.

Yeah I tend to use them when talking to other guys, I don't really see the problem with them.

Brahhhhhhh, finally, someone that gets my spiritual chakra. We should, like, ride dolphins into the sunset or something. That would be, like, major rad.

I call everyone 'man.' For me it's pretty chill and doesn't mean much, it really means 'human' more so than 'male' if you catch my drift.

But I am a spiritual and chill guy so I guess I fit your stereotype.
I CELEBRATE myself,
And what I assume you shall assume,
For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you.

Bro, I use all 3 on a regular basis, man, but not excessively, dude.

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. I'll admit, I can be one of these people, however I try to use different vocabulary after awhile.
you can't always use the same words to explain everything that's going on around, or else your just going to seem flat and boring.
I usually find it a bit anoying when people constantly say "nigga" or "Bros". I'm not against these words but they do have a limit.

Like no! Of course not. Like the only word I like overusing is "like".

However, in my native language there are a lot of people who add something like "bro" in almost every sentence when having a conversation (usually between friends). Does it sound annoying or weird in English?

I know several people who use "bruh" or "bro" at least once every other sentence. It can get annoying, but I'd be a hypocrite to judge bc I use "dude" quite often myself.

I dislike when people use it but not for the reason you might think.
You see when people text me or talk to me in a certain way alot, i have a bad habit of copying it.

For example if you were to text me alot and end each text with "xxx" then most likely i will also start ending my sentence with "xxx".

I don't even know why i do it tho.

I use "man" when I'm relaxed and casually chatting with another guy. I occasionally use "dude" to refer to another guy who I don't know his name.
"Bro" is a retarded word though, only frat dudebros use it, and they deserve to be tasered when they do.

In my opinion ,man sounds fine To me in any informal situation. bro and dude it's ok as long as you have any kind of relationship with the listener

If we're talking about the word "dude", then yeah I overused to the point where I don't want to use it anymore.

He's the only person that can use it:

Yeah, I'm the type of person that uses all those words frequently. My friends also say those words too so it's pretty common. Though my parents/relatives don't like it when I say those words to them. I don't know why, but it's whatever.

Man is the most harmless of the three, I use that one often.

Thanks to the internet I've accidentally called people mate on more than one occasion and it's 50/50 shot that they'll kinda look at you funny.

Feel like "my guy" was a thing I said before it became a thing, I wanna say like a year or so ago? I know it's pretty recent regardless
