| And i was just about to come in here and say now having finished yakuza 0 that its one of the best games I've ever played. keep in mind with 1 that its starts from very humble beginnings. Theres alot of ps2 charm there and it will pay off in strives as the series respects its history as it goes down the line with 1 getting the most callbacks of any, but 2 is the one that everyone gets on the yakuza hype train. Kiwami the yakuza 1 remake, unfortunately, seems to have issues recycling alot of stuff so its not the starting point alot of people probably thought it'd be but im still reserving judgment till i play it. That said 1 still has a soft spot in my heart, though if your emulating for the love of christ mod the undub patch into it. The dub is horrible yet somehow they got mark fucking hamil to voice one of the characters. Pointless bias rankings that no one cares about 0 > 5 >>> 2 > 4 > 3 > 1 > kenzan >>>> dead souls(only bad entry in the series) |

I was gonna pick up the physical books but apparently they underestimated the demand or something and the first volume was pushed back like 4 months for outside of the US. I guess I can grab the first 4 volumes all at the same at the end of year and reread and by then the translation should be on volume 6 or 7 and I can catch up. |

But I haven't thought about either of those in a long time until you just mentioned them so I wouldn't say I particularly care. The remaining ones are just pure 'meh' tbh :>. Grimgar is definitely the one among those shows I'd pick for a sequel. The other one I've been thinking about surprisingly often recently is Rokka no Yuusha. | Grimgar is an isekai that doesn't feel like an isekai at all like other than the mystery behind the their transportation to the other world none of them act as if they ever lived outside this fantasy world I would deffo watch Grimgar S2 and Re:Zero S2 I would PROBABLY watch Overlord 2 and NGNL 2 because they're fairly fun I may watch SAO III if I ever feel like watching meh again I would never watch Danmachi S2, fuck that shit I probs need to watch Log Horizon tho |

| triple for yakuza its a waste that this song is never used as a boss theme, it works so damn well for one after 50 seconds this soundtrack was so packed to the brim with amazing tracks that a bunch of really great tracks get kind of wasted on minor fights. |

The biggest issue is it kind of messes up kiryu's character a bit, in 1 hes alot more of a punk than in the later games and he grows out of it over the course of 1, but the script makes him come off alot more sociopathic than he actually is. It kind of still works cause you can pin how different he is in 2 and up on character development which to be fair is a thing. But still theres a big reason people say sega had no clue what they were doing bringing this series to the west.
