| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Eh another lighthearted episode. I think they're really pushing Hayate and Mirage's relationship lately.. Definitely felt like they were on a date with Chuck and others spying on them... So yeah, not much action but more relationship building. I hope pacing picks up soon but the character chemistry is charming to watch in a way. Nice to see a little bit more of Freyja's past too. Freyja and Hayate got some nice moments this episode as well, glad they are keeping the relationship dynamics balanced. |

The triangle is on with Freyja in the lead for now. Mirage's tears at the end were sad to see. Mikumo has plans for a couterattack involving the ruins. Let's see how that goes. |

| Freyja's ship getting bigger but it won't sail. Now Freyja already live thru half of her life, she will continue to sing till the end with the love lock in her heart and pass away. The other way around Mirage's ship getting smaller, but her love for Hayate will become even stronger(thats the reason for her tears). Mirage confirm win in the end, this is Macross after all. |
| Indeed lighthearted and nice. Building up relationships is important too. Hayate thought Freya would bash him back with like ecchi tone again but he sudden blush a bit. Love Triangle were to expect from beginning and Mirage tears aww. |

| Lots of cute scenes <3 but I couldn't get over the fact that there were just so many mistakes this episode?? Especially notable at the mall, Hayate's necklace was just missing in lots of the panels, and Mirage's hand looked really weird (and her phone when she was looking at her wishlist disappeared at on point while the list was still up??) Was it always like this/have I just been super ignorant? x'D Sad celebration imo, knowing Freyja's life span is so short ;___; edit: typos |

| The way Freyja looked at Hayate was something else. Hoping on the Freyja train here myself but don't want to be disappointed again by another Macross. As for Mirage at least we got more episodes of her with Hayate spending some time but damn still don't make much sense in the earlier episodes. That song though, another hit with Freyja as lead! Mirage confirm win in the end, this is Macross after all. yes Frejya already live thru half of her live, but, we don't know if the macross delta itself will cover the story until she dies. there's many possibility the usual macross tradition is the Mirage route, but i will ship Frejya X Hayate, cause, Mirage X Hayate relationship(connection) is so far insignificant/less potent than Frejya X Hayate special mention |

| OMG My feels, that ending, Mirage has to come back swinging hard after this. I swear the triangle almost ended after this episode, On a different note, Hayate's father was involved with the bombing of Windermere, whether he was trying to stop it or actually dropped it, I don't know yet. Also scouting ruins will fail. |
| LOOOL Mirage got burned this episode, haha. I skipped most the cheesy stuff and found the episode ok. Must say, ~10min of plot and the other 13 is filler? Wasted potential? Maybe. But that burn... So nice... |

The thing is I never saw them as romantic. Hayate and Freya give off more of a sibling kind of vibe. Its very easy for someone like Mirage to misinterpret and I am sure Freya might feel more than that, but this kind of set up so far is par the course for macross. I mean this was almost identical albeit more childhood friendly version of the relatively famous Misa/Hikaru/Minmay scene. All that is missing is Mirage getting drunk next episode or something. |

| The saddest thing is to be reminded that the windemere only live about 30 years since the beginning of the show until now (is like a subliminal message preparing us for the worst scenario), i feel Freyja carry a big death flag and the show end with a Mirage x Haya. But i still ship Freyja x Haya. |

| Not having war at all was considered for this series. It would be weird to consider breaking from Macross tradition that hard while not considering a different love triangle outcome. I wish they'd been more bold in the end. nDroae: The ending I've hoped to see is that one of the Windermereans wanted this war of conquest, and secretly caused it to happen (perhaps by using the Var on a NUNS pilot) to give Windermere a grievance. They're not great villains, but they're functional as far as I'm concerned. I'm here for the Singing to Save the World, and for the characters I'm fond of (I'm generally easy to please with character writing). Arkady: Up until now I felt like the Windermerean conspiracy theory had a lot of credibility, but a few elements in the last few episodes have undermined that idea a bit, we'll see how it turns out! nDroae: I just hope it's satisfying, whichever route it takes. If it was merely a rogue pilot, I feel like that would just be a downer. But if it was an order from NUNS, perhaps there could be a turning point where the desperate NUNS wants to use more dimensional weapons against Windermere or some other strategic target, and the heroes decide to stop them. That could be cool. |

Up to now the only TV Macross with a definite resolution of the love triangle is SDF. Macross 7 was left unresolved and Macross F as well (but F had the remake movies to get things done). Both 7 and F were pretty much resolved tho? |

| Cute, moving ep, even though Freya won't win the triangle, given Macross tradition. Also, yeah, given how previous installments have treated *mysterious hints*, I wouldn't be surprised, if Haya-Haya's dad had dropped the bomb. |

The only reason F was ambiguous in the series was because they wanted to do movies. Even then even according to Kawamori, it was not really ambiguous who was the winner. Movie basically spelled out the same outcome. Better, more mature and more likeable girl winning is Macross tradition. |
