Hm, I think OP song is alright, not too impressive but not bad either.

Good action this week with little bits of background storytelling. I think the comedy works rather well for this series though. Plus, Benio is a character that I think can be both cool and fun to watch at times. The accidental walk-in on seeing Benio near naked though..even this series has that heh. Such a priceless ending lol

OP song is alright.
Arima is a pretty eccentric character.
Benio vs Rokuro was pretty cool. Both going all out.

Fated to be the Twin Star Exorcists. Now they need to get married & have a baby.
LOL.

By adding the familiar and change some scene just to prolonged the story and episodes huh. I'm ok with it as long as it pretty much the same with manga anyway, but the familiar is a bit annoying lol.

Watching animes in high definition sure are good sometimes and do improve the mood, hahaha.

Yup, I'm targeting the OP for this Anime. ;P
The one with lots of effort and the one with "Talent". Another "Ironic" theme Anime... Confirmed.
Benio's able to impress everybody but Rokuro. Try harder, but please don't lose yourself... Oops, too late.
Oh yeah, I forgot. LOL

Things are finally starting to move heh.
Also of course the bath scene though it worked quite well.
The ending also xDD I can already see the rule 34... aheem.

The music and animations are really awesome.
Hell this series even has fights that are driving me onto the edge of my seat. nowadays it's not even normal anymore for fights to leave off this epic feeling.
So yeah I think this series is really one of the most underrated anime this season. (especially if one has read the manga a bit and how things continue)
I really can't wait for this series to continue

Didn't like how the anime made it seem like just any exorcist can enter Magano; it kinda ruins the risk factor of doing so...Ryougo and the other 2 Seika dorm guys weren't even qualified, let alone know that Magano even existed, at the time to do that in the manga because they weren't strong enough

Besides that though, I really enjoyed Arima

Hmm... seems like this isn't even an adaptation but rather anime based on managa but the story will go in it's own direction. There are already random new elements in the story... I think that Arima's arrival was also done differently.

Adding a mascot character just for sell later on sure is annoying but other than that I can't really complain.

From what I seen so far, one should forget that this is a manga adaptation and look at it as the anime original story... if every comment will start about how this or that is different from manga and what is done better and what is worse, we will all end up in paranoid state.

In any case it was once again pretty good episode... sure there is a lot of cliched in this and I think I saw about all the themes that this story has in something else but I came in knowing that I am going to watch a generic shounen so... no one should complain about that.

Now the interesting part that I think I didn't see before in this form is the fact that the two main characters are actually parents of the "chosen one"... Most of the story is about that "chosen one" and his OP parents are usually dead at this point. (This plot is still kind of introduced with Benio) But for the story to be actually about those parents is quite new.

Still with this kind of setting the only reasonable progression would be for the story to take place over a lot of years till eventually that "chosen one" is born. Like making the story with first, parents being the protagonists and then in the second part having their child do the world saving. If by chance though, the current protagonists do the world saving then... well the story was badly planned from the get go, while on the other hand having the story progress over the years would be interesting to see.

Sadly we are talking about generic shounen here. Protagonist in shounens will get older by no more than 5 years at best and their appearance will never change. So I am guessing it won't be that... at least in an anime... maybe manga will implement such storyline if author really planned it right, rather than adding the whole prophecy thing about "chosen one" just to force the protagonist into a pair and having comedic situation build upon that plot point.

In any case, I expect nothing but generic shounen storyline but that's what I came here to watch. I can look for a developed plot in a different animes, here however I somewhat feel like I went back in time and now I am watching the first episodes of all those generic shounens I saw in the past. This anime in particular reminds me the most of D.Grey Man... sure D. Grey man had much better and much darker plot line and much better characters but... MC with cursed arm power? A girl who flies around in the magical shoes and lastly the whole organization seeming like the organized bunch that would crumble to pieces in no time, with the boss of that organization being an idiot to the point where you wonder, who on earth made him boss in the first place.

Seeing all the resemblance of one of the first animes I watched I really feel like I went back in the past, but it's a feeling in a good way.

Ahhh yes....The first of the many plot twists of this series that blew my mind and the reason why I got hooked on this series instantly

I'll never forget this moment when I read it in the manga because I legit did not see this coming and I'm pretty sure most anime only's will feel the same xD This is only the beginning of the twists my friends lol

I dunno why some people in this thread is writing this off as anime original already because the events of the episode flowed exactly like this in the manga just with slight changes along like Benio's familiar (Whom I found to be pretty annoying as a character)

Whoever is voicing Arima, they nailed him to a tee and they nailed the comedic aspects of his character which made me very happy to see....The big fight scene was handled pretty great although they did remove some dialogue that Rokuro had towards Arima

Regardless, this episode wasn't bad at all imo and they handled the trolling at the end perfectly so I'm satisfied lol....The OP was pretty nice too

Watch the subs again after the raws, i must say the words use in the onmyouji world are a bit hard for the one who do the translation. The sub used are ok not perfect, but some parts are not specially the skill naming or the little poem by the onmyouji head. Of course i know its not easy for the translators also.

Seems a ship has set sailed. I definitely didn't see it coming lol

Action was cool in this episode and I quite like Arima already. It was pretty obvious that he was trying to bait Rokuro into fighting but it was still done well enough.

Of course we get the obligatory MC walks in on the girl taking a shower -_-

Op was decent enough. Not amazing but still enjoyable.

It was good episode, The ship has sailed so fast rather than other Shonen anime, even NiSHITkoi LOL.

The fight was good, the music and animation also perfect for this episode.
Daisuke Namikawa was really perfect choice for Arima Tsuchimikado , although his laugh still remind me of Hisoka, they're both have sama VA LOL

I'm agree with someone mentioned D. Gray-man to this anime, the manga have Dark atmosphere with complex & twisted story later.

Seems like next episode we'll see Mayura again, hhmm I wanna see her father (he so freaking badass)

Another textbook fighting shonen episode. So much for "This is totally different from the usual genre piece".
Comedy consists of Rokuro yelling "huuuuuuuh?!!!" and the usual stuff like walking in on changing girl that gets angry. Aggressively unfunny.

At least the action is pretty neat. Seems like a good show to recommend to people that are new to anime.

It is literary said that the chosen one will save the world should he be born... that's the prophecy... to begin though prophecies are bad tools to make the story going as if the prophecy never comes true then it was just rumbling of a madman... hmm, I guess Arima is a madman.

You are definitely right about it being more realistic to rather have the people that are alive right now take care of the problems and save the world rather than believing in the chosen one that might come.

Still the show promises the chosen one being born out of the two and I want to see that!

Story-wise it might be bad because this was the foretelling of the future, not an order. And usually you can't change the future. So parents doing all the saving would have the story contradict itself.

That doesn't mean that the parents can't save the world. After all, the world can be saved twice. For example, the parents kill the Big Bad but the Big Bad has a son or daughter who is even more talented and dangerous and Miko has to save the world from that person (though possibly in a different manner).

It could also be that the Miko saves the world in a different way than the Onmyouji interpreted, possibly by joining the villains. Now that could be tragic and interesting.

The OP was okay, nothing special, but it certainly wasn't bad.

That aside, it seems that it seems the anime is going to put it's own twist aside from the manga. As seen from the kyubey lookin fucker of Benio's who wasn't in the manga.

The fighting animation seemed a little strange, and the show itself seems like it'll be a walking cliche. Shown from that shower scene, the whole MC with a super power and mysterious dark past, and the main girl who is how the MC used to be because her family died. I'm not going to expect much from this. This will probably be generic shounen in every sense. Arima is certainly going to be my favorite part of this show.

Another great episode. I'm really hyped for it and as some user already stated, they changed some little minor things in this episode.

First thing first... this mascot is shit. Deeep shit, I already hate that fking original character. A good thing is that he had nearly no screen time and I pray that they don't change this fact.

Arimas arrival was a little different but not that big since he still was in his pants everything turned out OK.

The fight between Benio and Rokuro was also a great watch. It has become rare to see action based Anime with good animations. Sousei is one of them.

To sad that they left out the badass eyes from Rokuro when Arima insulted his old friends.

All in all I'm still very happy that they pay attention to the source and don't already make lots of big changes which would mess up everything since I think that the strong point of Sousei will be the character development and the deepness of them. If they start to change a lot this series could end up like any generic shonen shit.

That was pretty good actually, also I thought that the introduction of Arima could have been better though... but it was still nice, also not gonna lie, even though this familiar is original and not from the manga series, I still kind of have a quirk to like its design. Not when he's angry, but when he's just normally cute.
I love flame type animal characters Lmfao.

The fight was pretty nice, though the animation could have been a lot better for me... I dunno there were moments where it looked nice, some moments really didn't. But I still enjoyed it.

THE ENDING THOUGH, I laughed btw xD Oh yeah lets get married and have babies. colonthree emoticon

Adaptation wise, they only changed a few things but not so drastic. Its still good enough or passable if I can say.

Btw, I love the Ending song for Twinstar Exorcist, I dunno its my type of tone of music. I dunno why Lmao don't question me.
