I like the confidence levels of some of the girls already! Looks like another set up episode, can't wait for tournament to start soon. Touka is awesome though. I mean, those eyes.. The ED song is glorious. |

| Nice little speak from Saki there at the start. They're really upping her demonic power levels. Then again, they seem to be doing that for everyone. And I'm growing to like the OP already. Momo reduced to a ghostly whisp... Daww Hisa... So they DID animate the training camp pretty much in full after all? |

| So...Touka, who has been defeated quite early on in the first season and has been mostly a comic relief character who has an unhealthily huge crush on Nodoka, just mopped the floor with three of the strongest characters? I don't have a problem with lesbian-mahjong superpowers in general as it's quite fun, but now there is an internal inconsistency regarding powerlevels and detracting from the enjoyment value. I don't really see why this was necessary. Maybe it's building up to something, I sure hope so. The episode felt like padding to have 20 minutes between the OP and the ED, quite meh. I did like how Saki flashed her inner demon for a second though. If only the big reveal at the end of the franchise would be that Saki was the bad girl all along and Teru is saving the world. Also, Koromo in the oversized yukata was way too cute for words. 2/5. |

| That was super funny once again :P Dem power levels. Also it was a little bit different from the manga but imo it was better. More Touka fanservice (as in she got more screentime) and all these "my mahjong senses are ticliking" moments. Priceless~ But I want to see Mahjong too at some point. Fortunately it's gonna start next episode (I hope :S ) |

| Pretty much the same like the manga focusing more on the background story than on Mahjong but at least we don't have to watch 15 pages at a time now. Still the background stories are nice to but exited to see what happens next in the match the manga is currently covering, guess we still have to wait a few weeks for that. |

| New voices: - Ai Tokunaga has been replaced by Kotori Koiwai as the voice of Maho Yumeno. - Nozomi Yoshiki, who voiced Mayuko Tajihi in episode 1, also voices Kiyosumi Student Congress member Ayano Teraidara. - Yasuko Fujita, Hiroko Murohashi, and Kiyosumi Student Congress Vice President Ichita Naiki return with the same voice actors. - Chiaki Omigawa voices Megan Davin. I'm still waiting for Ichigo Sasano to be voiced! Please don't skip her! Did anyone notice that this frame from the ED is the color jacket of volume 9 of the manga? |

| I haven't read the manga, that said, too much "character development" = filler there goes 1/6 of the whole season without a real match of the nationals *yawns* I swear to god, please just make this like the first season was. This series has gotten worse over the time with less action and more *go go go go* moments and exagerations. Also, too much characters to handle then properly + samefacing everywhere. Man, if the first season wouldn't had been so glorious I wouldn't be seeing this. |
| OVanBruce - remember that the regionals started about 20% of the way into the original series. And it had several episodes later that weren't involved in the tournament either too. In terms of proportion of the series that takes place in the tournament, this is likely to be higher than the original series. Then again it looks pretty clear now that this first cours at least won't take us to even the start of the semi-finals. I'd expect us to have 9-10 episodes for the quarterfinal round if that's the case. Compared to the 10.5 for the finals of the regionals in season one. |

| Wow, I really don't remember the first Saki being THIS fanservicey, lol. The one loli on the all-miko team is constantly almost topless, and if she wasn't totally flat would probably be showing nipples. Assuming anyone in this series has those. I love all the bath scenes, and there are so many bodies of different sizes and shapes, all of them gorgeous. Haven't had a whole lot of mahjong so far, lol. Not that I'm complaining. I don't understand the mahjong stuff anyway, but I certainly understand naked girls. |

| I really hope they get to showing the mahjong matches soon. I know they had these filler epis in the 1st season but it was also double the episodes so they can spare a filler epi here and there but w/ only 13 epis this season, let's get to the mahjong tournament already! |

| Touka in her cold state is so awesome! I wish we actually got to see her play. And oh my, Hisa x Mihoko moment <3 Best pairing of Saki. I can't wait for actual mahjong matches! That brief moment of dramatic mahjong already go me so excited. Probably raised a few hairs too xD |

| Not too much to say about this episode, more cute girls doing cute build up and training camps. One thing I noticed is that the eyes seem different, like subtle eye shadows. Also that shrine maiden loli's tan lines from her school swimsuit made me laugh. |
