| So the Chihaya Karuta Club is formed officially ^^ 15 matches in one day o.o Slow down Chihaya, I know you want Kana and Desktomu to improve but it's always best to start out slow. So it was Chihaya's Birthday on the day they practiced, nice. When Taichi got the message and looked pale I thought something bad happened and I even thought maybe the girl that gave Chihaya her cards back sent Taichi a message that Wataya got in an accident, but nope it was a Birthday Message sent by Wataya. So kawaii when Taichi ate the cake in front of Taichi. I see some romance being born between those two. |

| Why do I feel like Taichi is going to be the second lead. The way he took the spoon from Ayase made my heart ache a bit. He was so jealous lmao. Also, Taichi is so pretty like wtf. I cant stop gushing about how gorgeous he is. Its also funny how Ayase forgot her own birthday. This just shows how she was extremely focused with karuta while they were in camp. They got me so hyped with every episode. The way they deliver the game is so intense i cant lol |

| The ending was beautiful. Although I am secretly hoping for Arata to come back and steal Chihaya's heart I think Taichi is a wonderful person as well. I mean he could have kept the text message to himself, but he didn't. It was great to see the whole Karuta Club celebrating Chihaya's birthday in the middle of the night after a hard day of karuta. This was a nice episode overall. |

| yooo.. this anime is such a feel good anime. It just makes you happy. Taichi was hesitant on showing Chihaya the message from Arata. I think that even though Taichi likes Arata as a friend, someone that he likes even more is Chihaya and he doesn't want Arata to interfere or stand inbetween them. It's pretty clear that he loves her. Really liking the dynamic of these characters and I'm super interested to see how this continues. The way they build up Arata's character is super cool too. The show makes you wanna see him so bad. |
| Is it weird that I don’t really care about the romance aspects at this point? Maybe I will later, but just seeing Chihaya kinda do her thing and everyone having fun together is enough for me, for now. Hmm. I do wonder how I’ll feel about this going forward. I wasn’t exactly expecting a romance coming into this, so... It’s not clear what other direction this might develop in, long-term. |
| Karuta Club has finally been created! But the headmaster of their school seems to dislike Chihiya, lol. About Chihiya, she is indeed dumb. I guess she forgot how tired she was when she began playing karuta and lacks general abilities of learning others. It's awkward, but it turned out that her friends support her dream, just like Chihiya did in the beginning of the show for her sister's sake. |
| From the beginning of this, I thought I was going to ship Chihaya with Arata - which I did when they were young. But nooowww - it's got to be Taichi! He cares so much and he's always been there for her! Even if Arata was grieving when they visited, he still kicked cards at her and was terrible to her where as Taichi gets cake for her and everything! (Though I hope Taichi has, like, secretly broken up with his girlfriend or something though as it's not good to date her when he's in love with Chihaya!) |

He was the reason she found a dream for herself and inspired her love of the game. His influence over her is overwhelming. I mean, look at how she reacts to anything regarding Arata. Even a small thing like an indirect text message for her garners a stronger reaction from Chihaya, trumping (once again) whatever Taichi pulled. I'm not saying Taichi doesn't have a chance. He has the advantage of proximity after all, but his biggest obstacle is Chihaya, and to whether or not he can get her to focus on HIM. The way I see it, the "triangle" won't be resolved in the series. But for the case of the manga, the non-karuta-related question is whether Chihaya can see Taichi as more than a friend or will she finally recognize her attraction to Arata as something deeper? YES! THANK YOU! It's still too soon to have her be with Taichi. She's so focused on Karuta more than anything. If I were in her shoes, I'd be focused on my dream, too. People are saying that she's clueless (but that's because we're viewers) but irl we'd probably be clueless too. I mean, think about it. If Taichi came up to me and told me he has a gf, I wouldn't want to stand in between them.. At the moment, I'm torn between the two guys. I hope this doesn't get messy. |
| Playing against the beginner players huh? At first I thought it would only break their spirit and make them realize their inferiority, but I guess that wasn't the case. I feel like training the new players will make Chihaya lose her touch. Oooh, a cute moment between Taichi and Chihaya! This was a very heartwarming episode. |

| Look, if you're gonna pull stunts like that to make Chihaya notice you as a man, then break up with your gf first, punk. It's not fair to that girl. She looked like she was really into Taichi and the first trash thing he did was date her on a whim. Next trash thing was go on a trip with his childhood crush. Third trash thing was set a trap for Chihaya by getting close to her eating her cake, that way she wouldn't be able to get him out of her head as she reads Arata's text (which still failed bc Chihaya has always loved Arata since back then). smfh. What an idiot. |
