| Codeine is one of the narcotics produced from the opium poppy (others are opium, morphine, and heroin). Since our megane villain is a geneticist, it looks like he tweaked the opium poppy to produce either a more potent form of the narcotic, or else has enhanced the derivatives to produce other effects (euphoria perhaps). If you look at how Toshi was behaving in the previous episode, he was exhibiting some of the behaviours of a heroin junkie approaching his time for another fix. This would not be the first "enhancement" of the opiates. Oxycodone (Oxycontin) was derived from related alkaloids. In the anime it looks like AF delivers a pretty potent high similar to that of a speedball (mix of cocaine and heroin) but from a pill rather than intravenous injection. Toshi seems to exhibit a mix of behaviours that borrows from popular conceptions of junkies, speed freaks, and cocaine fiends. (I'll spare you the particulars for each). To sum up, this is really bad stuff, and it is quite likely that an inexperienced Ayaka could harm herself without realizing what was going on if the drug was administered to her. It also is dangerous enough to the community that even the yakuza would probably not want to see it spread. And on another note, that opening before the OP was like a punch in the stomach. This was a really good episode. |

| My first 5/5 episode for this anime. Really enjoyed this one. Thought it'd be a drug related incident, well, it might not be but I'm just speculating. |

| yeah i knew she was too soon to be dead. i fear that she will definitely lose her memory :( Ayaka!!! T___T and wow i just noticed we haven't really seen Narumi's sister alot :P and yes why didn't Sayuri didn't notice about the flower :( that punches by Narumi are fucking weak, Tetsu can knock the fuck out this kid. So Narumi officially becames Alice's assistant. i don't approved of this, this kid has lot to learn, but i'll trust Alice. so it is true that the green house Ayaka's is hiding, is where the original Angel Fix is growing. this Toshi dude is just as worse as Narumi. and wow another typical douchebag lunatic scientist. seriously why are you spouting this Angel sprout bullshit? i hope you get a fucking beat down you deserve after what you did to Ayaka. ahh last episode :( i just hope everything is settled, i do feel the show is soo fast, and it was different from the original creator's vision. will see what the last episode holds. |

| I wonder if Narumi's narration in the hospital scenes is his present inner monologue or he's telling the story from the future since he said Ayaka would smile or chat with him again.
