And another thing I don't get is how people saying that Kamina dying led to great character development. It didn't. A persons close friend dies- he becomes all depressed- then remembers what they guy said- becomes ok now that he's gotten over it. How is that viewed as great character development? It's as basic as you can get. I agree with your argument about the way people overlook the flaws in the anime . But I guess the anime uses shounen stereotypes, and put a twist to it. I have to say that Simon did go through character development. Without his brother, he could not do anything for himself and solely depended on him. Did you forget how wimpy he was at the beginning? After his brother died, all he focused on was to replace his brother by being exactly like him. He didn't realize that all he had to do was be himself, and with more confidence. =/ Another fast fight with the Spiral King...I guess it's because it's not the final battle yet. Hope the other fights won't end up like that. |

| Didn't expect Spiral King to be defeated so early, but that just means there is much more to come. That said, this episode was fucking epic. Great animation and OST coupled with amazing fight scenes. Simon just proved to me how badass he really is. Can't rate it highly enough! Easily the best episode up to this point. |

| Great episode, that fight scene was really good. Glad to see this new Simon come into full effect; the way he defeated the Spiral King was pretty good. One thing that's ticking me off is the fact that they're literally making Yoko super pointless. C'mon, all she did was watch inside their HQ gunmen thingy.. At least give her like some sort of sniper gunmen or something.. Also, still waiting for my Yoko x Simon ship to come into fruition. |

| That was a good battle, Simon never giving up as usual proved the difference. Quite clever how he used the drill key like that. But now what? They have defeated the king but his words before his death have me worried. |

| That was epic. The anime could've ended here but another full cour? Hell yeah! Viral got beat so easily and he really can't take a break. At least he's immortal lol That fight between Guren Lagann and Rasengann ♡ Dai Gurren got a lot of new features too. Too bad it was its last run. Lucky bastard Simon got a hot princess on his lap the whole fight. No wonder he won! I really didn't expect that last second core drill stab. How the Helix King didn't die from that giant hole in his chest and had enough time to part away a message then die by falling was a bit funny, actually. |

| This episode was good but the fights become less interesting with the way their fighting spirit makes everything possible (Like how tf that little drill suddenly has the power to make a giant hole through the king's body). |

| super epic battle with Spiral King, the animation is godly fluid. It looks like Spiral King used to be like Simon or Kamina who fought some great force and be the king as we see, then he ended up with the decision to make the world as it is to protect humanity from an even greater force of evil (aliens of course). |
