What the f*ck is that Code Geass review

In a few words, I think your Code Geass review is well-written in terms of style yet ultimately quite simplistic and based on questionable expectations. Personal preferences aside, I think you missed a lot of details about the show. Lelouch was always portrayed as a flawed and impulsive individual right from the beginning. He was never intended to be perfectly rational, a totally cold-hearted analyst or somehow incapable of making mistakes, both silly and otherwise. That silliness is part of the whole spectacle of the show and thus fully intended. The series was never aiming for realism, so there is not much of a point in expecting it. That would be like going to a pop musical and complaining because they aren't playing classical themes.

Great Code Geass review. That show is pretty bad.

It is beyond me why anyone would give CG a 4 while giving TTGL a 10. Hell awaits for people who are rejecting their Messiah and pray to false gods, you know.

Ahh, a fellow fan of the infinitely wise and noble Satoshi Kon. Wonderful.

Also, there is a distinctly disgusting lack of Higurashi on this list.

Aww... Everyone hates on Elfen Lied. Sure it's stupid, but it's really fun.

FLCL is soooo good.

And last but not least... No Evangelion? I watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's kind of like Final Fantasy VII. It's got a bunch of annoying fans who overhype it so people tend to avoid it or even actively dislike it while forgetting that the reason it's popular is because it IS good.

Overall, you seem to be a lover of more intelligent and mature fair. Evangelion and ESPECIALLY Higurashi are right up your alley.

I'd just like to say that your Code Geass review was the most accurate. And R2 was like trying to fix a trainwreck by throwing more trains at it.
