Yeah, I sometimes get a little burnt out, but I have a massive watchlist, which helps prevent that. I might watch 1 ep of a series and take many months to watch another episode because I cycle through so many different series. Most people seem to watch a lot of episodes of a handful of series at a time, and I'm sure anyone would be more likely to get burnt out that way.

Is aweebwhoexists' response to you really only because you marked her review with confused/funny? I thought for sure you had to have sent a mean comment that got deleted for an outburst like that, LOL! You get some pretty funny responses.

Speaking of 80s gore OVAs, this one gets overlooked often (I had never heard of it before seeing it on a MAL stack). It's probably the most well made one left that's not on your list.

lol, I actually agree with you on Studio Gaybli and Paedozaki. I watched most of those films years ago, and while I think I would still like them (some of them maybe not as much) for their animation and cinematic quality, they can be pretty abrasive in a number of thematic ways and the I AM WAMAN HEAR ME ROAR stuff.

Akagi huh? It's actually been on my sights ever since I watched the opening for it. I loved how calm and nostalgic it was, it was definitely a change from the usual hyper vibrant ops that alot of other anime have. Ill be sure to check it out if I have the time. Fukumoto's artstyle works so well for an intense hobby like gambling too.

Ive never heard of Tetsuya before actually. Do you know if it's super intense (high stakes and stuff) or is it just low-key matches of mahjong?

Ive watched clips of Kakegurui and have no interest for it, so yea we're in the same boat for that one lol.

I stumbled across your profile (I don't even remember how, don't worry I have dementia) and I happened to see that gambling is a genre that you enjoy (im just assuming so as it is included in your bio). Also saw usogui in your favorites which is always nice to see lol.
I was wondering if you could recommend any gambling anime/manga that can deliver the same highs that Usogui had. It's ok if you don't reply. Just wondering is all.
