It's was really awesome! The animation, the comedy, the references, everything was great. Not to mention the ending performance with Lewis and Isami which is pure gold HAUEHEAEHA I wasn't expecting much either, but now I'm rooting for a 2nd season lol

SLR! Same thoughts. It's kind of in that weird spot between AI ethics science fiction and Lycoreco duo protag phenotype and it doesn't get to excel at either. There's a lot of good ideas here and there, it's just mishandled disproportionately in its storytelling. Not big on the infodump on iirc ep10 with the visitors about the world lore in particular, it's like they just gave up midway. There's not much room for growth in 13 episodes with how many things it's trying to do, but there was potential in the story. I could compare the watching experience I had with 91 Days, where a lot of its best scenes just *feel* narratively flat, but I do find Metallic Rouge has somewhat better direction. Didn't find myself loving any characters honestly, but the dynamics between the Detective and Noid were fun. Still struggling on what to really make of it all, but I can only hope it at least tries to wrap things up concisely. o7

Comedy is one of my favorite genres and you also have a lot of great series on your favorites list! And that was a awesome review. For me, Ousama Ranking is a blessed masterpiece and I'm grateful that I discovered the manga before the anime was even announced. Now I can't wait for the movie!
