| after chapter 43 of the ride-on king , this is the next manga that is affected by the real world 's events , lol : - young twilight lives in an ukrainian city . - special alert . the russian army has crossed the border and launched attacks against the ukrainian provinces . russia , an eastern country , has invaded ukraine , our western country . russian forces had carried out indiscriminate attacks on civilian areas . .......... twilight 's mother , 's father , and 's 3 boy-friends have a very high chance to be dead in the next chapter , lol . |

| With current events this chapter hits differently (especially for Ukrainians)... even if SxF story was inspired by Western and Eastern Germany. but now we know that Twilight was born and raised in Westalis. @daywithoutgames That would be really brutal but I think that outside of father only one kid (his friend) will be killed, I would guess it would be General because of his toy equipment. And that croquette lady killed by mob as revenge for actions of Ostania soldiers. |

| I'm in for a few chapters of Twilight backstory. Twilight's father is definitely more than he appears to be. First episode of the anime next week! dedwood said: that'd actually be a neat twist.I think that Loid's father was a spy from the east, he didn't like his country being insulted just because of propaganda from the west so he slapped his son. maybe his assignment at the border intended to prevent war from happening and protect his family but he failed, and in the next chapter he will die protecting Loid while instilling his dream for peace between the two countries. that's why in this chapter he is very obsessed with peace, and nowadays Loid is also obsessed with peace. |

They're like animals, and I slaughtered them like animals. | It's unfortunate that this chapter looks like it only came about due to a real war breaking out, but this flashback looks like it will approach war in a much more serous and realistic manner. The main thing this chapter does is that it subverts the subversion of war. It is true that believing that the people from the East are literal demons is absurd, but it is also true that those same people are willing to potentially kill innocent people in order to obtain a political and military victory. We also see how wishing for peace really means nothing at the end of the day. |
| I did not expect a sudden backstory. Anyway, I feel like Loid will talk with his father who is probably on the verge of dying. He'll try to apologize for what he did and his father will forgive him and that's why Loid also seeks peace. |

| Wow. Loid backstory out of nowhere. Let's prepare some tissues for good measure. If I recall correctly, Loid's motivation as a spy is to create a safe world for kids, isn't it? Yup. Dead family and friends. God damnit, man. No one likes war, but conflict is the essence of mankind. And out of nowhere, a single piece of bomb from the sky can ruin the peace just like that. Also, seeing at how little Loid's innocence broken by his first lie and how he feels really guilty because of it is quite sweet. Now Loid is lying as easy as he breathes, just like how all of us adults are, haha. 🤣 |
