Sorry no Green cause it was a Japan exclusive

Personally HGSS. So many amazing mechanics and changes that makes it such a fun game to play and replay from time to time.

Hard agree. It took one of the most memorable Pokémon games in my opinion and somehow improved on it tenfold. Though I admittedly still prefer the music from original G/S/C since some of HG/SS's arrangements feel a bit slower than their original counterparts (to name some examples, the Lake of Rage theme and the Surf theme), and while it is still decent, it just doesn't feel the same.
HeartGold/SoulSilver is also easily the best remake in the Pokémon franchise, hands down.

I guess my pick for runner-up is Platinum. Even if the Sinnoh region had its flaws, the region still gave me an enjoyable experience and even some fond memories, and I'm sure it was slightly improved with the additions and changes Platinum made from Diamond and Pearl.
I guess I just really love gen 4... gen 5 is probably peak Pokémon though with its graphical overhaul (especially with the beautifully animated Pokésprites) and innovativeness, but it's been a long time since I played White so I definitely need to replay it as soon as possible.

Honestly, the Nintendo DS era of Pokémon was the best.

And I love all the outfits different hairstyles colors and stuff you can change on your character

I haven't played many Pokemon games. And I didn't bought it because of the Yuri. That was a big pleasant surprised. So i really enjoyed that one. Imo We need more Pokemon lesbians,,YEEEEEEES

Still red for me, mainly cause its the only one I bothered to complete.
And the anime when it first started kinda stuck to the trip of the first games. So made it more enjoyable.

After that I never bothered to get far enough with the later games, grinding pokemon became a chore.

Fire Red for the noastalgia. Platinum was pretty fun too from what I remember, but I didn't try to replay it after one completion.

I'm happy HGSS is winning this popularity contest, I don't think another game has matched up to it in content or quality.

Platinum, HGSS and the White & Black duology were the golden age of Pokemon (with LG/FR and OR/AS as honorable mentions), difficult to say which one is the best.

If I had to choose, I would have to pick HGSS, is just a really great package full of content and stuff to do, even if it's not the best at everything it does.

Easily Diamond and Pearl/Platinum.

In general I love all of the DS Pokémon games, I just like diamond and pearl more than HGSS because of the music. But even tho I like Black and White, it has some of the most hand holdy shit where the game stops you every 5 minutes. I loved the game as a kid, but I’m actually playing it again rn and holy fuck it’s annoying.

Heartgold and Soulsilver. The best version of those games and it had soul. Hopefully, the Diamond and Pearl remakes have the same level of soul.

All the Gen 2 games, but in my opinion, anything after the DS era Pokémon games are overrated like Ultra Sun and Moon.

Otherwise, I prefer Digimon or Megaten games when it comes to monster-themed games.

I haven't played all of them, but the one with the most nostalgic value is probably Black. But the best one of all time is Brick Bronze.

While I love HG/SS more, I agree with you that I do like the music in D/P/Pt a bit more. I don't recall B/W having that much hand-holding though... I imagine you'll hate Sun and Moon even more then if you haven't played them already lol

I really don't want to sound like a downer, but I really feel the need to be real here—the Sinnoh remakes are 75% bound to suck. I'm sorry.
I know that this is my opinion, but I really do think that you shouldn't get your hopes all that high up, especially if you agree with the group of fans who dislike Sword and Shield. I doubt that Game Freak will fix some of the flaws that the Sinnoh games had, such as the region design—while Sinnoh is a memorable region, some of its noticeable flaws are that the route designs are admittedly not very backtrack-friendly and there are some strange decisions with stuff like the order of the Gyms you take on (especially in D/P). Also, if Game Freak didn't even bother to include Emerald's Battle Frontier for the Hoenn remakes, then don't expect Platinum's Battle Frontier to make an re-appearance.

Sapphire and Alpha Sapphire hands down
"I suffered all my life. No one ever truly loved me. No one ever truly cared about me. I only loved one thing in my whole life and that was Christina Menefee. But she was torn away from me. I personally only completed fully the original red version of Pokemon. I was so obsessed with it as a kid, I literally went my way out to squeeze every last enjoyment I could get out of it.

I'm still in the midst of playing Omega ruby. My friend told me that alpha sapphire/omega ruby is the best one so far. Not sure about my own opinion though. I did tried the original gold/silver and ruby/sapphire but didn't got far.

Idk, I don't like any of them in terms of region design, it's like which one annoys me the least. Black/White series in that case, I guess...?
Yeah yeah, some story intrusiveness, this "best Pokemon story" shit I don't care about and all, but BW2 had some feauters I like, particularly in the extra content and even in the originals just having thebiggest generation since Gen 1 with a lot of 'mons I liked and more abilities seems alright.

HGSS and Platinum felt like the most polished games in the series to me. I've never beaten BW2, but from what I've played, it seems really good too. Probably the last really great Pokemon game.

i picked emerald, but then i remembered the sick events in pokemon BW and if u see or catch every pokemon in the regional dex, then u can go to this island and get a free shiny haxorus. and the dope ost too. but then again pokemon emerald was pretty fun.

Easy, it's Pokémon Emerald. I mean, just look at these 3 starters.

And the Littleroot Town theme. It's the best.

Black and White 2. Best story, villainous team, Pokémon, and music in the series.

The Ghetsis theme slaps so hard.

Pokemon Emerald for me but for gameplay, I actually like Gen 6 for Mega Evolution.
It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person.

I really liked Platinum and Red and Blue. I do not know why, but Red and Blue was really my favorite. I still remember how much time I was spending playing that game. Recently I found out that there has been released a remake of it. The game is called Pokemon Firered. It is not bad, however it is not even close to the original Red and Blue game. However it is still a lot of fun. Especially using the InverseGamer cheats, the gameplay becomes really awesome, and starts reminding me about the original game.
