Welp, an episode of interrogation and investigation.

Family history really plays an important role connecting the story's past especially with that photograph. Shigemaru Kambe's name is an important part of this story. I also actually like the way characters taking risks for their investigations. Felt like the mystery thriller I've been looking for.

Wow didn't expect a tense episode like that, it was really enjoyable to watch especially during the second half, I hope the three last ones will be like that.

The last two episodes have been masterfully directed. We’ve definitely had a tonal shift from the earlier happy go lucky stuff to this.

I’ve got mad ID:Invaded and Boku Dake Ga Inai machi(erased) vibes from the last two eps as well.

Chou-san was an absolute hero and while his death is super sad, I think it’s a fitting way to end he and Takei’s story. He also continues to help out even from beyond the grave with the hint at the end.

So much mystery and so many unanswered questions, can’t wait to see how this plays out.

Intense episode, who would have thought Shigemaru was still alive or was it actually him I wonder cause they didn't show Shigemaru's face. Maybe it was Sayuri Kambe instead?

Omg... my heart was pounding the whole time! We're being led to believe that Shigemaru Kanbe is still alive but I feel like it's not actually him, just someone using his identity. I also think that Kanbe Obaa-San knows more than she's letting on too

I knew HEUSC was going to become a problem but I didn't expect it to fully shut down when they needed it most. I can't believe Cho & Takei are dead 😭

Little Kanbe was so adorable. My feels hurt when his grandma had to tell him that both his parents were dead... lemme hug him...

This episode was just... I didn't really expect things to be this “explicit” in terms of Shigemaru Kambe’s re-appearance. My heart really hurts for Daisuke though, imagine having to live your entire life thinking your father was dead but turns out that he actually isn’t and finding that out on a mission... Great episode overall, I can’t wait for the next one.

What a two episodes we have had! This one is just so great in its direction, just like the best ones of Id:Invaded... Pure detective work, no more fun.

Even when Cho-san dead is something really sad (at least he died as a true hero!), it was something predictable due to events in last episode..

This series really is being solid and the best is yet to come!!

He must have faked his death - with all the money and power he has. I already suspected that. Cause at least one relative had to be alive to somehow control the AI butler. (Or they would have had to program them befor their death.)

Only with the mother ... him having killed her. Didn't expect that. Thought some 3rd party that tried to steal secrets was involved. But I guess there is another reason for why Shigemaru is killing everybody.

Maybe like "oh I found/developed some super dangerous stuff and now I need to kill everyone that has information about it so it won't spread and dangerous people might get to use it". :D He didn't seem like mad scientist that wanted to use it himself just for evil stuff.

Just wonder how he killed Cho. (I guess Cho must have had a weapon as police officer?) Maybe he used some of the new technology ... or just the AI butler helped.

Turns out that Shigemaru Kambe's still alive and making experiments. Tying up loose ends on his part.

RIP Cho-san and Takei, although I wondered how did they handle it. It was after all a 2v1 situation.

To think that Cho and Daisuke would be fighting for the same "justice", I guess that's not even the surprising bit.

The more compelling part is figuring out family constrictions that even HEUSC cannot divulge top-secret information, this is one heck of a puzzle to find out what the hell's going on with both of Daisuke's parents and with Takei (whilst in confinement).

To hell with it, to fight the true perpetrator is to sacrifice some own security to bait and target straightforward. And it turns out to be...father Shigemaru? Still alive and clearing up his long-pending act of the matter with Cho and Takei in a 2-vs-1 killing action (RIP to the both).

Getting to the intense and spicy stuff...

Oh my, that scene in bed caught me by surprise XD

Dang... so Daisuke's father faked his own death... why? What's more, he did't appear to fool around but to kill anyone who gets in his way which is bad to know. It sounds like he's protecting something... He's a very dangerous man and also a serial killer! It makes me think he's some kind of boss mafia or something >>;

Great episode! Also, R.I.P Chosuke and Takei :'(

but on to more serious matters, it's crazy how different/serious this show has become since the beginning of it, but I'm loving it nonetheless. While it omega sucks Cho had to die at least they didn't just make it out that he somehow lived through it.

Wow so he faked his death, I remember they saying the dental record matched so there was no mistake its him. Guess they still ended up wrong and its impressive he can do that.

For him to beat two police man, he must of been quite strong in martial arts + knife lol. Would of loved to see the action scene. Then again the two policeman were drinking before the fight lol. After the fat detective mentioned that cho is stubborn after looking at whats left of his belongings, and there was only one dice instead of two I guess the other device was left on shigemaru. Makes me doubt that's just a normal dice, maybe its a tracking device or something

If the culprit is actually the father, I think suzue wasn't killed because she is close family to them. In the episode, the daisuke mentioned that the father killed the mother and regretted it and suicided. If the culprit is the father, then the suicide part is wrong but he probably still regretted the decision? Suzue is important to the kambe family and if he would kill suzue because she is investigating, he probably would of killed the whole family including daisuke and the grandma to erase all evidence and investigators. He must of had a really good reason to murder the mother, and I don't think it's just for his research?

For the bed scene, were they hinting that they kissed? I wanted to see the scene and I hope they can show more in the blu-ray when it comes out.

at least Takei isn't backstabbing or run, he chooses to fight alongside him, i agree about the blood part did Shigemaru squeeze them or smth lol.

If Shigemaru is the real culprit, im surprised his mother (grandma) didn't even do anything despite knowing and letting him freely killing people while making those poisoned gas, yikes.

Suzue was left alive? Either the culprit actually loves her so much that he would risk her alive or something darker is going on.
My guess is that after Suzue realized who the culprit is, she decide to join him and helped him to murder Cho-san and Takei? I mean, the guy does have a knife but its still a two on one fight. Suzue had a tazer and that could play a big factor.

I was in disbelief that Cho-san died 😞😞. But thinking through it made sense...

My prediction: Cho-san purposefully lured papa Kambe to kill him in order to reopen the case. Daisuke knew this beforehand and didn’t go to save him, because they had discussed it previously on the rooftop/wherever else. Cho-san’s last “reason to live” was the Sayuri Kambe murder case, so it makes sense that’s also the way he would be willing to die — giving his life in order to close the case.

But still so depressing, I thought this series would be a “slice-of-life” kind of vibe, but the meaning behind everything makes so much sense now. Wow.

I'm so fucking mad that Cho-san is dead :( He was one of my favorites.

These past two episodes have been my favorite and we only have three more episodes before this series ends. I don't know if it'll even have a second season if they wrap everything up in three episodes.

I had two suspicions while watching this, either one: their gardener or whatever was in on it or his father was still alive. Because the mentioned his car crash last episode but we didn't see a body. Plus if the cops were working together with him, it was possible they staged the car crash. Like others are saying, I think Suzue is also very suspicious, even if she is a relative. If Shigemaru can murder his own wife, why not a relative?

Chotto matte~ are you sure Cho-san died though? the ending scene showed only one die (instead of the two dice) that Cho-san was holding on before, maybe that left a message? someone mentioned before it couldve been a tracking device, i guess that means he might have left the other die on Shigemaru.

I mean if Shigemaru's death could be faked.. but is Cho-san's death really inevitable? :( Maybe im just in denial! Still an Interesting episode nevertheless! excited to see what comes up next!

Damn, this was one tense episode!

We're being led to believe that Shigemaru Kambe is the perpetrator but I feel like there's definitely more to this. Plus, I wonder why the censoring at the end there.

Cho-san and Takei-san, rest in peace. Saw it coming but seeing the dice and that music roll in really hurt. I'm surprised that Suzue-san was spared though, I guess that means we'll know who it is next week.

Spicy bed scene before all that. Didn't think we'd see Kanbe flinch like that, xD.

Just the mystery thriller vibe I was expecting from this show when it was first announced and it's living up to it so far, here's to hoping the conclusion will seal it.

@YggdraSEED: on why the face is censored, what if it’s actually Sayuri Kambe who was in on it in the first place (which I get is extreme). Tbh the parents look extremely alike to me so it makes sense why it’s not what it seems. Just because the perp is wearing a suit and tie doesn’t mean it’s a male.

Also, there are plenty of cases where a victim isn’t killed. Suzue could have simply passed out and the perp thought she was dead, or she could have pretended to die, etc. I don’t think Suzue would go behind Daisuke honestly because she’s been proving she’s willing to give up her life for him.

I have no idea as to how the perp still has access. It could largely be a part on HEUSC, because any info Daisuke and Suzue don’t have, the perps would have, probably the ones who have more definite authority.

I noticed something...
Person who refer to already dead have 4 person
1. Sayuri
2. Shigemaru
3. Imura
4. Saiki

The killer who walk into Kambe Residence and kill Cho-san and Takei wear cloth covered his face except the eyes and the eyebrow.

So,I compared the picture of killer with the picture of 4 person who refer to already dead.

>> Click here to see compare image <<

I think Killer's eyebrow is not like Sayuri's or Shigemaru's or Imura's eyebrow but It like Saiki's eyebrow.
And Killer's hair style when he walk to Cho-san and Takei seem like Saiki's hair style in bottom-right in the compare image

So, I pretty sure the one who kill Cho-san and Takei was Saiki.

Ooh! Also the knife looked most definitely like a kitchen knife. Could explain why Suzue wasn’t killed because the perp could have gotten the knife after a fight w Suzue. The perp could have just beaten her up if he/she didn’t have a weapon.

My theory was that that it was normal dice and not some tracking device. The dice were probably used as all of the probabilities who the killer could have been as a last precaution before death to notify the other detective (forgot the name) on who the culprit was and the number 5 is actually the important clue dropped there, rather than the dice being a device of some sort.

Cho-San didn't really have all that fancy technology that Kambe has and he already carried those dice around 19 years ago, so yeah, unlikely it's a tracking device.
