| Hello. Do you sometimes want to be of another species? My first games were Pokemon ones. And this franchise changed my life. I'd read Pokemon fanfictions and play games, and my favourite one is Explorer of Sky. And, that way, the idea of putting myself in the shoes of a Pokemon emerged. Alongside that, I developed a keen love for biology thanks to Pokemon. So now, I love animals for the miscellaneous wonders they carry, surviving around. So, I do sometimes want to be of other forms than only human ones. What about you? Any thoughts? |

| I recently started watching pokemon for the first time since I was a kid. Watching it again as an adult, doesn't forcing animals to fight against eachother seem a bit cruel? I mean, I'm no vegan or animal-lover but have you seen the epsiode with the trainer who whips his pokemon? Ash's personality also seems crappier (selfish and petty) than I remember it but that might be because I'm watching the Japanese version :/ |

| A bird for sure. Like _oak, I also wanted to be a mermaid as my occupation-- whatever that means. That was only when I was a kid though. The bird part comes from thinking like "Whoa, I wish I could fly". That's pretty much it. I'm pretty comfortable as I am though. |

| I already don't feel like a part of any species, including the human one which logic would dictate I'd feel most closely aligned to or identify with for pure physical/biological reasons, but I feel like an observer out of the constraints and diktats of "species". If you woke up tomorrow morning, afternoon, or whenever you happen to wake up but instead of a male or female human you were a falcon or an emu with full faculties of consciousness, memory, and sense of self intact, you wouldn't necessarily desire to go through all the superficial ritualistic motions of living earnestly as one of their kind. That's how I feel as a human and probably would feel the same as any other species, if my brain possessed a similar capacity in that hypothetical scenario/alternate reality of not being another mindless drone/robot for whichever species is under discussion. |

| Well thing is I wouldn't have same thought process as a totally different animal as I would a human so it's difficult to decide. On one hand it would be nice to be a pampered pet with a cute owner because no worries unless you become ill then you have no freedom of decision but some thoughts would be too different to know if i actually would enjoy it. Dolphin would be a nice choice because they look nice and are smart but they lack hands so being that smart but limited by your body would feel a bit trapped like maybe plus there is worrying about predators and fishermen's nets and oceanic pollution. On the other hand just being a humanoid like an elf or something sounds nice if those are available options.
