J.C.Staff Unveils 'Skate-Leading☆Stars' Original TV Anime

An original television anime titled Skate-Leading☆Stars was announced by animation studio J.C.Staff on Monday. The anime series will both air on television and stream online in 2020.

Gorou Taniguchi—known for helming titles such as Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion), Junketsu no Maria (Maria the Virgin Witch), and Planetes—is serving as the chief director. Kuroshitsuji (Black Butler) manga creator Yana Toboso is drawing the original character designs.

The anime will tell the story of high school students as they compete in groups in a unique form of figure skating called "Skate-Leading."

anyway it's better if they risk it with an original anime anime instead of destroying a good manga or LN this time .

Looking at the director and character designer, I feel like this might be quite great or at least an enjoyable watch. But, the cover design and the story description make this anime look like one of those "hey, we have cute guys and . . . more cute guys!"
Well, I love cute guys, but if I am watching an anime, I also want to like the characters and the story.

Imagine releasing this in the same year as Yuri on Ice Movie. This is pretty much dead on arrival.

Oh God please no. Yuri on Ice wasn't enough?

At first I thought it was some skateboarding anime, wich sounded great, but it ended up being some queer on ice lookalike. Yes, I should read things slower.

After kensei and hayato became musician in kono oto tomare, they meet reo aka kamiyan and join another YOI competition

I hope this anime is not gonna try to be the new Yoi because it will fail.Hard.

All the staffs and casts are my favourite and it's about skating.

Anticipate the cringe

Looks interesting to say the least but then again debating whenever it is worth the watch. I got super exited when I found YOI and I'm impatiently waiting for the movie to come out. This just seems copied...Unless the creators of this one come up with a different, and interesting storyline then I am willing to watch it through.

Maybe it will try to be the new King of Prism? Who knows.
