There has been Gozilla, kaijus, alien, Zombies, viruses and natural hazards that's been causing the end of the world.

What new aspects you want to see in apocalyptic show?

The one we saw in End of Evangelion, I don't think an apocalypse like that has ever been made so I would like to see an apocalypse in a sort of psychological and never before seen way like the one from that movie. Basically whatever comes in your mind that can be narratively coherent with the rest of the story.

apocalypse in the past so you had to survive and find a way to back to the future... like MC transported to europe during black death... or you know, mc trasnported to the pompei 2 mounths before the eruption, so you had to find a way to pesuade people to belive you...

nice idea, but wouldn't that change the future, causing a paradox if you try to persuade them?

Well, in anime, cyber-invasion. The rise of machines showing that humans are no longer the intelligent being in this world.

exactly, that's what make it interesting.... there is tons of possibilities there... you can prefer like zipang where they try to not alter history as much as possible or want to take fame and change the future...

Something like from "Gyo". A apocalypse where the main characters aren't trying to solve the cause of the infection or saving mankind like some stories, but more of just trying to survive through it; along with some suspense & drama. (As I finished typing, I immediately thought of The Walking Dead).

Though "I Am a Hero" was a apocalyptic manga that I really enjoyed and would love to see something similar, despite some of the negative stuff people say about it.

Well i have been watching gameplay videos of 'The Last Of Us' lately. There is a youtuber who has made total 55 videos from begining to the end (15 min. per episode, avg.)

And i m telling you that this is the best post-apocalyptic zombie world stuff i have ever seen, including all the movies, tv shows, anime and other media. Even though i was watching gameplay videos it looked like i was playing a movie. This is how much interesting its story is.

Post-war apocalypse depiction is just plain boring. I honestly feel that most studios choose that setting because they can reuse the same colour palette for each and every BG. Well that setting sort of gives 'hopelessness and despair' vibes to the viewers, so it rather fits the theme.

I'd prefer a post-apocalyptic world which not consist of remnants of forests and crumbled buildings, but rather just simple lives trying to survive in a planet which does not feature post WW3 imagery at all.

Just say a virus killed humanity except for the MCs and some side characters due to some sort of natural immunity, but most of the world is left intact (bugs, plants). I wonder if any anime has this kind of setting sans Humanity Has Declined.

Then there will be no chance of human survival LOL. Unlike zombies ghosts are intelligent and if u give them that much power then only god knows what will happen XD

I feel like the world being in apocalypse stories are always so unrealistic or far-fetched that it becomes predictable. Super huge natural disasters, mutually assured destruction war, some foreign interference/robot that challenges human dominance, etc.

So if we're going to be unrealistic, might as well not have something negative. I'm sure if God just randomly picked like 10 people who each get like 3 wishes (which can only affect 1 person/thing), the world would kinda already be close to apocalypse or more likely far far past that point.

To be fair it'll depend on what's the time frame after the apocalyptic virus which the show is set in.

If humans just died off really quickly, it really wouldn't take too long for much of nature to attempt to take back most of the places. It'll look pretty rundown in about a decade or so.
I'm not a lolicon, you're just projecting your tendency to lewd 2D characters.

If your favourite character is Tsutsukakushi Tsukiko, you are my soul mate.

Been a long time since I've been here, I'll continue expressing myself freely and believe everyone should too.

Apocalypse stories are boring, but post-apocalypse stories can be interesting. I like to see a post apocalypse story in a fantasy world where humans fight for a place in a new world among other fantasy creatures that outclass humans with magic or raw strength. The theme of the anime would be the determination, wit and technology is what allows the humans rise from the bottom of the racial hierarchy to the top again.

In a world run by crazy dictators, a meteor powerful enough to cause pandemic strikes. MC-chan and friends try to survive fighting against the most dangerous animals in a battle for just food, fellow humans.
Or
The gods grant a teen's wish for his creatures of fantasy to come alive. With that so does trouble. Enter MC-kun a sadistic asshole who would love nothing more than to killing those monsters. He finds himself a sidekick and tries to survive in the world where the local market sells Nessie for today's lunch.
Preferably with a slight cut down on the ecchi.(LOL nah! )
"You are the result of 4 billion years of evolution. Act like it."
"Why don't you eat make up? Then you can be beautiful on the inside too."
"'Sick'? Call me 'twisted'. 'Sick' makes it sound like there's a cure."
"What's messed up isn't my thinking, what's messed up is this god damn world."
"The world isn't perfect, but its out there doing the best it can for us. That's what makes it so damn beautiful."

a cyberspace apocalypse, where cyber viruses all over the world, kinda like an AI but since they're already harmful as a virus, they're self awareness is a bigger threat, that eventually built itself a colony inside the cyberspace. They could interfare on the outside world by controlling the digital weapons such as launching missiles or creating itself there own weapon such as nuclears and even blowing up any machines by hacking its system. MC and his friends are hacker where they cyberwar with this viruses, and on quest to find out how they become self-aware and eventually stop them.

Well also Angel Notes anime, if there will be...
Which Emiya are you?

Hmm, it looks like I forgot to mention the time frame. I'm actually imagining a world like Houseki no Kuni from my point of view.

Even if that kind of world is unrealistic, let's just say humans were Japanese-speaking Stone Age cave-dwellers that somehow went almost extinct.

An apocalypse in which anyone can time travel so easily like eating a banana so the flow of time is corrupted and time paradoxes occur everywhere to the point year/month/day system doesn't exist anymore.

There's this manga called Nanimo Nai kedo Sora wa Aoi, which only has the first 3 chapters translated. A bummer, because it actually has an interesting apocalypse concept without any type of new "race" as a threat.

Something like a nuclear war, or spreading infection like The Last of Us interests me. Idk, zombies and aliens interest me the most tho, despite how much they're used.
