| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Yum, this episode looked kinda delicious. The small amount of details the characters went on about the cooking was cute to watch. The outdoor parts were interesting but if I was Mikochi, I'd be more careful. Being that little in a big world is dangerous especially with unpredictable birds. Really glad to see Hakumei helping her when she needed it the most. |

| I'm still new to the whole thing of caring about who voices whom, but Aoi Yuuki sounds cuper cute in this episode :D I'd just been thinking the owl scene wouldn't be as dramatic as in the manga, but that was quite impactful. What kind of animal is that meat from? Was that answered in the manga? I guess this chapter will only encourage the MiA comparisons, but monsters in MiA don't seem likely to come back with gifts. I really look forward to the show getting past where I paused in the manga (around episode 7). |
| Little bit of an emotional roller coaster this week. The first segment of Konju visiting Mikochi and them making soap together was adorable. And who knew Konju preferred to sleep in the buff? Kinky. XD That horned owl segment though...when Mikochi got hurt and we learned how Hakumei nearly died in the past I felt awful. Thankfully the horned owl himself turned out to not be such a bad guy. Now if only we could go a week without any of our girls finding themselves in mortal peril, please? |
| This ED song is so cute <3 also the owl is pretty amazing for carrying such small fruits by himself and ofcourse there are no one evil in this world, obviously owl is kind <3 but the manga scene of it was much better, it looked way scarier and was drawn much better. @animefan8800 gratz btw. 6666 posts. The anime art can look flat compared to the high contrast and sense of dimension in the manga. It's fine for the closeup SoL scenes, but not as good for some of the grand images. I was thinking last week that I remembered the new house looking a lot more impressive in the manga, for instance. But I'm still happy with the route Lerche went. Adapting the art and pleasing manga fans is much harder for this show than Girls' Last Tour / SSR, because SSR manga generally looked like scribbles, whereas HakuMiko was intricately detailed. |

| though i didnt read the manga, i felt no nervousness when i saw the raptor coming in night. if he wants to kill hakumei, he could have done it in daytime. this show is just a fairy tale. everyone in this show are kind and nice. knowing this, i have no fear that this raptor or any characters in this show would do harm to our couple, nor do i need to worry for the next MIB. 5/5. i dont want to sleep, eat or do anything. i just want to watch hundreds of episodes of this toon without a break! |
| Mikochi with the wholesale work and konju comes to visit and ends up helping :) The owl is good even though it should be eating them and hakumei's story about getting robbed :( |

| Aaaaayyyy Konju came back. And things are a tad bit tense between her and Mikochi still, but they're working together so that's nice. And we learned that Konju sleeps in the nude... And on the other side, the girls found themselves in some actual danger... that turned out nice in the end. Animals in their little land have a nice habit of returning favors. |

| I definitely agree that the owl in the manga was much scarier, but this was pretty solid, and not a huge issue. It's going to be interesting to see what other chapters get adapted. |

| A Maiden that have expertise in every house business EXCEPT in cooking? Okay then, I guess that's pretty good. It's like when Hakumei and Mikochi "become" one and Konjyu is the "Result". The BGM while Hakumei met with Oroshi and talk about the dried meat really complete the thrilling atmosphere. Plus the payback, another tears for this episode. :') |

| Mikochi & Konju have their own specialization to brag about! Cooking for Mikochi and customized soap with fragrance for Konju! The Oroshi (own was never a threat to both Hakumei & Mikochi and it even made a generous exchange for the meat, which is healthy fruits! good episode overall! 4/5. |

| Really nice the first part of the episode, the interaction between Mikochi and Konju was so fun and enjoyable to follow, I had a lot of fun, as I would like to repeat a similar event as soon as possible. The owl scenes were so scary that sometimes, I had a little frightful, scary! I hope that in the next episodes, the past of Mikochi and Hakumei will be better known. |

| My favorite episode so far. The cooking scenes with Mikochi and Konju hanging out together was adorable. Konju doesn't even know how to light the fire! What does she do at home? Have her neighbor light it for her? Konju is a master soapstress. The horned owl half was suspenseful. It was cool that he turned out to be benevolent in the end, dropping off fruit in exchange for the dried meat. I knew Japan has owls, but I did not know that they have the Great Horned Owl. They are around here also, only thousands of miles away. Though mostly nocturnal, I've come across one during the day time. I would have missed the owl sitting in a tree, but for the blue jays that kept mobbing it. The jay's squaking tipped me off. |

| Yeah, right? i was wondering about that too. What meat was that? Fish?? I dont think so. So far, animals in HtM universe that behave like animals are fish and birds. We've yet to see sheep and cow, but most likely they can speak too. I mean, even wolf can. So most lilely it's between fish or birds.. |
| Konju is more likable that I first thought, she's really nice and the time she and Mikochi passed together was adorable. I've never thought a soup making scene would be so enjoyable. The second part, on the other hand, was so tense. The owl really looked intimidating and I was holding my breath when Hakumei met it for the second time... so tense. And the hug she gave Mikochi after that was reallly cute. I really like the relationship they have and the way they complement each other since ep. 1. |

| I adore seeing all of the products (and the processing of them) that Mikochi make. The daily life aspect is so endearing. I felt sad for Hakumei and her backstory but love her bravery. The owl was pretty epic. |
| Mikochi's new friend Konju who is totally adorable (I love her eyes) comes over to help her cook and do other craft things so she can sell. Konju can't cook, but she can make soap and tells Mikochi her blocks of white soap are no good, grinds them up and mixes it with tea to make scented soap. Then Mikochi and Hamoumei go out to gather fruits and vegetables, and somehow they have some dried meat and encounter a giant owl. The owl should have eaten them but doesn't... but the moment that was scary was Mokochi falling off a rock ledge. She is badly injured and so th two of them camp in a cave. |
| lol that was a cute first half. lol Wow the second part was a little scary at first but he turned out to be a good guy... well bird actually. lol I do enjoy this series. It's nice to have something mostly relaxing and just fun/cute to watch sometimes. |
