IF you didnt eat at least a few times during this show, then DOOM ON YOU! :P SUch a pleasant show, mixing high fantasy with gorgeous food presentation. AS I said before, its like GATE + Bartender and I dig it. Hopefully there may be a 2nd season that expands upon the two worlds interactions. r. 8/10, and a beautiful ending theme. PE@CE ^~^

I've eaten microwave scrambled egg with tomato ketchup dinne, for at least 5 days after the lizardmen episode. :D

The fisherman x mermaid episode also has delicious looking hamburger steak. Made me have a craving for some.. @_@

I agree with some of you. It didn't feel like a finale at all.

With every episode it had the same vibe. There wasn't any heightened suspense or tension connecting episodes. It felt very simple but entertaining enough to keep me watching the next episode wondering what food and people they will introduce. I can't say it's spectacular but it was nice. It felt like a filler show. A nice anime to watch when you are sick of the hyped shows that have major drama. A change of pace.

Agreed. Needed more Red dragon lady.

Whoa. Was not expecting all that backstory in the final episode. Came out of nowhere, honestly. Interesting connections, though.

This was an easy show to digest every week. Pun intended, I guess. I actually don't know what looked more appealing: the food or the girls. Either way, one of the better shows on Crunchyroll this season, since Amazon basically had all the killers.

This series has simply been delightful. Screw it. I'm adding this into the favorites. Hearing that lovely ending song and sequence one last time while seeing the restaurant itself and hearing that familiar door chime... sigh. I love it. I can already tell I'm going to miss this so much already. A very simple and relaxing anime, and that by itself, along with the great looking art, makes it a beautiful series that just kept putting me in a smile after every episode. There probably won't be another season, but if there was ever a slight hope...

It isn't a bad anime.
But it gets boring very quickly, especially if you want to watch more than 3 episodes per day.

Well, 6/10

PS: The ending song is very beautiful. Liked a lot =)

A warm and pleasant anime, that last scene with them all together was a perfect way to end it. It was quite boring at times, and some of the customers had uninteresting back stories.

Will miss this weekly dose of calmness.

I already know I'll miss this big time. That ED music gave me such feels. This was so soothing and calm, always putting a smile on my face seeing the various characters enjoy their food while learning bits about them and seeing how they interact with others at times. At times this made me hungry since I didn't eat anything at the times. Making simple foods like spaghetti look so damn good.

I'm sure @GangsterCat just said that as an example of an episodic series, not necessarily something like this.

Anyways, there's something called Otherworldly Izakaya "Nobu" that was announced a long while ago that there will be an anime adaption of it. It seems to be a bit similar to this, except that you'll only see humans, it takes place in a Japanese pub instead of a restaurant, and it's not of the mystery genre.

My god, this was just wonderful. Why did I not notice and watch this sooner? And now I want more, as greedy as I am. This felt too short, and the ED made me tear up knowing that this was the last episode.

I would have given this an 8.5/10. Definitely my most favorite of the season, tbh. I think this is the most underrated series of the season. Even more so than Princess Principal.

The kind of story telling and character connections in this episode were exactly why enjoyed the show so much throughout. Those little things they drop on you every now and then, just like two Sirens who made their home on the abandoned island Abel was on.

Now we find out that Master's grandmother was actually Yomi, the strongest of the 4 legendary heroes. And she got ported there after the fight with the demon. Also seeing that Alexander had a relationship with the Adelheid family was neat too. I don't know the exact connection, but it seemed like he saved the current princess' great grandmother from some fiery attack and that she was holding a child (the grandmother). Then he went back to fight in the war and by the time he returned she was dead. Perhaps that great grandmother was a motherly figure to him since he also mentioned his father?

The finale didn't really feel like a finale though. Story wise it was a nice wrap up with those handful of character connections, but that very ending with them getting ready to sit down and eat and it just cuts out, was pretty underwhelming.

I wouldn't mind a second season. There are plenty of more stories to tell and intertwine together within that other world. Many more characters connected and whatnot. It was an enjoyable SoL show. Probably could be considered one of those "healing" shows like Flying Witch.

Welp, this ended... I mean... It was nice, but honestly, all this has really done is teach me how important to have characters I can really get attached to.

So many characters introduced, quickly and pretty effectively, yet despite knowing essentially everything I need to know to understand the characters, the lack of time invested into those characters after their introduction leaves me unable to care for the characters much at all. And when I'm watching an anime where absolutely nothing happens, being able to care is kind of important.

There was nothing to keep me invested in this and wanting to come back every week except for my inner completionist spirit that wanted to finish it since I got so far in. Which is why I'm over a week late to posting this, I literally just finished watching it.

Despite that though, this anime was still quite nice and peaceful, wasn't bad at all and I did get a decent amount of enjoyment out of the series. And as for this episode itself, was a fitting finale for this anime I guess. My final score will be a 6/10.

so my curiousity cleared on the this episode.

the mystery why the door show up in another world is other than because of Tenshu grandmother who has been sent to that world, and it appeared she's the one who cast a magic to the door, since she's one of the four great heroes.

another mysteries that has revealed is that all the visitor are from the previous world Tenshu's grandmother lived in, even Kuro, the one of seven dragon are from the same universe, since those two heroes can sense "death" aura emits from Kuro.

what pleased me when watching this is the thought that our food are the best of all world, no one in the visitor's world can bestest the food from the restaurant.

I'd give 7/10.

Sad that its over. It may not feel like a finale,,but they revealed some good info about the restaurant.

Interesting to see the Hero's reaction to Kuro. Both of the heroes knows she's a whole different level and not to mess with. Not to mention she's a beauty in human form.

Sad to see the series completed. Not as relaxing as the other SoL anime but it has its charm. Hoping to see another season

Another surprisingly easy to marathon series, and this one was pretty great. A very comforting, relaxing series with fun stories and endearing characters. It felt a little like a mix between an anthology series like The Twilight Zone and a sitcom like Cheers. Every character got a little introduction story so most episodes felt different and new in that regard, but at the same time they usually became regulars afterward thus something like Cheers where everybody knew your name. I also got a little feeling of Shirokuma Cafe from it too, which I mean as a compliment. The food was always delicious looking, and watching the patrons enjoy it never got tiring. Honestly I wish we'd gotten another dozen episodes with these characters. Some other interesting interactions could have come of it no doubt, like that half-elf hero meeting up with the lion dude again. Honestly I was hoping that was gonna happen during the last episode. I don't have much else to say but I really enjoyed this series. Solid 8/10.

Oh, and that opening theme was really catchy! :D

Just when they're about to introduce something interesting by letting the sick princess meet with that blonde dude at the cemetery, the show ends.

This series would've probably been a lot more interesting if they switch up the formula a little bit.. A lot of screen time spent on people saying "oiishii" and arguing about best dish and whatnot, it became really dull really fast. Would be quite interesting if they switch up the events and not always end with "stumbling upon the door and going into it and eat food".

There's also not much variance to the "isekai" I feel after those people who met in the restaurant meet outside the restaurant, I thought for sure almost everyone comes from a different worlds, but seems like it's the one-same "isekai". That's quite disappointing tbh.

Not a good series to marathon, might've been a pretty fun watch if followed weekly as it came out, but watching the episodes in succession makes the series feel dull. The series also should give more attention to the "hook", I am not sure what it is, but there's no "hook" to the series, or the lack of attention for it.

edit: agree with user, rsc-pl that it got boring after the 3rd episode-ish, and that it would've worked far better as a short anime series, 3 to 5 minutes per episode.

I am also tired of the "look at how cute I am" or "how cute I sound" in this show, voice acting in general has taken a nose dive in recent years, far too many generic cute sounding voice without their own distinct traits and skills to execute. The masses eat that shit up because it's cute, but it's not skillful. >Big Baller Brand making it big, masses are stupid asf these days, they eat up anything thrown to them

Such a heartwarming series, i love how each costumer prefectly describe the taste of their favorite food and it's not overly sexualized like Shokugeki no Souma. What a plot twist, the cook is actually a descendant of great hero, a little bit unexpected but add more spice to the show. Finale was simple and refreshing.

Overall score 7/10, will be missed ofc

Kinda sad it's over. It was really nice seeing all these characters and the different dishes.

And I really wanted to see more of Kuro. Especially the last episodes were cute when she started to talk to both Master and Aletta normally but still used her telepathy with customers.

I really hope there will be another season at some point but for now I put it on Plan to Read in case I ever actually start reading more again.

I really enjoyed this anime, was a little late to watch but it was still worth it.

Good: Depiction of food was amazing and all the characters were great
Average: Background on the characters was weak and didn't give many connections and substance
Bad: There was not a plot throughout the series (1 ep arcs) which makes it more difficult to watch in succession.

Overall I rate an 8/10 and would suggest it for people that like food and/or fantasy anime :)

This anime was good and had a very great setting. But I felt like it gave more emphasis on the supporting characters than the Master, Aletta and Kuro. I would've loved the Master's full background, how did his predecessor build the restaurant and how did that dream come about?

I loved it though and the food looked delicious. The stories were good that led to the restaurant and the master was an awesome lead.

I felt like there is more to come judging by that ending and Aletta is still finding her feet, while Kuro is still lonely. Well anyway its a

I enjoyed this anime.

Although I didn't particularly like any of the characters, they didn't come across as being bland or trope-ridden. There were lots of connections between them which became apparent or were created as the season continued on.
Nothing else particularly stood out for me as being either good or bad.

It's like I want to give the show an 8/10 because I enjoyed it that much, however I don't think it was constructed very superbly.

Would love to see some spin-offs of the various characters!

They ended the episode with regular customer celebrating Meat Day by ordering pork soup, everyone there ordered it and enjoyed their food. So,Adelheid is Alexander's great granddaughter. He r grandfather doesn't approve of him as his dad lol.The moment Alexander met the princess or his great granddaughter,he instantly leave. He must be ashamed to not be able to save his wife.Poor man, glad he enjoyed his croquette tho.So the chef's cooking skill come from Yomi.Passed down to generation.Theres no explanation about the door at all and how the restaurant connected to other world.I hope they will explain that later on season 2.I enjoyed this series more than other shounen cooking manga. No annoying customer, hard working main characters and there's no sign of an antagonist.Dont need one to make this series interesting, because it's already great without any.I am looking forward to meet the other four dragons and perhaps more Yoni's backstory.

That was a nice ending. Had a bit of a giggle, when all the heroes had normal videogame names, except the most heroic, wise and dramatically lost japanese named one. Imperialism for live!
But glad to see that Kuro opened up a bit more. Yet the food still looks like play-doh and you have your high praises of the japanese cuisine all the time, be it for what the chef makes or even a standard of the shelf soy-sauce. And I don't dig those poetic descriptions of the foods by the characters all the time. It's just not my gusto. And that shocking reveal in the end was also rather meh. It had no substance and existed oly the last 5 minutes of the show, so not that great storytelling...

But overall this show was quite nice and soothing, the production value was right and you had no uninteresting storeis, so I give it a 8/10
