A little creepy but not on the level of the previous 2 episodes.

I liked it a lot more than the previous ones, at least this one wasn't completely predictable like episode 2, and didn't leave me confused like episode 1

So... is this the first ep in the whole YS series when the MCs survives? I mean, I'm sorry for the children/crows, but i think this is the closest thing to a happy ending that we'll ever get.

So far, this season is far better than the last

It's getting bland (creepiness-wise), but I'm glad they're keeping the original narrator.

This is the third week I question myself why I still download this season. Maybe it's my OCD of wanting to complete it. >.<

Yami Shibai started to flop since season three but I see the creepiness returned this season.

YES! finally it looks as though this season wont suck. even though nobody died it was still really atmospheric and creepy which is what I love. I wonder if there will be a follow up to this?

Children of the crows?

Bad jokes aside, this was a meh episode. The creep factor was there, but it hasn't really been scary. Still look forward to what the rest of the show holds, though.

This episode was meh compared to the others but the season is definitely better than some of the previous, and the ending theme is actually not that bad after listening to it a few times~ ^^

The story was good, but the lack of animation when the kid wanders off ruined it...

This episode helps reinforce the leash method for kids. They're always trying to get spirited away and become part of the invisible crew.

Overall, this is the weakest episode of the season, but still not bad.

The ed is great though.

First off, the ED has grown on me hard.
The idea of someone taking away your kid is definitely one that parents fear, but sadly, I think it's hard for folks who don't have kids/take care of kids or isn't a kid at the moment to REALLY take this episode in.
I definitely can't. It's creepy for sure, but I feel like later on in life, this really will freak me out (when I adopt, lol).

The theme for this season seems to be mothers and their children? This was such a creepy episode! I'm so happy it almost feels like Yami Shibai has been resurrected from mediocrity! I cant believe the main character was safe at the end! finally something works out for the best this time, I bet that mother will be keeping a closer eye on her daughter now.

I can see that this season primarily focuses on the simple fears humans have and give it a supernatural twist like the fear of losing your child or being exploited by someone.

Kids get spirited away and turn into crows this time around. The reveal of the crow children especially the one up close was a bit unnerving. I almost got kidnapped once so I guess I can relate to this to an extent.

Came here to mention this, unless my memory fails me, this is the only instance where the MC makes it to the end without dying or being trapped in some horrific scenario. This was actually one of my problems with Yami Shibai way back in season 1, not only is the horror diminished by having the same result every time (it's harder to get invested in any even given story when 100% of the time it has the same result), and I never understood why the series feels the need to end on these notes. Like the Umbrella Woman episode in season 1 is one of my favorites from the series but my affection for it was diminished with the "jump scare lol he dies anyway" ending. Not only because it semi-contradicted the rules the episode established but because instead of leaving someone (& the viewers) with a horrific/traumatic experience to haunt them for the rest of their life and perpetuate the myth, he just died like all the rest.

So I'm glad they experimented here, I think this episode is a lot more effective for it, it's not scary because of the result but how close the bad result was too happening. And the ending leaves a good message delivered in an ominous way that makes it more memorable (mostly because of the VA work).

And with all that praise said, I actually thought this one (and the first three) were pretty dull. Though having seen the full season all ready as I type this, I will say there are some good ones in this season.

Everyone hasn't mentioned this but the actual crow lady gave helpful advice to the mother to "hold on" to her child if she want to keep her safe.
"Manga readers are annoying, all they do is complain or spoil the anime we discuss in an anime forum.
They should really do their whining at manga forums.
