THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Welp, Fuuka is definitely getting more and more recognizable with the rest of the band. Glad she performed another song besides the opening this episode. I hope the show gets more diverse with their songs in the future.

On the the other hand, I think Tama begins to suffer a bit with her voice. The fact that she has troubling even drawing her voice out is troubling. That embrace with Yuu at the end though ;o

Was a good episode, finally they played. We can start speculating the end, from my perspective could be different than the ongoing manga.

Hmm, I'm rooting for those 2. I think they would make a better couple, and Akatsuki could be a best friend of them.

Tho I'm pretty sure it will be the other way around, cuz well Akatsuki is the child of the prequel story main protagonists. Right?

Well the concert unsurprisingly had a hell of a lot more impact here than in the manga. Because you know, audio is nice

Yes

This is different from the manga though unless I'm entirely mistaken. The whole chain of events past them deciding on Fallen Moon as a bandname is different

I guess they're going anime original for a bit in order to be able to stretch it out before continuing so that they can end the season by chapter 36-ish? Maybe?

Probably the best episode so far, Although the fact that they calmed people down and even impressed them when they played was a bit exaggerated but it was cool either way.

Also the end was so awesome, just too bad Koyuki is not the main girl in the show so we know who Haruna is gonna end up with, I'm all up for surprises though

That was a really intense and very great concert.....I felt so bad and angry by how Tama's fans were treating everyone but thankfully they shut them up with their music

But alas, as I expected to happen, Tama is just losing left, right and center and this poor girl is slowly getting destroyed TwT

I can't even buy the ending scene because I just have a feeling that even if Yuu doesn't reject her, any romantic feelings that he'll show her won't be sincere at all and it's gonna just make me even more sad

It was a really good episode but I have my complaints.

Technically it's only one complaint and that's the opening segment, It was absolutely immature and really irritating and kinda even disgusting to watch the crowd as they attacked Yuu and even Koyuki. I have absolutely no idea how they can be so immature, how was this even allowed on a school campus? This entire scenario from that picture to whatever it's outcome was this episode felt like an incredibly forced way to create drama as this never should have happened in the first place.

The performance in itself was really awesome, loved that Koyuki sang with Fuuka in unison. That was really great. Props to the seiyuu's.

The fact that the crowd's reaction went full 180 and while I'm glad for that turn of events, It does make this scenario look so contrived for the sake of progressing the plot and giving the band popularity, I normally never complain about writing but this here felt like really shallow writing from Seo Kouji. I maybe exaggerating, but it's not often that I really dislike scenario's from any anime.

Koyuki lost her singing voice. :((
The ending with Yuu hugging Koyuki was really nice, I totally ship both of them but I'm okay with Fuuka too. XDD

12 episodes. So we only have like 5-6 chapters' worth of content left until the supposed ending point. For 4 remaining episodes however, that's way too little. So I presume they're doing some anime original drama about Koyuki for the sake of dragging it out until then

Geez, that crowd were idiots. They broke Yuu's bass, wouldn't leave Tama alone when she revealed herself, and were harassing Yuu's family. Everyone stopped when the band started playing and they all loved it. Their band name sounds nice. It's unfortunate Tama lost her voice due to stress.

The concert eventually went really well, but it certainly started in disastrous fashion, what with some guy somehow throwing a beer bottle with ludicrous accuracy and all that other stuff. Still, it went really well in the end and I like the name for their band. The drama with Koyuki is also welcome, but it is odd that there is so much more focus on her than there is on Fuuka, all things considered.

Hell no, would you be with someone who almost ruined a concert and your reputation? not me, Childhood female friends should stop acting like they we're really important and unique.

that aside, the episode was okay, the concert was good, Its so bad that best girl isn't receiving the attention she deserves.

I've heard aswell that the anime isn't being a 100% adaptation, then the

I wanted to punch that guy who threw the bottle in the face

the songs they played on the concert were awesome

loved the fact that this episode focused more on Koyuki(poor girl hope her voice recovers soon)

I actually liked some of the changes from the manga in this episode. I thought a certain character randomly showing up to a highschool concert was lame in the manga and made no sense to me. I also thought they'd rush to chapter 75 so maybe we'll get a second season.

Since i read all the manga i'm concerned that someday an episode will screw up. I don't know... and i'm worried about the future of this anime, the story is cool but i don't want it to be the same of Suzuka (not even half of the story animated)..

The performance was great. It was almost the full version of "Climber's High" and very short version of "The Town where the Stars Fall".

They changed the way the band's name has been chosen and all that about Kyouki losing her voice is anime original (at least I don't remember it from manga).

I was gonna say, it's been a little while since I read Fuuka, but I don't remember any of this Koyuki drama shit mixed in at the end. This definitely seems like it's going full-speed toward an "anime-original" ending, so I have no clue what is going to happen. I'm still assuming "that" is going to happen though. We'll see how it all plays out.

Is going to happen the same. Also, they already changed some parts compared to the manga so at this point with just 4 more episodes we can guess how is it going to end.

The name of the band was decided in a similar way as the manga just in few pannels.

Do not expect that they introduce Aoi or any other character, they do not have the time and I doubt they will make a second season. The next episode is called Date the question is with who? All indicates that Yuu could end with a different person in the adaptation.

By far the best episode we've seen. The performances were terrific, I've even warmed up to that Hedgehogs song.

Those people in the crowd were pieces of shit. I wish the guys from the Hedgehogs threw a few punches.

Well it's too bad Koyuki is getting shafted by everyone for her stunt, but basically it's her fault for not realizing what she was doing.

Fuuka best grill, c'mon Yuu she's the girl for you! I am nervous now that people are saying it's starting to deviate from the manga. I really hope it doesn't.

What if, Yuu ends with Koyuki even if the anime's title is Fuuka? Now that would be interesting ~ (though im not even expecting it with everything cliche and unrealistic that's been happening in this show so far)

The OST was really good during those last few minutes tho. I have to admit I'm starting to actually enjoy watching this, but there are still a lot of things I dislike about it tho. The music's the only thing keeping me from dropping this tbh ._.

The moment when your realize the secondary heroine is a lot better developed than main one...
It's shame that childhood friends never wins... and he certainly won't tell he loves her cause he certainly is almost the same shitty character as in Nisekoi.

I really liked the mood they set in the second part of this episode but at the same time there were way too many wtf moments around like when Koyuki was moving around by train alone, without disguise, that scene felt pretty non-realistic.

My guess is they would do their date and then he tells her some 'wish you would told me earlier' bullshit sentence. In the real life, after she confessed her feelings to him, they would probably get together and start dating pretty soon. I also kinda afraid he'll pull 'We can't be with each other to not angry your fans' shit.

Anyway, the first part of the episode was really badly written, no way it would happen this way. No way Koyuki would be okay to just "appear" in the crowd, no way Haruna would be able to play and complete the concert with broken head and guitar, no way they would be able to appease the fans by just by their singing. Fukin' magic! Details matter, people! I also don't like their singing animation, it felt way too static - but I would forgive them that. And hearing their song for the fifth time around or so, again and again, it feels pretty weird (not to mention it's not their song).

Well, and maybe it's just me but when comparing both girls, Fuuka is pretty meh.

Well, I didn't think Koyuki would be dumb enough to do it herself, but just as I predicted last week:

nx6 said:

She's at the concert now and surrounded by these same fans, unescorted. She's so nervous she's jumping whenever someone mentions her name. Someone's going to notice her at this rate, and she has no one to ensure her safety. Remember Euphie getting mobbed when she was found in public in Code Geass?

And of course Plotkai comes to the rescue, and a band that has never really given a public concert before manages to wow everyone on their first try in a way that subdues an angry crowd. Something veteran rock bands through the decades cannot pull off when things get ornery at their own concerts.

This episode definitely took a step into the real and showed the darker side of being involved with the music industry as well as being a well-known celebrity of sorts. Your personal life is taken from you and basically your rights to having a social life are all but revoked. It sucks that this stuff happens to Koyuki but such is the reality she's in. The first few minutes of this show managed to piss me off quite a bit thanks to the fans. I mean if fans get that irate over shit that isn't really their business, practice falling down and don't get up fam. But solid ep for me as an anime viewer of this series.

For those talking about how this doesn't follow the manga, well I mean...the series is just further accentuating the point of its production being made only to promote the source material.
Don't believe the hype.

Yes I would cuz it obviously wasnt intensional. They both Loved eachother when they were younger and none of Them have had anyone like that after. And the difference here compared to other childhood animes is that they actually have been keeping Contact. Instead of a story where she just shows Up out of nowhere and trying to suck His dick first thing. Also I dont like akatsuki since the very beginning of the anime where she jumps on him slaps him and screaming hentai for everyone to hear embarassing him aand destroys His cellphone, would you rather be with a girl like that?

A beautiful episode! The concert was a huge victory for Yuu and his friends, being able to turn some haters around. Unfortunately, smiles turn to tears as Koyuki's problems become more promiment to the story. Fuuka is shaping up to showcase the ugly side of being a songstress, particularly one with personal issues such as Koyuki's. Hopefully, everything will work out fine.
